The lovely owner served us even though they had closed up for the day (thank you). Delicious ice cream and very friendly service. Hope your business goes from strength to strength.

I cannot give the place enough stars. I have visited several times now and each time have consistently had friendly, helpful service and ice cream that is simply exceptional. The flavours are varied and superb. My favourite is cherry ameretto... Mmmmm.... Beautiful. Serving sizes are excellent.... Very good value and a very fair price. Cannot recommend enough. Oh... Doggie ice cream too. Certainly one of the very best in the area.

Best. Pistachio. Ice. Cream. Ever! I have it on good authority the chocolate orange was excellent too...

Stopped in today on our first visit to Knaresborough - had a chat with the shopkeeper who directed me to a good sightseeing spot. Spoke about the source for their coffee and ice cream cones, and was generally very friendly. Made the experience just that bit better. The coffee and tea were great, not served scalding - shopkeeper confirmed the brewing temperature with us beforehand which is rare, but very welcome. Also double checked that we have everything we need covered (extra napkins, teabag left in or taken out, etc). The ice cream as well was stellar - I think it’s the best I’ve had anywhere. For a single scoop, its size was very generous. Would probably return to Knaresborough just for this place specifically.

Amazing ice cream! Amazing staff! Amazing hot chocolate! All round Amazing!! Our family visited on Good Friday and we will happily return to make our way through the ice cream and hot chocolate options 😋

There is a HUGE range of products to choose from with amazing prices, suitable for anyone. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Such a great experience to my day out to Knaresborough with my kids.

One of our friends recommended Castle Creamery so we made sure to try it when visiting Knaresborough. Staff were very nice & were observing covid measures - face masks, gloves, hand sanitiser available at the counter. I ordered peach & cream and red cherry swirl and my husband got salted liquorice & sticky toffee pudding. The ice cream were all nice, thick and creamy and in a generous portion. My fave was the peach one as you got chunks of peach in it. For the cherry one I was expecting more cherries including skin in the ice cream but it was more like a cherry compote mixed in with the ice cream. Salted liquorice was interesting but did not actually taste salted! The most disappointing was the sticky toffee pudding which tasted like some biscuit bits were mixed into the ice cream rather than delivering a full STP flavour. The ice cream was £2 a scoop which was a bit pricey but it was generous. Overall, a really good ice cream parlour with some interesting flavours.

I was recommended here by a friend and as we live locally, thought we’d come and try it out. We were not disappointed! A vast amount of flavours to choose from and the variety of toppings was fantastic. Very reasonably priced, generous portions and the man serving was very child friendly. We’ll definitely be back - probably next weekend!

I've lived in Knaresborough for a few years now and there are a lot of places to get ice cream from. I can safely say for many reasons that this is the best ice cream place in town!!! The ice cream is really good (whether you go for their whippy or a proper ice cream) They have an impressive selection of flavours with some specials that rotate. (I highly recommend the bakewell tart ice cream!) Their portions are massive and the prices are cheaper than other places in the area (both wins for me) They have a big range of different cones (coloured or with cookie pieces in the cone) if you want to pay more. And they also have a range of sundaes and milkshakes as well. The staff are really nice and friendly. I don't go that much (trying not to put on weight!) but they still recognise me each time I visit, and always ask if I am having a good day. On top of all the above, I would say that they are the only place I've found in Knaresborough when they wear a mask and gloves. Have hand sanitiser available and wash the plastic holder (that they put your cone in) in-between customers. (I've not found any other ice cream places in town that do all of the above, let alone even some of them!) And they also take credit card as well as cash.

Gem of a place to find for an amazing ice cream experience! Lots of gorgeous ice creams to choose from - would recommend the malteaser flavour along with strawberry jelly bean and cherry flavours. Lots of choice of delicious cones and huge selection of free toppings which was an added bonus. Very reasonable priced for what you get and the staff were very friendly...if your visiting knaresborough I would definitely recommend! Lovely and clean and covid precautions adhered to well.

Wow! What a fabulous ice cream parlour. We had an ice cream before our walk and we went back after to have another! Super friendly staff and absolutely delicious ice cream. I can highly recommend the mint choc chip and the clotted cream ice creams. We will be visiting again soon. Gorgeous.

Really enjoyed delicious clotted cream ice cream here today. Only open for takeaway due to the Covid lockdown, and have taken extra care with hygiene and social distancing. There was a queue but it was well worth the wait of about 10mins. Farm made ice cream, wide range of flavours, and choice of different cones/tubs etc. Probably the best clotted cream ice cream I have had (outside Cornwall where they often add a spoonful of clotted cream to the top). Can’t wait to return and try other flavours.

We loved our first visit (buying 8 ice creams)! The ice creams were all delicious (rhubarb and mint were our favourites) and the array of toppings was loved by kids and adults alike! Whippy ice cream also went down well. The lady serving us was brilliantly hospitable and the ice creams are very good value. Plenty of seating outside if needed, too.

Stayed in Knaresborough for a wedding but wish I lived closer so I could be a regular here! I had a Berry Go Round smoothie and it was delicious. Made freshly with great service and ingredients. Next time I am up to see family I will definitely be returning here.

The Castle Creamery was a wonderful find on our visit to Knaresborough this weekend. Simon and Louise were warm and friendly and the ice cream... Wow. Such generous portions. My kids loved the milkshakes with whipped cream on top. My only complaint is that it's 170 miles from my house. Treat yourself.

Popped in after hearing fabulous reviews and we were not disappointed. Fabulous quality ice cream and really friendly owners. We will most definitely be back again and again. Also, takes card payment which is a huge plus... no excuse!

I’ve been 3 times and love the ice-cream here! I go for the two scoops in a waffle cone to get two different flavors and the cone is filled with ice cream :) fave flavors so far are the banoffee and double Irish cream. Aiming...

Brilliant choice of flavours served by the most friendly people. Been back several times and already have so many favourite flavours. Must visit if visiting Knaresborough. If you live in Knaresborough, you are very lucky. Give it a try.
