From ordering, collection and sat down enjoying a lovely roast diner within 25 mins. Easy to order via messenger, meals were being prepared on arrival and final decision on parsnips was agreed and home we went. Very pleasant and welcoming staff. A very homely atmosphere in this small but well laid out venue. The beef and turkey was excellent, great choice of vegetables (cauliflower cheese was really tasty), pigs in blankets, homemade stuffing, good roast potatoes and a very well made gravy. Well packaged with no leaks. Still hot and a decent plate size. Really worth a visit to eat in or takeaway and by no means expensive.

We had the most amazing takeaway roast from Castle Chambers today! Huge portion, big variety of vegetables and it was so tasty. All gluten free too!🤩 Will definitely be back again😊

I bought some loaded roast potatoes with pigs in blankets and gravy, it was absolutely delicious the roast potatoes were crispy on the outside and soft in the inside cooked to perfection and friendly customer service I felt welcomed. I will be coming back.

Met up with friends for a late lunch. Fantastic food and service. All three of us had something different from the menu and all of our three choices were equally as good. The sausage roll was huge, no stinginess here, more meat than pastry. I asked for an addition to my toasted wrap and there was no hesitancy. The order was even read back to us to clarify if any mistakes had been made. To us that was good service. The carrot cake was so good didn't even stop to photograph it 😉 The history of Barnstaple's colourful past decorates the walls. Perfectly interesting. Atmosphere is cosy and pleasant. Like being in someone's home.

A wonderful cafe, lovely old building with several individual rooms, full of character. Then there is the food, brilliant, good sized scones of various types, excellent coffee and very friendly staff. The loaded roasties with meat and gravy are delicious. Can highly recommend this cafe!

We had a rendezvous with friends in this charming café near the strand in Barnstaple. Dog friendly in a small room just off the front door. Each room is dedicated to the sad history of former inhabitants of the town, it is worth a visit just to remind oneself of how things were. The food is simple and very tasty all home cooking. The welcome delightful. We'll worth visiting this haven of gentleness.

It was pure fate we ended up here, doggy friendly and child friendly! The outside and entrance make you think it’s going to be a bit hostelly, but my god once your in, the rooms are well spaced out, the decor is very different but I loved it and the portion size of the food was wonderful, asked for a bit of sausage for the dog they brought me a box full of shredded gammon. He was drooling with happiness. They were so accommodating to making something for my 22 month baby and the food we had was delicious and properly home made. Can’t recommend higher and if I lived closer would be returning but sadly four hours is a bit too far. If you live close by give this place a go :)

Absolutely fantastic. We were given an afternoon tea for a present and Caffyns Farm was the closest for us in Plymouth. The food was amazing, and very generous portions too, we came home with a doggy bag. There's a lovely warm & welcoming atmosphere, all the staff were absolutely lovely and it's very clean and tidy. Only criticism is that the toilets are upstairs (i walk with crutches). They also offer camping facilities and horse riding, not to mention feeding the goats in Goat Cafe lol while admiring the gorgeous views. Thoroughly recommend to anyone looking for somewhere nice, chilled and peaceful. Was well worth the 2 hour drive. Will definitely be going back in the future 😊😊

Excellent food, very imaginative, tasty and colourful. We had a small portion of savoury waffles (sweet potato), one with avocado, tahini, cumin and lime juice, the other with hummus, black beans and jalapeños. And kombucha to drink. This was our second visit and won’t be the last. Thank you for a memorable lunch.
