Called in here again for lunch, we just had soup and wheaten bread, but it's the best soup I tasted for a while and the wheaten bread was excellent, along with a coffee it was a great light but filling lunch.

Place for lunch or a snack rather than a dinner. Nice food and staff. Good location after a cycle or walk.

Stopped for a sandwich at lunch time as we wanted to see Castle Archdale but alas it is no more, just the original courtyard which is where the tea room is. We ordered toasted sandwiches and that’s exactly what we got, no trimmings of any kind such as a small piece of salad, just a sandwich. They use quite thin bread and toast in one of those horrid sandwich makers which tends to over cook. It’s ok but not particularly good value, wouldn’t go back.

Always enjoy going here for tea and scones. They are well worth the money! The tearoom is located in the courtyard area, which in itself is a lovely setting. The tea room itself is tastefully decorated. Staff are always friendly and helpful.

Called in for some coffee before we headed off home. Lovely homely atmosphere and home made food. Just had scones shortbread and Apple tart but it was all delicious. Saw other people having lunch and looked good too. Lovely friendly girls serving.

These tea rooms are located in the historic courtyard at Castle Archdale Country Park. We have always been able to get a table in this bright, busy and welcoming cafe. The menu is excellent with choices to suit everything from morning coffee, afternoon tea or a fulsome lunch. The food is fresh and tasty. We would recommend the "specials" if you are having lunch. The staff are very friendly and efficient. Well worth a visit if you are in the area or visiting the Country Park.

The rooms had a good selection of food, the price was so so, however you do tend to pay extra when eating out in areas with less choice. No complaints about the food though, it was nice, but basic. There's also the surrounding area to explore, so visiting here will take a few hours at least - or more in the summer.

Food was excellent. Service was top notch. It felt like we were in a library at times that we had to whisper. Atmosphere was not great.
