I must say, I’ve come to the cast iron grill a few times previously, usually the food is ok. Not sure if there’s been a change in chef or even just management. Dined tonight for New Year’s Eve and there was just a drastic difference WOW. AMAZING food, absolutely exceptional. Perfect service too. Christmas decorations looked fab. You can see how much effort went into it. Whatever you’re doing keep doing it please!!!

Cast Iron Grill The Grill was Good, everything came out fresh and hot that the chef prepared. The starter Items were my favorite. The fried calamari, and the scallops were delicious. Only thing I did not like was the Ribeye steak, that didn’t have any flavor at all. I was shocked for the price that I expected a tender, flavorful, juicy steak, but this was none of those. It was hot, but had not salt, pepper, herbs, or nothing. It was basically plan tough beef, The fish and chips were delicious, also with a side of mushrooms I order pair great together. Drinks are good and so was the brownie with ice cream for my dessert. Warning : DO NOT GET THE STEAK.

Service in the restaurant was very good no complaints, the wine is considerably over priced and the steak was the worst I have eaten in years, £36 for a 300g steak which was the quality of something you would expect in a low end pub made up of more fat than meat and equivalent of chewing a piece of chewing gum (furthermore it was not fresh, it seemed a defrosted steak and then cooked yielding a complete lack of flavour). Steakt back once, received another which was even worse quality than the first. Other food was fairly reasonable but overall considerably overpriced for the quality and I expected far better in a 4* hotel like this. Seems like the chef/s need replacing as they are allowing such poor quality meat to be served. We chose to eat elsewhere for our 2nd night.

Excellent guest focussed service. 10/10 for Yetmir and team for a lovely dinner experience and catering for dietary requirements with chef ahead of our stay. All 7 of us enjoyed our meals. Thank you

The market soup is ok. Waiting 30 mins for our main course. The salmon steak is even worsen than homemade. The ribeye steak is not fresh and tasted very bad. The only bad experience in this hotel is this restaurant.

The fish and chips and the burgers and side order of sweet potato fries seemed to come up okay, although it all took a long time arriving. The poached salmon salad with roasted heritage carrots and honey and lemon dressing was exceptionally poor however. For £15.50 you get a couple of handfuls of rocket with 1/2 a fillet of poached salmon springled with an incredibly oily dressing that lacked any flavour but oil. The most suprising thing is although the carrots are roasted and the salmon poached it is all freezing cold! Yes it is a salad but one expects from the description that it will be somewhat warm... cold roasted vegetables do not make a nice dish. This dish needs rethinking completely. Very expensive mark up on ingredients that would cost less than a fiver and were not put together to be appetising.

The staff in here are all absolutely amazing. Always incredibly friendly and personable. This has become my regular coffee stop and it's always a pleasure coming in. It can sometimes get quite busy but the staff are always exceptional.

Lovely quaint, restaurant, which is now my new local as I’ve just moved to the area. The customer service I’ve experienced is lovely. Server (I hope that’s the correct way to say) Maya is always welcoming, polite and friendly. Sometimes human kindness is not always present in the world, so thank you. Sel (the lady who always orders Doughballs after work) 😎 I take it back as of 18.02.25 call led from just before 9:30pm no answer had to come duu on en the establishment . Explained o had been calling for collection and just wished for a small pizza. One staff member had no answer to provide was quite basic. I had to ask for the manager x3. While the manager was nice, and shared the night had been busy the fact is there’s staff in the restaurant other than him so why could they not answer the phone. So now searching for something to at n an area il new to and dies not have a lot of restaurants!!!!!

Made a reservation for this Prezzo, when we arrived we was greated rudely by a man who is apparently the manager. He told us we cannot have a table as he was too busy despite having a booking. We booked online through Prezzos website like we always do and we even showed the man the email with the booking confirmation, but this did not matter. There were tables free, we have been coming to this restaurant for years, and with this new manager we was told so rudely that we cannot have a seat and he was even having a go at us for booking only a couple of hours ago with our 4 year old son present. It was awful.
