A Truly Disappointing Experience – Avoid Caspian at All Costs After reading countless glowing reviews about Caspian (218 Union Rd, Oswaldtwistle, Accrington BB5 3JB), we decided to give it a try. Everyone seemed to be raving about the food, so we placed an order with high hopes. Unfortunately, what we received was nothing short of appalling. We ordered a 12" Meat Feast Pizza for myself and a Donner Kebab for my wife, expecting a satisfying, tasty meal. What we got was the complete opposite – a greasy, unappetizing mess that left us feeling utterly disappointed and, quite frankly, ripped off. The wife is eating the kebab but after trying 1 slice I already knew from the very first mouthful that this pizza is completely inadequate! The Pizza – A Sloppy Disaster The cheese on the pizza was an absolute abomination. It had the texture of something that had been squeezed out of a tube, slimy and artificial, coating everything in an unpleasant, gooey layer. It didn't taste like real cheese at all – more like some cheap, processed substitute that left a strange aftertaste in the mouth. Then came the base, which was most certainly NOT thin and crispy as we were assured by the man on the phone. Instead, it was a doughy, undercooked mess, lacking any sort of crunch or structure. The whole thing was soggy, as if it had been sitting in a steamer rather than an oven. Every bite felt like I was chewing through wet cardboard, with absolutely no texture or bite. As for the toppings, they were as uninspiring as the rest of the pizza. The meat lacked seasoning and quality, tasting cheap and fatty rather than rich and flavourful. The entire experience of eating this pizza was deeply unpleasant, and I couldn't even finish it. The Donner Kebab – Cold, Greasy. My wife’s Donner Kebab was just as bad, if not worse. The meat was cold and rubbery, despite the fact that we live just five minutes away and drove straight home. There was no reason for it to be cold except for sheer negligence on their part. On top of that, the meat was excessively greasy, swimming in oil that had soaked through the thin nann bread, turning it into a soggy, oily mess. The few vegetables included were limp and lifeless, adding nothing to the meal. There was no balance, no care in preparation – just a thrown-together heap of low-quality ingredients. Customer Service – Misleading and Unhelpful We called to ask about the pizza before ordering, specifically requesting a thin and crispy base. The man on the phone confidently reassured us that this was exactly what we’d be getting. Either he had no clue what he was talking about, or he just blatantly lied to get the sale. The presentation of the food was also dreadful. Everything looked thrown together carelessly, with no effort to make it even remotely appealing. Even the packaging was greasy, which should have been our first warning sign. Final Verdict – Never Again I can confidently say that we will never be returning to Caspian. This was one of the worst takeaway experiences we've had in a long time. The food was low quality, poorly made, greasy, and cold – a total waste of money. To anyone considering ordering from here: DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. There are plenty of other places in the area that actually care about their food and customers. If you value quality food and a good takeaway experience, avoid Caspian like the plague. I don’t enjoy leaving negative reviews, but I feel obliged to warn my fellow humans about the terrible quality of food being served here. Hopefully, this review will save someone else from making the same mistake we did.

Got Pizza from there tonight, hot and spicy - 12", got to say, by far the worst Pizza ive ever had, just swimming in grease / oil, never again.

This is what a kebab should taste like full of flavour and variety with good size portions too. I travel from South Manchester to get one and also the yummy pizzas. The staff are always so upbeat with laughter even though they are absolutely busy Check it out would definitely recommend.

Recently nipped into my favourite takeaway for a tasty kebab. Have been going here ever since it opened in the 80's quality taste and service has never changed good friendly atmosphere would recommend

Amazing food and has been every time I have been for the last 25 years. I have had the burgers, the pizzas, the kebabs, garlic breads, etc and the food is perfect every time. The staff are always polite and courteous and a good laugh whilst you wait for your good.

Ordered a large pizza, called and picked it up, it had zero taste , worst pizza ive ever tasted very bland no flavour at all.

Ordered a kebab absolutely rubbish never again just bloody rubbish can't believe that people will pay for crap like this

The place cannot really be compared to other takeaways. The best kebabs around, shredded cabbage and salad. The chili sauce is served warm and everything is handmade. Sal is a pleasure to order with nothing is too much trouble and she always gets the order right.

My daughter and her friend placed an order over the phone, the woman spoke quite rudely and aggressively to my daughter to begin with. They then ordered some chips which were under cooked. My daughter vic was sick three times two hours after she had ate them. Not impressed and will not be returning. No photo is added as they had eaten it before binning.

Ordered a mixed kebab. The lamb and chicken, in particular, were so delicious. Never fails to satisfy in a big way.

The large mixed kebab from here is something to behold! It feels like something off man vs food! The staff are great, always friendly and they always deliver your food on time which is rare for a takeaway these days.

Stopped here after a long journey to grab a takeaway for the hotel. Pizzas were full and tasted flipping amazing (daughters words not mine) especially meaty one, son had cheesy chips which he said were best ever as cheese went all the way through and kebab looked nice and full. Went on a Friday night and both women were freindly and chatty and made a set of tired southerns very welcome. No card machine but cashpoint close by. Good value

This is my favourite kebab / pizza outlet. All ingredients are fresh and delicious. The place is extremely clean and food quality is guaranteed. The staff are consistently friendly and hard working.

Pizzas are amazing. Kebabs nice depending on time you order. Staff always friendly though sometimes one certain staff member makes you feel like you are interrupting them so needs better phone manners. Love Caspian food

Went for a Pizza on Saturday it was very nice i also like takeaways where you can see them making it you know it's clean and done right i trust them more.. 2 pizza's and some chips for less than £10 can't go wrong

Fresh made pizza bases and fresh ingredients. Great selection of pizzas, kebabs and grilled burgers. Staff are great also.

I have been using Caspian for years. It is great to just drop in and collect well priced Pizza, Kebabs and Hamburgers etc. Always looks clean and good friendly staff.I recommend it

Caspian has been consistent over the years I have been a customer. It is a typical pizza takeaway with the same menu as most. It is clean and good value for money.

Truly a very good pizza and kebab shop. Everything is cooked fresh and is always tasty. You can pick any variation of pizza and the satisfy are happy to oblige

if you go at teatime evrything is cooked to perfection and tasty, if you go late at night no care is taken, raw chicken on kebab so had to throw away. Pizzas though are best in ossy

Consistently good takeaway food! Decent menu, also will deliver locally. Been visiting this shop for years and don't ever feel the need to go elsewhere.

This has been in Oswaldtwistle for years and has always had a good reputation. Great pizza and kebabs. Great staff too. very friendly. Inexpensive

Been going here since it opened and it's still as good. Friendly staff who are always happy to chat (if they've time of course). My only niggle is they don't deliver to Huncoat :). ..but it is abit out the way..haha.

What can I say this take out has been around ever since I remember and has been used by my family for longer than I can even remember. The chicken kebabs are tasty and just the right size. The pizzas are all made fresh to order and again are ful of taste
