Caspian Flame Grill in Calderdale

Caspian have moved out months ago! Kayas now run a grill and restaurant here! Please update your reviews.

I couldn't fault anything, service and hospitality was 10/10. The food was cooked to perfection and full of flavour. The portions are generous and the fresh bread they serve is the nicest bread I've ever had in my life.

Had a lovely meal with my husband and two friends. The meal was delicious, the service simply outstanding, extremely well priced and the restaurant had a truly ambient Mediterranean feel. The only downside is the lack of parking however there is free parking (on a weekend) on Stafford avenue which is the road to the left of the restaurant just a short walk away. I would highly recommend this restaurant for couples, family & friends.

we had been wanting to come here for a while and eventually managed yesterday, Tuesday, so glad we did. We did book and as we arrived we were immediately welcomed by a lovely woman, sorry I didn't ask her name, we were asked if we wanted to sit outside or in, we chose outside, it was a glorious day. We could sit where we wanted as only 2 other diners then. Plenty outside seating, booths and some tables and chairs then some under a tent affair, not described well, really lovely space. Great menu, plenty of choice, we settled for a mixed meze starter to share, plenty, we could have made a meal of it, the bread, oh so delicious. I had sea bass, grandaughter salmon and daughter a burger. Oh so much, where to start, it was all cooked to perfection, very generous portion sizes, chips, rice and salad with my seabass. We were asked during the meal if it was all ok, even the owner came out to say hello and enquire if all was well with us. It was, he used to own Olivetta in town, Princess Street but this is a much nicer place. We will definitely come again and would reccomend it to anyone.

We were visiting Halifax to see the Piece Hall and other sights. We walked from the town centre, about 2km, taxi back. Lovely restaurant, not very busy on a Monday but not long post-lockdown. Delicious food, good and friendly attentive staff, very reasonable prices. Some dishes seemed to be rather oversized which means people waste food as some don't eat it all. Obviously intending to have more outdoor activity as building work taking place. A wee gem of a place.

We can to Caspian as it’s just a few doors down from where we live and we’ve seen the work been done to the outdoor area over the past year. There is plenty of space in the outdoor area with a fire pit to keep warm, which is handy since we have to dine outside due to covid. The cocktails and food was gorgeous!! We ordered the chicken fajita, garlic prawns, garlic mushrooms and the meat mausaka and there wasn’t one complaint! It was all tasty food. The staff are very polite and friendly. The owner was the happiest, loveliest man ever, I wish him all the luck with his restaurant!! I’ve seen a few bad reviews because of ‘fly tipping’ however these people have never eaten at the restaurant and never met the owner, these bad reviews are very unfair and I wouldn’t take note of them. These people leaving these reviews should be ashamed of themselves trying to ruin someone’s business and livelihood - acting like they’ve never made a mistake before. If you want excellent food with a fab atmosphere then visit Caspian!

Fantastic meal at Caspian! Cocktails were coming thick and fast and Turkish/Greek food was lovely! I will be back soon!

Caught on film fly tipping fridges and freezers on one of our country lanes local to myself ..... disgusting blatant disregard for our beautiful surroundings. I would not give them one penny of my hard earned money after seeing the footage. These people have no respect what soever

Fly Tippers. Absolute disgrace, won’t order from these ever. Think it’s ok to dump there used fridges and freezers but have been found out. Will be contacting the press to highlight what they have done.

While gutting restaurant they decided to flytip old appliances rather that disposing of it properly. Would you eat in a place run by people who do that? Neither would I.

Fly tippers of old freezers so please do not give them any business. Hopefully they will post an apology and go clear up their mess.

Felt terrible after eating a takeout from here, thought the food may have been suspect. Turns out the freezers and a fridge they had stored the food in were defective hence giving people food poisoning. They were then so stupid as to fly tip the broken white goods from their own logo emblazoned van... this place needs closing down and the filthy scumbags prosecuted.

Got caught fly tipping fridges. Disgusting. Dirty people probably provide dirty food. No way I'd risk it.

This establishment decided it was a great idea to dump there old fridges and freezers on Old Lane. Photo evidence is on Facebook Halifax crime watch site. So ask yourself this do they care? Do they care about hygiene if willing to destroy the local...

Visited on Sunday tea time, there was a blck bin bag and lots of rubbish at the door!! no other customers, therefore no atmosphere, had early bird, food was average, chicken shawarma was not fresh from the grill, and should have come with spicy tomato...

We didn’t know this restaurant existed until we spotted it on Groupon. Fabulous food. Lovely staff. Will definitely come back with or without a Groupon. Highly recommend.

Visited to celebrate a family birthday. Warm welcome from the friendly waitress. Starters of baked aubergine dip, feta cheese on filo pastry and onion /yoghurt dip. Mains were lamb chops on skewer, lamb, chicken,lamb mince kebab all the food was delicious. Wine was excellent value....

I heartily recommend a visit to the Caspian Flame Grill. Tasty food in nice surroundings, attentive staff and very reasonable prices. They even make something as basic as rice delicious.

Myself and my husband visited the place for a first time on Friday night.When we've entered the door, we were very surprised as we couldn't smell any food at all which is very unusual for a food place, especially GRILL! The restaurant was extreamely quiet....
