Cask & Clyde in Glasgow City

Everyone starts serving lunch at noon. I had just a Cesar salad with chicken. Incredibly generous servings. Varied menu.

Fantastic wee afternoon having afternoon tea & prosecco. Too much eating for 2 people so got a doggy back for home. 3 different types of sandwich, scone, strawberry tarts, 2 different meringue & choux pastry. Joanna serving and other staff were all excellent. Would recommend 😎

Third time being here, it is a lovely day out. Lucky to have been greeted by Jack twice what a lovely young man very helpful & knowledgeable about the service at hotel. Gail the manager was also very nice & took the time out to talk to us.

Tuvimos EL MEJOR tiempo en el Hilton nuestra hermosa camarera Aurora era tan encantadora y tuvimos un rito buena risa! 😂 las bebidas eran EXCEPCIONALES la comida era alucinante el servicio era tan rápido y eficiente Definitivamente voy a volver aquí de nuevo NO PUEDO EXPRESAR LO SUFICIENTE ESTE ES EL LUGAR PARA ESTAR

Based in a hotel but that was fine, the food was fabulous!

On Thursday at 12 noon, I had afternoon tea with my friend. It was a nice time of day for us to visit because we hadn't seen each other for a while so had much to catch up with. We received everything we asked for. We asked for a round of ham and mustard sandwiches instead of a mixture. I asked for hot chocolate instead of tea or coffee. I also asked for diet coke instead of a glass of prosecco. The sandwiches and cakes were lovely. Nicely presented. Nice ambience in the restaurant. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I've also stayed in several Hilton hotels and they never disappoint. They always give fantastic service. I will visit again.

We we’re residents at the Double Tree Hilton in Glasgow which the restaurant is connected to and the reviews convinced us to eat there on our last night. The food was really poor. The pizza was more like a rectangular focaccia and the chicken burger was immense and poorly executed. Some people might like enormous servings of bread-based food but we made a mistake ordering this mainly because the steaks were £30 each….would recommend leaving the hotel and eating almost anywhere else in terms of food. The staff did their best though…

This restaurant has all the hallmarks of a gourmet restaurant. The waiters are friendly and the food tasty. You feel good here, everything is simple and subtle at the same time. A must.

We were a party of eight, grabbing lunch before going to the theatre. We were able to book from the menu in advance to save time. Everything was ready for us, served with kindness and good humour. A simple, special request dessert was even provided for the 6-year-old member of our party. We got to the theatre relaxed, and in plenty of time.

Visited the bar and restaurant with my wife and family. Fabulous cocktails and what can I say about the food and service -- wow many thanks to Gayle for her warm service and the kitchen for serving up a wonderful meal.

Went for afternoon tea while Christmas shopping. Second time visiting and great experience. Great service from Paul and the full tea. Good selection and great service. Looking forward to coming again. Great location and easy parking

I went to the Cask & Clyde for dinner. I ordered a burger but forgot to mention that I don’t eat bacon. The team handled it quickly and professionally, with incredible friendliness and customer focus. They have made me another fresh mouth watering one, and I absolutely loved it. I have to say that the team (Estelle, Aurora, and Evie) went above and beyond to make everyone feel at home. Everyone made me feel so welcomed and comfortable, I’ll definitely be coming back! And will definitely refer it to my friends. :)

Sherry and Gayle were great! Food was served quickly and tasted fantastic.

Overall enjoyable and relaxing experience with good food and football on tv. Parsnip and Mango soup was a pleasant change followed by the chicken tacos. Both really nice. The service was friendly and attentive which is nice when staying away from home on business. Gayle and Sherry were particularly friendly and accommodating.

Fantastic food and all served with a smile and a fanatic sense of humour from Gayle. The Tunnocks Teacake sundae and sticky toffee pudding were amazing, and the haggis Bon Bon’s to start were delicious too.

Good vibes, great drinks, all the staff were friendly and our bartender Sol was super chatty and made delicious cocktails, we’ll definitely be back!

The food was wonderful! I had the Pan Seared Cod special. It was served with lobster bisque sauce that may be the best thing I've ever eaten! My wife had Yer Grannies Roast Chicken. It was amazing as well. Definitely recommend! Our server was Aurora. She we awesome! Not only did she help with recommendations but also gave us advice on sites to see in Glasgow.

Nuestra camarera (Gayle) era muy atento y acogedor. Absolutamente ningún negativo para el bar / personal de servicio. Pedí el bistec costillar ojo, que normalmente nunca haría aparte de un restaurante de bistec "apropiado". Desafortunadamente el corte de carne fue terrible. Unas piezas sabrosas. Pero, al pagar un buen precio por un corte, debe ser completamente comestible. La salsa de pimienta en grano tenía la consistencia del agua y la sal y papas fritas de romero podrían haber sido de Mac Donald. Estoy seguro que las otras opciones de meunu serían encantadoras, pero no las probaré ahora. Bueno para una copa. Personal encantador. No pidas el filete.

Booked here for afternoon tea Options were shockingly poor dirty cups and plates and everything seemed stale. Waitress poured out a tea into a cup that already had a packet of sugar in it and the she picked it out and said is that ok……….shocking Had asked when booking do you have vegetarian options and was told yes the only thing that was available was the avocado slice Rubbish

Went for afternoon tea with my neice, wowcher deal £20 for 2 people including glass of prosecco each. Great selection and was really tasty. Staff were also really nice.

Visit was a very enjoyable buffet afternoon tea. Nice variety of savoury and sweet treats. Lovely setting and staff so helpful After our delicious tea we popped into the bar area and enjoyed a couple of fabulous cocktails. Very nicely presented by Gayle who was super friendly and helpful. Such a nice, relaxed atmosphere in the bar area with super comfy sofas to chill out. Will definitely visit again.

This is not anywhere close to 4.5 stay away! Beer terrible, food worse! Very frustrating to see this getting good reviews on trip advisor. Especially if you go out of your way to visit.

What a place! Came via a "Wowcher" voucher for Sunday Afternoon Tea. Really amazing food, selection, quality and quantity in a very pleasant and relaxed atmosphere served by very professional and friendly waiters and waitresses. Would highly recommend and certainly plan to return. Thanks for a great afternoon.

Our waitress was wonderful. The food was awful. The Aberdeen Angus Burger was so salty it was inedible. The fries were served in a hot bowl, but they were not hot.

Honestly, this is the part that you are looking for if you enter Cask and Clyde. Since our stomachs were complaining, we were looking for the right hint. Sherry and Victoria gave us the right direction on the menu. The angus burger was fantastic. Furthermore, the service from Sherry and Victoria was precise in all ways as you expected. Staying at the hotel, had a convenient dinner here with my daughter. The whole staff was lovely, and Gayle was an absolute saint. They treated my spirited 8-year-old like an honoured dignitary, and made our evening magical, right down to the incredible teacake sundae.

We ate here on August 11, 2024: Food & Drink: - Pepsi -Lemonade - Wine (Pinot Grigio) - Innis & Gunn Rum Cask - Brisket -Angus beef burgers -Curry -Caesar salad - Soup of the day (tomato soup) Positive: The food was really delicious and the portion size was very sufficient. The brisket and tomato soup were incredibly good. The drinks were served quickly and the food didn't take long to arrive either. The service was initially very attentive and the lady who served us at the beginning was very competent when it came to the menu and answering our questions. Negative: We reserved a table online early. This reservation could also be found in the system, but an employee must have led other customers to this table and recorded the reservation as “confirmed”, even though we were not in the restaurant at the time. We showed up just in time for our reservation. However, since everything was now full and our table was also occupied, we were accommodated in the bar area. There are a lot of nice seating options there and also the opportunity to enjoy the same menu that is offered in the restaurant. However, you felt a bit out of the way; the volume was significantly louder (in the bar area) and the clientele was different, as there were many families with children there who just drank something (and didn't eat anything, as would have been the case in the restaurant). The children listened to music loudly or watched series on their cell phones or tablets. Over the course of the evening we were served by various employees, although the service decreased somewhat (possible shift change?).

Had an afternoon tea here with my wife for our wedding anniversary . Server took our teapot away to refill, 10/15 mins later still no sign. I ended up walking to the bar and asking a different person could we have a pot of tea please . The teapots were only big enough for us to have 3/4 of a cup each so not much use . Upon leaving after finishing our food nobody spoke to us or even said goodbye. Nobody even visited us during our stay to ask if everything was OK. Staff wasn't busy, in fact person who was meant to refill our pot was too engrossed with his own chat with a colleague behind the end if the bar. Food was great apart from the scone being as small as a Brussels sprout!! Overall we were very disappointed and wouldn't recommend as I'm sure there are far more places who will treat their customers better .

We were late getting to our tour group's first dinner together and Sunny Joe welcomed us in the bar, took our orders, and escorted us to our table. He personally delivered our first course to us and our second course came out at the same time as our group's. He relieved our stress of being late and let our Scottish journey begin with a smile 😃

Overcooked steak, super salty fries, tasteless mac and cheese. The Rum Cask Beer is the nicest thing of the dinner. Service was good though. I guess the head chef is off on Monday?

We had some small bites and some wine. Caitlin and Kieran made our experience wonderful. They created a delightful atmosphere and made us feel at home.

Buffet style afternoon tea with Prosecco, food was nice enough and was restocked quickly when required, tea & coffee were available as required and the bottle of Prosecco was pretty nice stuff, but, something was lacking, it's not the same as getting an afternoon tea served together on the "proper" cake plates etc..

I rarely have a great meal at a hotel, but our dinner at Cask & Clyde was delicious, and easily accommodated our picky eaters and those with specialized diets with equally well presented and tasty options. Our wait staff, Evie and Miles, were helpful, quick, and kind. A pleasure to dine here.

I visit this location fairly regularly for work purposes. The Executive Lounge is always welcoming. After a recent change of staff, I was impressed with the friendly nature of Almarc. He really did a lot to make me feel comfortable in the evening whilst catching up on some work in the lounge. Thank you. I have recommended this hotel to colleagues and I will be back myself.
