Great home cooked authentic food, with unbeatable customer service! Would recommend and return for more tasty tacos!

Finally tried Casazul and brought my friend with me from Mexico, too. We both loved it. Quaint little please with lots of personality and great service. Good choices for vegan tastes. One important mention is that my stomach didn't hurt after eating here - that's a huge accolade for this type of cuisine. Looking forward to another visit soon.

What a lovely little place to eat. A simple menu of 5 different meat tacos (and Vegan options if you so desire) at reasonable prices. I opted for mild and my wife went hot 🔥 on Sauces. Gabriel the owner was an absolute gentleman and invested time to chat and offer us tastings of his various Sauces including one he's working on which we look forward to trying again. I ordered espresso but they didn't have a machine to make it so was offered Brazilian coffee which is infused with cinnamon and also served black, it was absolutely fantastic and I'll be seeking to attempt making this at home. A bottle of water is supplied with glasses as standard and free with your meal, with the hot sauce, you may need this 😋 Our purpose was to visit the market which was unfortunately rather quiet on that day but the food certainly made the trip worthwhile. Parking is close by and at £2 for 2 hours is a bargain. This is a perfect lunch and the quantity is just right in a perfect environment. 10/10

One of my favourite places in Brighton for many reasons. The best place for real authentic tacos, they always taste amazing and comforting. Lots of Mexican products to try and buy, they make their own at home kits too. Gabriel is one of the loveliest guys in the city, true Mexican hospitality, always a pleasure to go in there and have a chat with him. Only thing I wish is they could be open after 5pm so I could get my evening Mexican fix! Overall fantastic place!

Small and cozy place. You have a choice of about 4/5 meat and 4/5 vegan tacos. Highly recommend the horchata drink.

Taco tuesday just got even better! Casazul is serving up amazing authentic taco in Brighton and I would definitely be recommending all locals and tourists to go visit if you have the chance! Super cute Mexican place. My friend and Iove coming for lunch on Taco Tuesday where you get 4 tacos for the price of 3 so we can share nicely. There are also great drinks and paletas to choose from.

We came across Casazul recently: only found out about it a couple of weeks ago. Tried one of the heat-at-home taco kits, which was a perfect, quick, midweek dinner. So glad to have found the place & will be back. Regularly.

As a vegan Mexican I’d say this is one of the best tacos I’ve had in my life. I’ve tried many tacos around the world but this ones are definitely on my top 3. Loved the vegan cochinita pibil and the vegan horchata. Now I live in Nz but when I go back to Brighton this is the first place I’m visiting.

We stopped in past this little restaurant for lunch while visiting Brighton for a long weekend in June. My fiance really loves authentic Mexican food, but we don't seem to find it so often. However, this place was wonderful! The restaurant itself is modest while the food is outstanding. We left with as many salsas as we could carry in our cases home! All freshly made at the premises. The passion for the food really shone through and they cater for Gluten Free, Vegetarian and Vegan. I would fully recommend visiting here to anyone who really enjoys authentic Mexican food. It's charming, and the owner, Gabriel, is very kind, passionate and knowledgable about the food. They also have fantastic values for sustainability (which is always a big plus for me).

Update: returned and thought I should update my review because this place is still just brilliant, most authentic in Brighton and reminded us of our trip to Yucatan. You really must stop here for lunch if you're visiting. Original: Food was delicious and a good value, staff were really friendly and we're happy to talk about the food on the menu. If you’re looking for the most authentic Mexican tacos in Brighton then look no further - Casazul is the real deal. They run a fairly small menu but I’ve tried everything on there and can confirm it’s all absolutely delicious. Great that they do meat and vegan options too. Gabriel is the guy who runs this place, and he’s so welcoming and passionate about his food. All in all one of my favourite food spots in Brighton.

What great tasting tacos. Wow!!!! But the real surprise came a little later. We bought some frozen Tamales so a day later, not much patience here, we tucked into Tamales. They were wonderful.

We went to casa azul last Friday, great for both vegans and meat eaters, Gabriel was so helpful talking us through the spice level and giving advice, and just really lovely to chat to. Amazing food and very lovely dining experience, would highly recommend!

Really enjoyed our meal at casa Azul. Definitely recommend the mole. But there's one thing you should order if you come here. Actually you should come here just to order it. It's their flan the queso. Mind-blowing. Service was great and the owner just lovely. They offer vegan options as well but I hope they'll start giving more options for the tacos. It is an informal little restaurant in Broghton's open market serving the best tacos in Brighton. Gabriel and his staff are incredibly friendly and the food is wonderful. Great for both meat, veggie and vegans with the best taco actually being the cauliflower one (who knew). Definitely worth the walk from the town centre!

Genuine Mexican street food. Could do with a bit more of a tomato based salsa and a bit of lettuce but no problem with quality and flavour.

Found this amazing little authentic Mexican place in the Open Market. Had the vegan cochinita with my son and we both loved it. Loved the pulled style oyster mushrooms and they put the red onions and the salsa on the side because of it being too spicy for my son. Lovely food and great service. Forgot to take a picture of our food haha.

Lovely place inside Brighton open market. The tacos were terrific. The flavour of the masa was brilliant! They also sell dried chilies (guajillo, adobo, ancho etc), condiments, and excellent blue corn soft taco shells for you to make your own stuff. The owners are engaging and the service is terrific!

Casazuls has a small but perfect menu of tacos with amazing flavours. This was the first time taking my partner to the restaurant. An experience that can be difficult for choice with her being vegan. Casazul did not dispoint her with choice or taste. She loved it. The food is not only great but backed with passionate service and a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. It's no surprise that it was busy even for a weekday.

A place for people with really low standards. Their tacos were made so badly with the cheapest lavash from Poundland, so by the time you finish eating the first one, the other two would get soggy and fall on pieces, and charge £9 for that is an abomination. But it's not all, they don't have an order line so if you are lucky you get your order quickly, otherwise, you gonna wait forever, like me. “Funny” fact on the checkout I found out that I ate different tacos from what I ordered, as I asked about a missing ingredient. So sad to see so many good comments here, regardless of the staff trying to be nice their food is RUBBISH.

What a gem! I had the vegetarian mole tacos and they were absolutely fabulous. The spicy salsa is very hot, so use with care. The owner was kind and happy to explain the dishes in detail. This is easily the best Mexican food I’ve had in Europe - it’s worth going out of your way for.

Stopped in for a quick lunch and we were not disappointed! Owner is super friendly, food is well priced and sooo tasty. It's also dog friendly so your four legged friend doesn't gave to miss out. We will be back but with friends next time!

I first came here on a food tour - It was the first stop we went to and I couldn't stop thinking about it the whole rest of the tour. We were greeted by the owner, and his incredible knowledge of the origins of the food he was presenting painted an beautiful picture. I could really tell that he cared about ever detail of his menu. I returned since, and I plan to return again. My personal favourite was the vegan mule tacos, and the sauces that come with every taco are such a wonderful flavour experience. The drinks made and served here are excellent. I made sure to bring home a bottle of horchata after I'd finished. Excellent portion sizes, and really friendly staff. Definitely leapt to the top of my list of places to eat out in Brighton
