The food was awful. I’m not sure how it has received 5 star reviews. It was possibly because we arrived early, but I would a decent quality of food even at 6 o’clock.

Great food and friendly service. Had a couple of items from the special menu which were amazing. Would go again!

Great tasting food and reasonable prices

I don’t normally put bad reviews but this place was very disappointing. From the start of walking in, the place and atmosphere was dead there was two people sat in on a Saturday night, we wondered why it was so dead !! We nearly walked out but gave the place a chance. All the food was freezer food and was out within 5 mins. The meatballs were really poor when u cut in to them you can see they are 100% freezer food warmed up why would any chef serve this kind of food ?! There was just no effort, no herbs no flavour to the food. Rubbish. Definitely will not return.

Really nice meal and not too expensive. Likes the goats cheese with honey the best.

The food was excellent, freshly prepared, served hot, quality produce, extremely tasty. It was a totally relaxed environment with very friendly staff, excellent value for money, I will be recommending this restaurant to family and friends

I am from Spain and been in UK for about 10 years, I have been to many tapas bar in the UK some good some very good and some not so good, I have just moved in this area and found casa tapas when i was passing and saw the alhambra sign so being a lover of Spanish beer I thought I will give it a try, was not disappointed with anything, I was a bit cautious if the quality would be good, the place was quite with just two other tables, so we ordered just a few tapas and were not disappointed at all and decided to try the paella and I asked them how long it would take and was told about 40-50 min which told me that it would be cooked when I ordered it , I enjoyed the chicken paella it was as good as the the ones I have eaten in Spain. Will be going back soon with some friends who have never been

We came for my mums birthday and it just turned out to be a disappointment. Walking in the atmosphere was quite dull, it was very dark and there was only one other table of two in the whole place on a Thursday evening, we were sat on the opposite side of the restaurant to them. Me and my mum ordered the seafood paella to share and my sister and family friend got some tapas. We were told over the phone prior that there would be a wait for the paella which was absolutely fine because we were told they cooked it from “fresh”. Whilst waiting me and my mum got some calamari and potato and ham croquettes which i can’t fault, especially the croquettes they were lovely. Although for nearly 10 pounds per portion they were not worth it. My sister had a lamb dish which she enjoyed, and chicken kebab that was quite dry. Our friend has patatas alioli, she said the potato was okay but the chicken portion was minuscule and was not worth nearly 8 pounds for a quarter of a chicken breast. Although some dishes were nice, they were all too small to justify the price. Our paella came and the wait just wasn’t worth it, it was presented nicely; but after a closer look it was just completely off colour and the prawns were extremely dehydrated, dry and shrivelled. It couldn’t have been father from fresh, there was an underlying odd taste in the dish that i hadn’t initially noticed but my mum clocked it immediately. My mum loves seafood and has grown up eating paella so noticed almost instantaneously. We told told the waitress about the issue and then the manager came over. My mum said that there was something not right about the dish, he got defensive and said “i have been making this dish the exact same way for 20 years and there has never been an issue with it before” and he mentioned a restaurant they had in manchester? My mum in no way was being rude and said it was okay and to just leave it. He then proceeded to to come back two more times after this showing us the recipe ect. defending himself heavily. He offered to exchange the food eventually for some tapas dishes. We had a look at the menu but by this point we were just completely put off eating and quite uncomfortable with the atmosphere after we had voiced our issue. We asked for the bill and the manager did take the paella off our bill. We’re now home and whilst writing this i have had to stop and take breaks several times because i have been throwing up. I would not recommend this restaurant, the quality isn’t consistent and the prices are completely unreasonable. We were really looking forward to going and having some traditional spanish food. Really ruined my mums birthday and we came away really disheartened and disappointed. Me and my mum and now unwell and are planning a do-over birthday.

Stunning food!! Service perfect! Beautiful atmosphere. Absolutely lovely evening. We were looked after, not rushed, and the dishes were so flavoursome. Cannot recommend enough!!!

Really enjoyed the food here and the Alhambra beer on tap is a really good touch. I will definitely return. I recommend this place.

Another very enjoyable evening at Casa Tapas, one of the few restaurants I know where the very knowledgeable and helpful staff will go the extra mile to ensure our order is completely gluten free with hardly any restrictions on choice. Great food, great service and excellent value for money.

Friendly, attentive and competent waitress. Fast service. The place was a little bit too dark for our taste. The food: it was clean, OK portions. We suggest a few tweaks for some of the dishes, it’s based on our experience of various tapas restaurants in UK and Spain: Meat & cheese platter could have more variety of ingredients, like adding olives. Patatas Bravas could have a touch more sweet & tang/acidity contrast, and perhaps some herbs. Calamari- more use of lemon and some herbs. Octopus - make it lighter, less oil and less paprika. Lentil & chorizo stew - a little less oil/fats and lighter on the paprika. Overall, the food is a bit heavy. If it was a bit lighter, we could have eaten more. :-) Thank you for hosting us & good luck with your business!

Over priced, low quality food. Tiny portions. The manager is very rude and can’t understand his empty restaurant is failing. I mentioned we was not happy as we were leaving hungry and he threatened me saying he had my number. And for a young group of woman this is totally unacceptable. I will never visit again .. I wouldn’t recommend the place to my dog. AVOID!!

Very overpriced for the quality and quantity of food, I am aware of the portion sizes when it comes to tapas but paying almost £10 for dishes and £7 for others I wouldn’t expect to leave hungry after paying £85 for 4 people with very little on our plates. We decided to complain and the waitress was very polite and passed it on to her manager who then came over to speak to us. He was adamant his food was of quality and reasonably priced as he had been running his business for over 20 plus years… when we disagreed he got aggressive and asked me and my friends to never come back to his restaurant. We got 1 plate discounted from our bill for the inconvenience but was spoken to very rudely. The waitresses was very friendly and polite throughout our stay but management and ownership was very disappointing

Dark and dingey place with No atmosphere. I know tapas is ment to be small portions, but these are tiny. I left feeling hungry and robbed. I had to order extra bread with my meal to fill me up. The manager did not want to listen, an was very aggressive.

We sat down and left after 5 minutes. The place was empty on a Saturday night and the smell of chlorine moved us to tears. Extremely depressing environment.

Not awful, but not great either. Food was a bit bland to be honest, this is the first place we have been for tapas and felt underwhelmed afterwards. We also found that If there are any regulars in, they will get preferential treatment. We arrived as it opened, sat at our table, then a regular came in chatting away with the staff and then they tended to them first by taking their order and food first. Wasn't a massive delay to be honest but its the little things :(

Went here on Saturday evening, not been for a long time, staff was attentive, not friendly very robotic, was a few of us in the party, the food came quick & fast not one mistake with the full order, I'm well aware tapas is small dishes, but theres small & extremely small, one of the chicken dishes ordered you would of had more chicken from a wing. Nobody asked if our food was ok, had to try getting the waitresses attention to order drinks, even went to the bar to order, Our party found it to be over priced for the portions & quality of food, it's very unlikely we would return again, the restaurant was clean no atmosphere what's so ever & pretty dark..a few candles wouldn't of gone a miss..disappointed with the evening.

Went here with a friend late December. It's the second time I've been here and I was pleased to say it's still as good. Some of the dishes were unexciting (few in breadcrumbs) but then they were done well and seemed to be home made rather than bought it. We ordered prawns and they were that good we ordered them again. Rated 4/5 largely due to the food. On atmosphere alone (Friday at 7pm) it would be a 2/5. Food was delicious. Tapas is expensive for what you get but it didn’t disappoint on flavour. We enjoyed our meal. Atmosphere - A very very dark room, all waiters/waitresses stood at the bar watching on. Music too low. Just something not right with the atmosphere. VERY Covid safe with huge giant plastic screens and laminated posters. Dare I say too safe.

A fabulous experience at Casa Tapas. Authentic cuisine, friendly and knowledgeable staff and a good atmosphere. We shared 6 tapas between 2 and the lamb pieces were exceptional. There isn't many places still taking extra safety procedures, but this restaurant are doing it brilliantly. My only regret is not visiting sooner. We'll be back.

First time back at Cass Tapas since Covid. Really well spaced out tables felt very safe. Staff in masks. The food was excellent as ever. Really good to be back.

Before the Covid lockdowns we dined here quite often because the food was excellent, of generous proportions and reasonably priced. All that plus an attentive and friendly owner and his staff. Well, we are pleased to be able to say that now Cas Tapas has reopened everything is as good as it was before! We went for a meal there last Saturday and were delighted with it all. If you like Spanish Tapas, this is the place for you!

After reading some of the reviews on here we thought we would try it out. How disappointed we were. We entered the restaurant and was shown to our table by a surly waitress, we sat down and after about 5 minutes we were asked would we like a drink, that was fine. Another 25 minutes elapsed and a man came to take our order, we told him we hadn’t had the menu yet, he proceeded to tell us the piece of paper on the table was the menu ( what we thought was relating to COVID) and we had to scan the QR code. He returned 15 minutes later and we ordered. The dishes arrived that we had ordered the bread was very fresh and nice, the chicken was quite tasty, the chops we had ordered were tough and the large Prawns were a real effort to peel ( I didn’t think they were very fresh) the croquettes were nice and the patatas Bravas were ok, not the best I have had. We had a goats cheese with apple and honey, that was quite nice. Overall I was very disappointed as only now the restaurants are opening up, you would expect them to make that extra effort to make you want to return.

1st visit was about 11 years ago and always said we should go again. Got the chance this weekend. Food as good as I remember. Quick and friendly service, piping hot ,tasty food. Very very good covid procedures in place giving a comfortable safe environment not just for customers, but the staff. Won't wait 11years for our next visit

Spanish night at home and the food was lovely, plenty to choose from and all the food tasted really nice and was piping hot. There portions are quite big, we all ate our fill tonight.

We recently had takeout. The menu choices were very good, there’s something for everyone. We enjoyed all the dishes, they were well cooked and flavoursome. All in all very good, only criticism was the price. £92 we felt was expensive!

Really good selection. Enjoyed our food and drink - including Spanish cider! Last night before lockdown. Missing cinnamon for the churros! But they were hot, crispy, fresh. Recommend. Also parked directly outside.

A little gem in rawtenstall....good food in comfortable surroundings at good prices. Plenty of choice on the menu backed up with excellent service. Plus the biggest range of gins i have seen at the best price too.

Dined here with my wife for our seventh wedding anniversary ,good looking restaurant cost Spanish feel and staff were great and very welcoming . The food was great loved marinated lamb chops and tomatoe ,red onion salad the most .

This is our family favourite restaurant and also for “date night”. I’ve never eaten anything bad here, the cooking is exceptional and service too!

Have been twice, same experience! No welcoming experience, no atmosphere and poor service! When we entered we didn't even get a hello, just a glare. Food was okay though, such a shame.

An excellent evening, most enjoyable and with a great chat with the owner. Just a slight word of warning, if you are used to actual Spanish tapas, or even the ones from La Tasca, you will need to order less than you think as all the tapas are on the large side. We ordered 5 with garlic bread, magic incidentally, and it was too much. Four would have been ideal but we are not young spring chickens! Wine excellent but a trifle expensive. Give it a try.

We came here as a spontaneous tea out. Service and staff were great food was good but not amazing, we didn’t feel the food was fresh and it felt as though it was microwaved. We would come here again out of convenience but it’s not our favourite.

Good food and nice atmosphere. However, not the best option if you're sensitive to lights, they have like dark blue lighting there which is not the ideal. We enjoyed, worth a try!

I've lived in the valley for 20 years and Casa Tapas arrived about the same time. Beautifully decorated with a mediterranean feel. Warm and friendly, the staff are very attentive and don't pester you like other restaurants. If you're not eating you can just sit at the bar for drinks but if you go, you really should try the food, it's delicious, especially the Mejillones Catalana (Mussels in garlic & tomato sauce) or one of my favourites, Longostinos A La Plancha.

In brief, a fantastic night out, with exceptional food and superb service. I've never been disappointed here.The huge plateful of mussels in white wine for starters, ( don't forget to ask for bread to mop up the wine sauce), followed by a cracking seafood risotto and finishing with ice cream and a coffee. The white wine, a rioja, was chilled and smooth. My three guests had various other tapas dishes, and every plate was eaten and wholeheartedly approved. A great start to the Christmas Holidays.Thankyou Casa Tapas.

We came for family meal 6 of us and were left disappointed, not the best value. Food was not awful but by no means fantastic. You wouldn’t send it back but got no wow factor. Wi t be goi g again.

We popped into this restaurant on the chance they had a table - surprisingly for a Friday evening, there was plenty of room. We were seated quickly and given menus but it was over 15minutes before anyone came to take our drinks order and even then the waitress had to come back and check the order as she had forgotten the third drink- slightly annoying as she had a pad in her hand the whole time! Once we ordered food, it came in a timely manner. The menu is varied with lots of vegetarian options. Portion size was good and we enjoyed everyone of the 6 “plates” we ordered for the 3 of us to share. Overall, the food is nice but the front of house service definitely needs some attention. We would probably have ordered more drinks if the service had been better. Don’t get me wrong, they are pleasant, just lacking in attention and speed. Definitely worth a try for the food though.

Love this restaurant! Friendly and helpful staff, modern decor and the food! It was delicious! I can’t wait to have the croquetas de champinones again, soon hopefully! This is definitely the only tapas restaurant in Rossendale everyone should be going to.

My partner and i went again to casa tapas on the spur of the moment, early doors and no problem getting a table, We have now been 4 times over the period of 2 years and the food is great, Always a great choice and lots of it,friendly staff and good value for money, we have our our regular tapas selection and add a couple from the special board normally along with a nice bottle of the rose , it gets very busy later so either eat early or book,i am sure you will not be sorry.

My wife and I don't go out to eat often but when we do, we go to Casa Tapas. We also pick from the tapas menu rather than main courses and it has never disappointed.

Went here because it was suggested by friends and it didn’t disappoint. A family run restaurant for over 17 years and you could really feel the family feel when you enter. Warm and friendly greeting over we were shown to our table and given the menu. A great choice of hot and cold tapas to cover all options. Food was delicious, great mix of flavour but the perfect amount with 6 dishes between two. Following the mains the deserts finished off an enjoyable evening. Will definitely be going again!

Unable to book our restaurant of choice, remembered passing this place on several journeys to Rawtenstall. What a find, large choice of tasty food, reasonably priced drinks, pleasant, helpful waiter, can’t wait till next time 😊

From start to finish the whole evening was pleasurable. The restaurant was clean with tasteful decor. The staff were excellent, the young waiter Dean was very attentive and friendly. As we weren’t used to eating ‘tapas’ we were helpfully advised. The food was excellent as was the service. As a family of 4, we opted for a set menu which I’d highly recommend. The beer and wine also good as was the price of the total bill especially as it was NYE. The only slight downfall for us, they didn’t serve any bottled fruit ciders for my son, kopperberg in particular. We look forward to visiting again.

We go as a special treat to have the langostinos la plancha. Expensive but fantastic. Regular tapas is well priced and excellent quality. Recommended.

Visited while I was in Glasgow. Great menu and good drinks selection. Reasonable prices and friendly staff. Service was good and not rushed to finish your meal which makes a difference. Always go and eat here whenever I visit Glasgow.

Constantly Great Food and lovely surroundings

We were welcomed in a friendly manner and shown to a good sized table for 4. Order is taken meticulously and served at intervals as requested. We don't like all the food arriving at once. A good selection of wines too.

Great as always. Friendly service and delicious food. They had new staff on so manager apologised for any delay on service but we didn't notice and as always great restaurant.

Super meal with pleasant staff, quite busy but the staff coped well and were very efficient. My only problem was the toilet located upstairs which I found difficult with two knee replacements.

Bit of a mixed bag, really. We had some decent dishes in our tapas (tortilla was lovely), but others weren't great (sardines were quite dry). I think some ingredients were fresher than others. Decor is a bit dark and gloomy, but the staff were nice and did a good job. Wouldn't be my first (or second) choice for food in Rawtenstall.
