Casa do Frango in Southwark

Set under that railway arches and there is a cute upstairs bar in an arch. Cool relaxed surroundings and food was great. Frango is chicken in Portuguese and it's Piri-Piri style. Staff were great.

Great casual place for dinner. The menu has great choice of items, everything we had was delicious. Don’t miss out on a spicy Margarita either 😊 Our server Charles was so sweet!

Returning with my husband to sample the gracious hospitality of the London Bridge Casa do Frango after the issues we had at Shoreditch ( what a shame). There is nothing like Returning to your first love...and this restaurant definitely is that. The staff, the food the drinks...all superb, in a relaxed informal atmosphere that just makes a perfect evening. I will put a special name check to Mark, Nelson and Dami in the restaurant for their attention to detail. And in the beautiful hidden bar, thats sooo chilled..thank you to Issac and Megan for the amazing drinks. Come here and enjoy a unique experience. This is some of the best restaurant cooked chicken I've had anywhere. The meat was incredibly moist, the flavour was great and it came relatively quickly, given that we ordered four whole chickens. It was also fairly reasonably priced, although the sides were possibly a little on the pricy side. The service was great and the room itself was beautifully bright, with lots of plants and interesting original features of the buildings past.

Overpriced with small portions, waitress is horrible, they can't manage to do simple things without mistakes, the table was on the ground floor and the wind was constantly blowing on us. Every waiter kept knocking into my chair due to how cramped the tables were. They couldn't manage to bring the food that we asked for. We were there on on 9th of December and our table was booked at 4:45, it seemed as if the two waitresses girls did not care about there jobs. We asked to change table, but nobody cared. We were served by two girl waitresses. The situation became better when boy waiter came to us at the end. This whole experience was at London bridge.

We ordered a half chicken and a selection of plates to share. The chicken had tiny portions, canapè size, resembling animal cruelty. Each portion included half a breast and a drumstick; no leg, slaw, or fries. Priced at £14, it felt like a ripoff. The Iberico croquettes were four table tennis-sized bites, offering good flavor at £8.5, but essentially costing £2 per bite. The Fejoada was half a tin of baked beans priced at £10. The chorizo was hard and overcooked, more like a preserved salami, costing £9. Comparatively, Nando's is much better and more affordable. The chicken here is tender but half the size of Nando's for £14, and extras like fries and slaw are additional. The piri piri sauce was a disaster. The croquettes were okay, but only four small balls. In summary, the experience fell short, both in quantity and quality, especially when considering better alternatives like Nando's.

We sat upstairs which is really spacious with high ceilings and the plants add to the atmosphere which feels like being abroad. The menu is plentiful in choice and they label some allergens ie GF for gluten free. Our service was friendly and efficient & our server was knowledgeable regarding allergies and able to advise. The food is Portuguese sharing tapas, although you could order the half chicken as a main & have sides, but this can also be shared/it’s cut to share. The prawns & sweet potato dishes were superb, the chicken was slightly lack lustre, we found it dry, the peri sauce that comes with it was very nice. The drinks menu also has a lot of choice including sangria, vino verde & plenty more. It is quite a lively restaurant with wooden floorboards & the noise does travel, if your looking for a quiet meal this may not be the place, but it’s great for meeting with friends. Overall enjoyable experience, would recommend to friends & come back.

First time visit after a recommendation, and really enjoyed it. Great decor and ambience on the Sunday afternoon we visited, all the staff were friendly and welcoming. The menu is simple, we shared the cauliflower and prawns, followed by the piri piri chicken, rice, garlic mushrooms and slaw and we enjoyed all the dishes, with a lovely bottle of wine. Loved the relaxed sharing vibe and I would definitely recommend and visit again.

Cant say we enjoyed it. Apart from the fact that it is very loud, unable to have a civilised conversation but thats not the restaurants fault. Forget the not so professional receptionist as well as the inexperinced waiters, who seem to be students who have never worked in hospitality before, but the most disappointing thing was the tiny portions. We orderdered 1/2 chicken each. What we got was miniature chickens. We should have gone to Nondos.

One of the best meals I’ve had for ages. We had a selection of the sharing plates, and they were all excellent. Great service. Good atmosphere.

Superb food and outstanding service. We had a tiny quibble on one of the dishes which wasn't quite as good as it should have been and without even asking we had an apology and complimentary bottle of wine. 5 stars to the team! I will be coming back and highly recommend it.
