Dropped in for a Breakfast baguette and a coffee. There were a couple of tables but opted for take out, food was freshly made to order and the coffee was good. Always good to find a local business which takes pride in the food and service that they deliver. They also had a lunch menu which had some great panini options. Sausage baguette was tasty and would happily return.

A day-out in Bath, in what was pleasant weather, saw us take a long wander around the city centre and then into Victoria Park. Our walk had started at a friend’s home, where we had arranged to park-up in her private gated carpark. From there we walked down Cavendish Road and took the perimeter paths around the city end of Victoria Park, emerging onto Queen Square. From here we walked into and around the city streets taking in Bath Abbey and the shops. As we walked we were looking for a suitable eatery to provide my Partner with the perfect snack she craved. This turned out to be a toasted brie, bacon and cranberry sandwich which we found available at this very small sandwich shop-come-café. I opted for a toasted cheese and ham sandwich. The snack was completed with a shared small bag of Cheese and Onion crisps, and two good, hot and strong mugs of tea. All of our boxes became ticked here. The counter and kitchen area occupies over half of the floor space on this ground floor. Two small high-tables with stool-seats provided a limited (and on this occasion a most welcome) opportunity to sit and eat our freshly prepared sandwiches which were cooked to order. There was another couple who had already ordered sat on the other table, plus two couples in the queue at the servery. All people in the café were obviously regular clients and by the way they embraced as they left, some with take-outs, were related or maybe just good friends. We had to wait a while, but when the sandwiches arrived they were thoroughly excellent with generous, hot and fresh fillings. We couldn’t (and did not want to) fault what we had in any way. On leaving we returned to our car, after taking-in a good 45 minute walk through some of Victoria Park. The weather remained good throughout, and we drove home happy that we took this opportunity to get out and about.

Dropped in on this friendly little place, just off the beaten path, and enjoyed the most beautiful hot chocolate, made with oat milk. Highly recommend. Nice people running the joint too.

Cracking bacon & egg baguette. 10/10 Found Carter & Peri on a cycle odyssey to Bath from Bristol. We always rate the bacon & egg butties and this was up there with the best. Susan was a great host, nothing too much trouble.

Visiting bath for my birthday on one of the hottest weeks of the year, I bugged my husband for a chicken Caesar salad!! Found the shop by chance after walking 2 mins from the Zed hotel. The team were so incredibly friendly and kind. My husband fell in love with his American club baguette and my salad was the BEST! Cheap and fresh food! We’re already planning a sneaky trip in for the train back to london! Will definitely visit again and would recommend!!

Both excellent food and service. Their steak night is fabulous, well priced and generous. Drinks aren’t exorbitant either. Dogs allowed throughout which is helpful.

Visited Bath on a weekend away when the Christmas Markets were on. Enjoyed a fabulous Champagne Afternoon Tea at The Gainsborough Hotel by the fire. Delicious food and a very impressive location. Staff were also very helpful. Overall a very very pleasant experience. Would 100% recommend for anyone visiting Bath.

A vibrant atmosphere livened by excellent music choices & Gordon Jones’ own special sense of humour. Most importantly, brilliant taster menu and a great wine flight. My best eating out experience in Bath so far. Interestingly, this restaurant is slightly out from the city centre, located in the vibrant suburb of Bear Flats. It’s easily reached though & well worth it. Thanks… we’ll be back!

Straight forward simple food at very reasonable prices and plenty of space to sit and enjoy. Very nice to be able to find a cafe in such a central position in Bath without the usual high st chain paraphernalia.
