Was visiting the area and came across this place. They were so welcoming and made myself and my mum feel special. Food was great. Love the community feel and making new people feel welcome is a real skill.

Tenía un poco de tiempo para matar, así que llevé a mi hijo de 3 años para el desayuno. No es el café normal que se esperaría y no hay huevos fritos ni salchichas, etc. El chico tenía un croissant relleno de Nutella que disfrutaba mucho y estaba caliente, así que todo se escurría por todas partes y disfrutaba aún más. Terminó con eso en cada dedo y en toda su cara. Comí huevos revueltos y tocino, que estaba bien, pero un poco extraño. El tocino estaba en pedazos y los huevos estaban extrañamente sin líquidos y casi demasiado esponjosos. No estoy seguro de cómo estaban cocinados, pero sospecho microondas. Venía con un tomate en rodajas y una tostada blanca que estaba muy bien. No del todo no muy mal y ciertamente llenó un agujero y mantuvo al niño entretenido mientras esperaba. Tampoco es caro lo que era bueno.

Capuchino caliente con un delicioso croissant con jamón y queso, es el comienzo perfecto del fin de semana que necesitas y si hace sol afuera, ¡es una ventaja! ! ! ! Disfrutar.

Los propietarios siempre están ahí y se puede ver que la calidad está siempre presente. Un lugar fresco para relajarse y ver pasar el mundo. ¡Comida sabrosa y sencilla servida con una sonrisa! ! ¡Hasta mañana chicos! !

Hendon Central has been an occasional Saturday lunch spot for some time, but tradition dictated that we snacked at the Firenze, an old-fashioned Italian caff which did a mean omelette, even though standards had begun to slip a bit. That's gone now, replaced by a shiny refitted grill bar called the Prizreni, which wears its Kosovan roots on its sleeve but needs to work on its friendly face. At the moment the food is plain and simple with some Balkan flourishes, but there's not much atmosphere and when I tried it the clientele was very, very male. Just a few doors up the road, though, is Carpe Diem, which I always thought was another Italian and hadn't been tempted to try because the menu in the window is restricted to sandwiches and jacket spuds. Well, it said it above the door - seize the day, and let's see what's inside. Result! A very warm and friendly welcome, a choice of breakfast plates as well as meat or veg lasagne for a little over a fiver a plate, and a simply superb jacket spud which earned a double thumbs up from my resident expert. The lasagne was a real winner, too - creamy, meaty, a nicely-sized lunchtime portion. The Lavazza coffee was up to snuff, too, and the whole menu is very reasonably priced. Having looked into it a bit, it turns out that mine host is also Kosovan, and has been based in Hendon for some years. He certainly knows his business, we have a new Hendon lunch spot from now on.

We just popped in en passant for an afternoon snack. Great atmosphere. The staff and the other customers were very friendly. The coffee deserves a special mention: my partner is coffee-mad, so to get praise from her is something unusual -and she loved it here. A nice place.

Stopped here at random because we could easily park outside the cafe. Glad we did. Very friendly welcome from staff. Really excellent coffee served. Had 2 Pannini that were both described as excellent and served with a choice of salad or olives. The cooked breakfast of scrambled eggs, beans and bacon over two slices of toast was also very nice. The cafe is fairly small and eclectically decorated but worth stopping to visit if passing

Avoid if looking for a place to eat Breakfast. I am not even sure what their bacon is made from. All microwaved & overcooked.

I come often for a coffee and panini. Always being served by a lovely couple who runs this place. Food tastes delicious and is reasonably priced as well. Never disappointed. Definitely will come back soon.

The Italian proprietors are so welcoming that the coffee tastes good almost before it is served! I had a Danish pastry with my cappuccino, which was served warm (and with knife and fork provided, too). Makes me want to come to Hendon more often, maybe try the lunch offerings. One suggestion: if you don't want chocolate powder sprinkled over the frothed milk, best to ask not to have it included.

If you are looking for a cheap dinner which keeps you going for the rest of the day, this is your place! Friendly, international staff. Great food. ( try the poffed potato with beans and bacon!)
