Carnival Street Food & Bar in Manchester

So we had a table booked, we arrived and the place was closed. There was a note on outside menu to say they had to close this is not what I have problem with. What made me angry was we didn’t get an email or a call to let us know. This situation has left a bad taste in my mouth, so will not be bothering again. Especially as we live no where near.

Visited here for cocktails as had passed before and looked to be a good atmosphere, upon arriving no obvious menu atall available, drinks were very expensive for a small glass at over £14 per drink I was horrified when my partner brought mine and my friends drink back to the table also appeared we were overcharged as the bill didn't add up for 4 cocktails never again would I visit this place, may of just been a particular server or a bad day not so sut but we were very disappointed in the whole experience at a premium price! Would never return again if I wasn't half drunk I would of complained!

I have not actually visited this restaurant, however i was passing by at 1pm today during the minutes silence in remembrance of the queen. They had party music BLASTING!! I personally think this is totally disrespectful and the company should be ashamed. Also, this is the same owners of Boujee, which is well known for terrible service and not paying their staff. The people running these places are disgusting and everyone should avoid both like the plague!!!

Service was horrendous, waited 30 minutes for a cocktail that cost £13, my friends ordered 8 drinks after me and they all got theirs first. We were all given drinks from other tables that we hadn’t paid for so every could I guess. We also had to share a table with random people as they got the tables mixed up.

Don’t bother if you want food, go to spoons, or Vanilla Fudge (a takeaway across the street). Nice drinks and atmosphere though. The food was all very dry and overcooked. You could tell it was made as cheaply as possible - I think that says it all. There was no menu, you had to look at it on your phone. The service charge isn’t discretionary, you have to order and pay at the bar - you don’t get the chance to look at the bill.
