Carmel in Brent

Big thanks to the waitress, Fabiana, who really impressed our party of 20 odd people with her politeness and attentiveness. Aside from that, the food was simply incredible. I could taste the freshness and inventiveness in every bite, if every dish. Lastly, the atmosphere was incredible - the perfect vibe in every way.

We had heard wonderful things about Carmel so took the first opportunity to visit for lunch. The place has a relaxed vibe and is certainly a nice addition to the neighborhood. The service was also pretty good and happy. However, taste is king and the food was just average, we ordered quite a range but only the Miso Harrissa slow grilled chicken (£27) was memorable. At these sort of prices I was really hoping for something a little better. It’s a shame really as it’s a nice spot.

Beautiful place with cosy decoration including illumination and music (delicate sound)… service is remarkable and food is deliciously presented and cooked… i’ll come back for sure!

When we arrived a few minutes before our reservation, the staff pointed to a table that was occupied and told that it was our table and we would have to wait. There wasn't much room in the restaurant so we stood outside....it would have been nice if they had offered us a drink whilst we waited, but that didn't happen and it was a good 20 minutes before we were invited to be seated. An inauspicious start. The menu is based on sharing plates, both for starters and mains, but one of the vegetarian starters was not available, which was not ideal. When we got to dessert, there were only three options on the menu and yet one was not available. If a restaurant has a standard (and limited) menu, it is poor to have items unavailable. Having said that the food that we did have tasted delicious, even if the portions seemed on the small side for sharing plates. The service was friendly, and not rushed and the birthday girl was recognised with a candle on the creme brûlée dessert. I would go again, but I think there are a growing number of restaurants offering similar cuisine in this part of London worth considering too.

Very poor value as the eye watering prices and teeny weeny main course portions made for a less than memorable experience...

Just loved the Food have been several times, however last night was the first time that we all felt disappointed.. Our table of 6 mainly ordered the Brick-Pressed Black Lime Chicken which was soooo tasty, however portion size are really quite small and certainly for almost £20 a plate it doesn't come with accompaniment's or options of ordering something to go with it, just flatbreads. Then we were advised by our waitress that the menu is really designed on sharing plates and that they don't have a "main plates" principle. So even though the Brick-Pressed Black Lime Chicken was amazing it could have been so much better and we all left a little hungry and disappointed even though we did have a few flatbreads as starters, although there not actually classified as a started.

We love it here - the food is absolutely delicious, the restaurant is always busy with a warm atmosphere and the staff are so friendly and helpful. We will be back!

We had the miso aubergine, mushroom flatbread and merguez sausage. Everything tasted amazing. The best restaurant in Queen’s Park. We will be back every week!

Loved this restaurant, definitely want to return. The kind of place you could book a table for 2 or 20- works in lots of different ways. I am not a vegetarian but just shared veg dishes and no meat but there was so much flavour. Wine is very expensive is the only downside.

Delicious food and excellent service, the aubergine and miso tahini was a standout dish . Great vibe to the place. Highly recommend.

The food was amazing, along with the very friendly and welcoming staff. We had 1 Flatbread and 3 choices from the 'Plates' which was a perfect amount for two. Loved the overall vibe (especially the music) and will be back very soon I'm sure!

The menu had lots of exciting options, and everything we ordered was delicious. This was coupled with a buzzy atmosphere and brilliant service. A top meal!

BEWARE. They are not at all generous with their cancellation policy. Yes, it's a policy. But this is THE ONLY PLACE in London that enforces it. Son down with COVID (again!), cancelling a restaurant isn't the first thing that comes to mind. BEWARE.

Words cannot express how wonderful the food is here - as for the flatbread - wow! We had the chilli and could have eaten it all night. Ditto the cabbage (a lowly description of a plate from heaven) and the cauliflower. We were served by a warm and knowledgeable waitress. I don't know her name but she said she was Bulgarian. A lovely person! So helpful, interested, interesting, and warm. Fab restaurant.

the food was quite wonderful, full of flavour and nicely apportioned. Sadly, the service was sorely lacking: a forgotten drink and food order, a wine offered that was clearly off, and a hostess who was rude when insisting we had to move tables 15 minutes...

This is a lively and popular restaurant in Queens Park. You will have to book. We ate outside, they provide blankets and electric heaters so we’re warm enough. We had the taster menu where you serve everything to the table and you dip in yourself....

Everything that came out was delicious, wine was quality and the service was spot on. One of the best spots in London
