Carlo Italian Bistro-Deli in Waverley

Ordered a chicken panini, it had no cheese inside it was just bland and super dry pretty disappointing to be honest first time there as well

The Food at this Lovely Italian Bistro is Superb,and they do the Best Lemon Tart and Chocolate Tart Bar None,Plus the Owners 2 Italian Men are Lovely and Freindly.

Really delicious authentic Italian food at sensible prices. Good selection of wine and best coffee for miles around. I had wild boar ravioli and it was fabulous. Others had prawn spaghetti and pizzas. Food was so good even had dessert which we never normally do. Will definitely be going back.

Had lunch here earlier today. Cosy restaurant with excellent food & good service. Lots of lovely pastries to buy in the deli! Will definitely be returning.

I would love to recommend this place, but sadly my partner was harassed by sleazy staff on the way to the toilet. He pushed her aside and gave her a note with his number on it, in a very sexual way. We were clearly there as a family, with my partner and mum. She was shocked and disgusted, so we sadly will not be going there again. She didn't tell me until after because I would have punched him, 0 out of 10. Get your house in order! Vile behaviour. The note is provided as proof in photo below

Great pub, with wholesome grub. The large modern aluminium and glass eating area is really zooty!

Popped in for a quick coffee with a friend, which turned into a long couple of coffees! Excellent black American - lovely strong coffee. Staff were very friendly. Plan to pop back soon for lunch.

What a gem! For all the people of this small community Carlo is a welcome addition. Excellent coffee in the morning; not forgetting the selection of biscotti to the wonderful menu full of the best that Italian food has to offer. Enjoy.

We enjoyed our night out. Just a bit more care and attention is needed with the food, I think. Lasagne was a bit dry and overcooked, and pizza was served burnt underneath. Atmosphere was good and was buzzing with people, and service was excellent.

I’ve eaten here a few times now, tonight was the first time I tried the pasta menu. It’s delicious. It’s got a wonderful atmosphere, the service is always on point, the wine list is great and it just has a lot of charm whenever we have eaten there. Tonight I had lasagne and tiramisu - all homemade with good quality ingredients. Yum, yum and yum. Thank you for creating a real gem of a restaurant locally - we absolutely love it.

We ate at Carlo's yesterday evening and enjoyed a proper Italian treat! The menu selection is perfectly sized in addition to some fantastic daily specials. The wine menu is matched impeccably to what's available. Authentic, fresh and delicious - in addition to a warm and friendly Italian influenced service makes for a perfect evening of dining. I have been meaning to review Carlo Italian Bistro-Deli for a while now. I went their on my birthday just as a little treat and I have to say that the food was superb in every sense of the word. Everything I had was all authentic Italian cuisine even down to the beer (from Italian brewery's. The prices are considerably lower than any other restaurants offering the same items. If you are ever in Beacon Hill you have to visit.

Great atmosphere and brilliant food. We are a gluten free family and they quickly made something especially for all of us.

Proud to have this little bistro and deli in our village, seems really popular especially for the evening dinners. Its not a case of when we'll be back for dinner, its more about how many times to try everything on the menu!

We had lunch on Tuesday and very good Italian freshly made pasta just like mama would make it 👍. We both had the bruschetta, followed with penne arrabiatta and carbonara cooked al dente. Couldn’t manage any sweet but they looked delicious so finished off with coffees and tea. Will return when back in the area in a couple of months time and try some then. We arrived at 1200 and a few tables taken at that time with only 2 tables vacant at 1330 as we left. Good to see it is well patronised, so booking required if looking at a later lunch.

What an asset to our village, brilliant. Delicious, home cooked Italian food. I love it. Always leave with a bag of groceries from their quality selection of goods. Yummmmm

Excellent Italian bistro and deli. Very typical Italian in style, we have visited a few times in the last couple of months. The coffee and the food are great. Lunch time cafe feel or evening intimate restaurant. And a great delicatessen with authentic food from the jars of Calabrese and pasta nero to the canoli and sfogliatlle cakes.

So good to see a new local restaurant that is thriving. A buzzy atmosphere on Saturday evening with great service. Food using fresh ingredients and good wine choice. (Calamari and pizzas with primativo).We are looking forward to returning.

Great local bistro serving genuine Italian wines, pizzas, pastas, pastries, cakes, coffees and more in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. And a well stocked deli for 'make at home' if you wish. Carlo, Giuliano and all the staff are friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend the evening sessions too.

What can I say? Some of the best Italian food I have had outside of Italy. Beautifully cooked, fresh delicious ingredients and a really lovely setting. I have been waiting ages to try this and it was worth the wait! Cannot recommend highly enough.

Have just eaten the best ravioli I've had for ages. Spaghetti Carbonara,my wife had, delicious too. Worth supporting, genuine Italian chefs!

Just had a wonderful lunch. Pasta was delicious, and clearly made with great indredients by an experienced chef. The staff and atmosphere was lovely. Great to hear that they're getting a licence next week! 🤞 Will definitely be returning.

Just what is needed here, a real treat, traditional Italian ingredients and cooking style. We had brilliant lunch here, fresh pasta/pizza/panini/cake/coffee menu and deli/Italian store. For now it is a cafe style bistro, only open until 5.30pm and waiting for license, but I hope it becomes a full restaurant the food is excellent. The meats for pizza are hand carved, the mozzarella is so delicate, not tried the pasta dishes yet but they look good.

Stopped in with our boys for take away Panini. Excellent! Also left with some panettone and pesto for home. The pizza looked superb. Great addition to the village and area.

Great new Italian restaurant in Beacon Hill. Excellent food and service. Amazing pizza. Really good to see they are using superb quality ingredients. Hopefully they will open in the evening soon. Was great to see it full today at lunchtime.
