Great food! Sharing platters are huge and well worth the money. Holiday vibes when you’re there.

8 of us had a fabulous meal with about 3 tapas dishes each!

A lovely dine-in place! First time here and will be my top spots to go to! highly recommend, the man who was on was sweet and friendly, also helpful as well! Area was clean and tidy, and food was absolutely spot on!

The whole restaurant was in disarray from the moment we walked in. They didn't seem to have our booking, but they did get us a table. We ordered our drinks, which came within 10 minutes, but this is where it all went down hill. 15 minutes after our drinks arrived, I had to ask the waitress if we could order some food. The waitress took our order and advised us there is a 25-30 minute wait on the food. 45 minutes later, we were presented with some food that was not our order. This was for a table near us, who had been waiting before us. 15 minutes later, we asked the waitress how long the food would be. She went away and came back to say it was 4-5 minutes away. Another 15 minutes later, we asked where our food was, and she apologised and said it should be ready, so she went to check. 10 minutes later, our food arrived. The food was very nice, though! I felt sorry for the waitress because she said it was her first day and she was supposed to have left before the evening service. She had the manager and other customers shouting at her, which is not acceptable. I spoke to the "manager" before I left, and he just kept saying he would pass it on to the kitchen. We were not even offered a free drink or discount on the bill for the long wait. It seemed the whole restaurant was in disarray because other people were complaining and talking to the manager. Unless the manager reaches out and contacts me, we won't be going there again!

Food was good, but the suggested 25 minute wait turned out to be over an hour and a half. There is a list of so many poor things, the good food just doesn't make up for it. We had pre-booked, but they hadn't taken down our name properly, so couldn't find our table; they took our drinks and food order straight away but even the drinks didn't appear for over an hour and arrived incorrect; food order had two dishes missing. Our server, Jodie, was excellent. She was apologetic and clearly embarrassed by the delay. Management, however, offered little in the way of discount or apology, even when challenged and left the young server to make the apology on their behalf. They seemed to assume that taking the unserved meals off the bill was part of their discount. Offered £10 discount against a bill of over £160 was poor recompense. A very disappointing evening. Don't go.

Visited for lunch, and the tapas and sharing platter were fantastic. Freshly cooked food with great flavour. Can't wait to return.

This is a lovely special little tapas place in Leamington! The place is as warm and inviting as the staff and food!! The service and food is always absolutely fabulous, we've been countless times, since discovering last year, taking friends and recommending to everyone local! We have left more than happy everytime and full bellies every visit, highly recommend trying! Great atmosphere, lovely music and gorgeous food, what more is there to say!

Really enjoyable dinner at Carisma. We had some starters and the seafood platter, which was amazingly presented, had loads of variety and was delicious.

The tapas were amazing! We had a lovely dinner and the staff were very attentive and friendly. Highly recommend the prawns and the octopus!

I thought food tasted ok .tapas..all came to quick for me with some being just warm when I got to it....two prawns for about £8...small plates...bit pricy in my opinion. Was empty almost when we got there...perhaps a hint there??

My favorite place in Leamington Spa, summer or winter. Quirky motif that is pleasing and comfortable, I just love the colors, especially on the back patio. The service is friendly and the menu is broad and excellent. Small plates for every taste all well prepared. Nice wine list and great plates to accompany. I go back every time.

Food was mostly ok/ good but on the expensive side for what you get. The tempura vegetables were however not crispy at all and very disappointing.

Great Mediterranean food and drinks!

Interior is really fun, they’ve got loads of seating options. Staff was good, a little slow but they were busy so understandable! We had the sharing platters, the seafood one wasn’t my favourite as it was a lot of deep fried fish essentially but the mediterranean platter was really good. Portions were huge and plenty enough for 6 people. Nice choices of drinks too.

Great place with a nice garden. I went with a friend, we took the Mediterranean shared plate and some chicken skewers. It was great. Their homemade sangria was really tasty. Overall not mind blowing but really good place with great staff and atmosphere. I would recommend it to meet friends with a drink and some bites.

I really enjoyed the meal, service was lovely. Me and my brother had been attracted by this very lovely painting in the backyard sitting area and asked the waitress about it as a way of having a conversation and we were surprised she actually knew about it. I will definitely visit this lovely place again.

What has happened to this place ! Came a yr ago for our anniversary & had the best tapas ever & came tonight to the worse 😢. Tbf the waitress was lovely , but when your food arrives literally after ordering you know it's not been cooked from fresh 😫. The salad that's was served, well I wouldn't serve it to anyone, the tapas was dry & over cooked ! Sad thing is we will never come back even if a free bottle was thrown in 😂...such a shame . I hope things change in the kitchen asap. I've been to the harvester & had better tapas.

Beautiful day in Leamington and we came across what we thought was a gem going by the stars & reviews. Very quickly regretted this decision. Cutlery & glasses etc were dirty. The service was abysmal and that was from the owner. Food was either heavily seasoned or completely bland, overcooked and poor texture and thick gelatinous sauces. In fact I can't point one thing ordered that I would rate or want to try again. We sampled lots of things off the menu to try to. The bill was astronomical considering these were mini mini tapas portions and the wait was exceptionally long to. Couldn't and wouldn't recommend.

If I were to recommend you a place to go to have the worst day of your life it would be here . All the food tasted like it was boiled with no seasoning other than a generous garnish of tarantula looking hairs , honestly never again unless I want to self harm . So expensive too , they were acting like I was a prince one drink another +£50 .

Really good pork belly, octopus and churros. Lovely staff. Nice décor upstairs in the evening as well. Good Spanish draft lager and wine is ok.

Came here for dinner with our 2 girls. The food was amazing and the staff were great. Definitely would be coming back again. Tapas went down really well with the kids

Lovely place with delicious food and friendly staff. The menu offers many options. We went for tapas and ordered 5 small plates between us 2. We had Nachos (we really recommend!!), honey glazed chorizo, Brie wedges, patates bravas and squid. The portions were generous and we loved the food! We also shared one portion of churros for dessert, it was plenty for 2 after the tapas. The food was delivered at a good pace and we didn’t have to wait too long. The place got quite busy around 7pm so I would definitely recommend booking. 6pm seemed the perfect time to be there. We would love to come back if we ever visit Leamington Spa again!

Great place to meet family and friends

We had the sharing platter which was amazing, couldn't fault it.

Loved it, very authentic dishes packed with flavour. Reasonably priced for tapas (so still expensive but you pay for the quality). We had 8 dishes for two people and it cost ~£35 each.

What an experience 👏...fab food and I'm extremely fussy...the decor is so quirky...very reasonably priced...and attentive service...i loved it.

The word "tapas" is used liberally everywhere but this is the furthest thing from a tapas bar I've ever seen. The menu is mostly Turkish with bits from around 10 other cuisines. Patatas bravas is the only Spanish food item. The Arabic music really sets the vibe. Staff are very friendly and attentive, ill give them that.

We live in Essex but on our 4th visit to Leamington Spa this was our 3rd visit to Carisma. It was a mid week visit this time but still a nice atmosphere with beautiful food, amazing decor and very professional & friendly staff. We will definitely return.

We popped in on the off chance of a table after seeing positive Google reviews. Warm welcome, friendly staff, excellent service and amazing food. We had the Spanish platter and a bottle of Malbec. Couldn't finish the platter between 2 of us! Lovely selectionand great value. Would throughly recommend.

Bad experience. Bland food which is rare for a tapas restaurant. The saffron chicken was one of the worst dishes I have had before. I would definitely not recommend this place.

HORRIBLE FOOOD!!!!! PLEASE AVOID..WORSET CHICKEN I HAVE EVER EATEN EWWW We wasted most of the food and only the bread mainly for dinner - everything was bland. The tapas are not tapas.. the patata bravas taste nothing like they should. Service sucks- very slow and didnt even give us water for 45 mins even after asking 3 times. They didnt even have a glass of sangria only a 2 litre jug- dosent cater to smaller groups. We went to the local sainsbury to grab some food after. Defo wouldnt reccom this place

Assembled food. 50% iceberg lettuce tapas. Beer was alright. Underwhelmed given the other reviews on here. Pricey too.

Staff were friendly, interior was very nice! The food was okay. We ordered the camembert and we were very surprised when no bread came with it. The tapas menu also says each dish comes with bread however we only received one plate of bread with 4 slices on between 3 of us. We had to ask for more which wasn’t great. The Camembert wasn’t hot inside so it wasn’t very melted, it didn’t have much flavour either. We would recommend the prawns though, these were delicious.

Went as a group of ten to celebrate and we were well looked after. The food was great, fresh and tasty. We had 2-3 tapas per person and shared. The decor is lovely, so don't make assumptions from outside. Highly recommended. Service was outstanding too, thank you for everything. The food all arrived at the same time despite a large order.

Only went in for a drink tonight but have been for tapas and every time, the food and wine has been great and the service has been perfect. Really good local spot.

Excellent food, very friendly service and a very stylish setting. A great choice of delicious tapas, lovely bread and generous portions. The only disappointment was that there were no milk alternatives for tea and coffee and this is something people who don't drink milk should be aware of.

The best restaurant in Leamington, most incredible food I've ever had. I've lived in Leamington all my life and no idea how I've missed this place, a true hidden gem. The tapas is incredibly flavourful, I had vegan dishes and my friend had meat and fish and is also gluten free, so we can attest to the quality for veggies/vegans and meat lovers. Staff are lovely and very helpful, very relaxed atmosphere so they leave you to browse the menu at your own pace. The decor is incredible, certaintly the best looking restaurant I've visited in a long while. Will be coming back for definite. Highly highly recommend!!!

I have just been on my third visit to Carisma and it really is such an amazing place. The staff are brilliant, the surroundings so lovely and the food just fantastic. I can't recommend this place highly enough - well worth a visit.

Food was nice service was good apart from the waitress dropping a pint of beer all over me, which wouldn't of been an issue except at least 8 of our group has food poisoning.. the next as we spoke about the night we had had it be came apparent that 8 of us had stomach cramps and the runs though the night into the next morning 🤔

Small quiet location very cozy and friendly servers. Wonderful selection of tapas and they all come with the best potatoes I think I’ve ever had. Lightly marinated in some sort of curry but they’re soft on the inside and a nice crisp on the outside. The just dip platter and the sucuk was my favorite and mixed with their bread it was good to not leave a drop of sauce behind! 5/5. Very affordable too for the quality of food. Loved our visit here 5/5!

We have been here several times, and all previous experiences were great, so we decided to take the in-laws tonight (Saturday, 18th). On arrival, we were taken to our table and handed a menu. Not even 5 minutes later, the waitress was back with a notepad asking for our order, we hadn't had time to look at the menu, so we asked to order our drinks first. Once we decided what we wanted to eat, we got the waitresses' attention and ordered our food. Our food started to come out, but we were missing one dish, we informed the waitress, and she speedily got the missing dish. I went to eat the lamb kofta skewers, and the meat was raw, not cooked inside, and it was cold (not room temp cold. It was actually cold) We informed the waitress, she was very apologetic and said she would get a replacement, 10 minutes later and we still did not have the replacement so we asked the waitress where they were, she said I will go and get them, a few minutes later, she was back with the replacement lamb kofta skewers. We ordered nachos, and they were well over done and burnt. Near the end of the meal, my father-in-law ordered a beer, but 10-15 minutes passed, and he had not received the beer. Again, we asked the waitress, and she went to get it. Apart from the issues mentioned, the rest of the food was great. It seems they had a bad day at the office, but we were very disappointed, especially as we had been telling my In-laws how good Carisma is. It is a shame, and I'm not sure if we will be back in a hurry

Beautiful Tapas and wine restaurant. The atmosphere is wonderful the food is incredible and the staff are fabulous! Service is to a very high standard along with the food. Can't wait to go again!

Went there last night to celebrate my birthday. Yes it was a Friday although it was at 8pm and less people would naturally be eating. The owner took us to the seat and we made sure that it was okay to just have a drink. He said yes but he would need to have the table in 30 mins which we happily obliged. The drinks took 10 mins to come out to us. So we then had to rush them. Within those following 20 mins. We got so many dirty looks from the bar staff and 6 of them came over to ask if we wanted food. Towards the end of the time once we had rushed our drinks because we were clearly not welcome. The owner came over and said as there was some tables leaving out back we could stay. But by then the damage had been done. The owner was nice and polite although the bar staff need to have an attitude check. Take the words “wine bar” from your advertisement if you are not willing to allow people to just have a drink in your premises.

I was out as a group and went in for drinks, the service was great a warm welcome. Cocktails were also amazing. We didn't eat but I will certainly be back to try the menu.

Charisma is by far the best tapas restaurant I have ever been to whether it's a meal for two or a crowd I can highly recommend it the food is delicious, the staff are attentive and polite and always make you feel welcome don't go anywhere else if you want tapas the menu is vast something for everyone.

Nice tapas bar. Curious decor. Someone painting the interior must have had a gold finger. I’d prefer a place with personality and good food any day, above a clinical place with average food. The traditional Turkish sausage…. Sucuk… was my favourite tapa. The service was ok. Wine selection is also ok. I’d come back. It is one of the better restaurants on Regent street.

This wonderful gem of a restaurant is called carisma for a reason. Lovely ambience and atmosphere as soon as you walk in, and the service is stellar. My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed the tapas we ordered (I would particularly recommend the saffron chicken!) and for the quality of the food and fresh ingredients, the price is excellent. We will be making this a regular haunt!

Friendly staff but not enough of them. Lengthy delays between ordering food and it reaching the table. Tasty tapas. The music needs to be changed as it is affecting the identity and the authenticity of the restaurant. Not sure why tapas bar suppose to be Spanish style have old French music like Histoire d'un amour. Just a thought 😊

Amazing food, great atmosphere, the owner was very friendly and comes to talk to you. Serves a great selection of wines to complement the food. Been twice now and would definitely recommend this restaurant
