Popped in here on my lunch hour as I was in Grangetown with work. Have wanted to try it for ages after noticing it driving past - the Jerk chicken is amazing, you can get freshly made patties too! Can't wait to get stuck into the full menu, as I'm sure it delivers if what I had on my first visit is anything to go by. Can't wait to get back!

The suburb of Grangetown a short walk from Cardiff City centre is fast becoming a go too place for ‘Foodies’ with several new businesses establishing themselves lately. One of these businesses is the Caribbean Way located on Clare Rd. Owned and run by Charlotte she uses her Jamaican roots to create wonderfully tasting authentic dishes. I’ve eaten here many times and am always excited to go back to eat my way through the menu. The Goat curry is amazing and the Jerk Chicken wrap meal I had the other day was divine. My wife had the fried chicken with rice and salad and we both left happy. Unfortunately at the moment the closing time is 6pm but this I’m assured is down to the local authorities- an extension of the opening hours is hopefully soon to be extended as is the alcohol licence. The Caribbean Way is open Tuesday-Saturday 11-6pm. There are only two tables and room for half a dozen to eat on stools along the back wall. We weren’t surprised to see how many take out orders were collected by cycle delivery riders. The quality and flavour of the food along with the fantastic value for money is a complete winner. I’ve eaten in all of the City’s Jamaican restaurants and can honestly tell all my fellow Tripadvisor’s that this one is by far THE BEST!!!!

8 Mill LaneReserve una comida para el 10 de mayo de 2025 con 6 ex colegas para reunirse y ponerse al día. Sentado razonablemente poco después de nuestra hora reservada de 5: 30 Varios de nosotros tratamos de ordenar a través del código qr en la mesa, pero la aplicación simplemente nos siguió echando. Afortunadamente había un servicio de pedidos "tradicional" de un miembro del personal. Desde allí la experiencia fue cuesta abajo. Después de una espera de 75 minutos y 2 consultas nuestra comida finalmente llegó. Tomé la hamburguesa gaucho. 2 empanadas muy secas, poco condimentadas con tiras secas de tocino rayado, una pequeña porción de papas fritas pálidas y un plato pequeño con algunos restos de col blanca. ¿Fue una ensalada? ¿Fue una "slaw"? Quién sabe pero tampoco nada parecido. Todos los que ordenaron el filete ribeye encontraron que estaba subhecho. El médium llegó raro. Medio - raro - creemos que todavía tenía un pulso! Las mismas papas pálidas, pero el maíz en la mazorca estaba bien, al igual que el queso mac 'n', aunque el tamaño de la porción era poco impresionante. Lamentablemente no impresionado en absoluto con la velocidad del servicio, la calidad de los alimentos, o la cantidad de alimentos por el precio pagado. Las Iguanas - Cardiff Bay es mucho mejor aunque tristemente no es central para reunirse con amigos, por lo que elegimos Mill Lane en esta ocasión. Todos estuvieron de acuerdo, es poco probable que regresen a esta rama en particular.
