Cardamon Green Restaurant in Kirklees

We ordered the platter, which was fresh and full of flavour, making for a delightful start to the meal. The lamb bhuna was rich and perfectly spiced, paired with a warm, fluffy naan that was absolutely spot on. Cold drinks were refreshing, and overall, it was excellent value for money.

I would 100% recommend. The food was absolutely gorgeous and the service was quick and efficient. Staff were more than lovely and were extremely helpful. Price was reasonable you really pay for what you get.

As a regular, Ive seen it be quiet with the restaurant practically to ourselves and busy with big groups especially coming up to Christmas. Favourite dishes are chicken tikka starter, lamb chops, palak paneer, lamb bahari murgh washed down with king fisher… if you're a fan of spice the naga is good and a little tamer the kahari always a good choice. Naan breads, mushroom rice and good old fries (don't knock it til you've tried it) are good sundries choices. Obviously got to have the poppadoms and pickle tray too. If you like the tawa style of eating this is also a great option but it’s only offered Monday - Thursday I believe. We regularly have chats with the staff, all lovely.

Delicious Indian food at reasonable prices. The vegetable samosas were the best I've ever had! Very friendly people. Sadly, we visited the day before its closure. I'm sorry to see you go. Wishing you all the best.

Incredible. One of the best Indian restaurants in Huddersfield. If not the best in my opinion.

This is now called "Bay Leaf and Beyond", but same delicious food. The Lasan Mirch had a lovely rich sauce and was well spiced. The dahl was lovely too. The garlic naan was very buttery and with plenty of garlic. Everything was generous portions. Would have liked slightly warmer plates.

Went as part of a large group. The service was very slow as they appeared to be understaffed. Therefore the food was getting cold by the time we got our sundries items. But reasonable value for money.

Fantastic curry, one of the best in huddersfield.

Haven’t been for a while but a take away tonight and the food was beautiful. A great restaurant and the staff are always amazing. Won’t leave it as long next time!

The food was cold, took an hour to actually be able to order our food, food took another hour to get to us, had to send back 4 different dishes because it was done incorrectly and when we ordered a chicken curry there was only one piece of chicken and the rest was all tomatoes so we sent it back and it took another 20 minutes to revive it and I was quite rudely given to us, even the side chips were given cold and when asked for warmer ones they said 'no no, no warmer ones' and walked off. However some of the busboys and girls were very nice and very quickly cleaned up the table for us so I’ll give them that

Tasty curry in a tidy restaurant

This is a really lovely local Indian. Staff are lovely and it's always quite don't know why must do a lot of takeaway food. Regardless of this the food was top notch can't go far wrong with the old popudums and pickle tray got to love those dips. I went for a chicken skewers and satay main delicious and the main was chicken mamzi excellent. Check it out great food good atmosphere:)

Food not got tawa £32 for 2 people wasn't bad had soft drinks and pickle tray bil came to £41 reasonable priced

Favorite of ours. Chicken Tikka is the best I've ever had.

Had my first takeaway from here tonight and I must say I was very pleased with it. The service was fast and the chicken delicious. It might have been my first but it won't be my last.

Very disappointed with our visit,took quite while to get the orders taken,just 1 starter ordered which seemed to take a long time . Having got that out of the way you would have thought the main courses would follow pretty quickly but not the case. As the restaurant was not busy this also added to the frustration of a long wait for food which didn't help when the staff missed off a meal. Have been before and could not praise it enough but on this visit must do better,

Moved away for years but I find myself craving their curries in particular on occasion.

This place is (and I don't say this lightly) the best curry I've eaten in however long I can't even remember. Quality starters, mains to match and superior service. If you're not trying here for your next curry , you're wrong.

Most stuffed I've been in years! Fabulous meal and well presented on a huge platter - got a meal for 2 for me n my 20yr old son who both like food, and couldn't finish it! There were 18 other rugby lads as well, all very happy with their vfm and delish meals!

This is the second time I've come here and it was even better than last time. Food was great and the staff were really friendly. This will be my new go to place in huddersfield for a curry now.

Just been in to collect a takeaway, haven’t been in years since we moved away, now we’re back I really feel at home again. Owner greeted me with happy smiles and I had a drink with him as the food was being prepped. The restaurant was super clean and well decorated, staff were nice. But ultimately the food is fantastic! Not greasy, perfect spice levels, really impressed. Will defo be going back with my family!

Excellent experience throughout: service, food and well-mannered waiter

So me and my wife called this evening for the 1st time. As we entered the reception area we noticed that it was very nice and there was a girl behind the bar who greeted us, without a smile or any personality what so ever. She showed us to our table with no conversation at all and as we got to our table she never said, will this be ok, instead she just pointed to it and then left. At this point I was glad she left as she didn't make you feel welcome at all. I would of felt more welcome on death row than here at this point. So we ordered some drinks from the almost dead girl,still no smile or conversation, she must really hate her job. Our food was ordered by some other staff and these guys was very polite and had some manners which was nice. The starter came and it was so nice, the Curry's came and they was also very nice, the place is very clean and organised and we loved it and would call again. I would of given it 5* if they didn't have the Grimm reaper greeting people at the door.Apart from that it's worth a visit, we really enjoyed the food. Just greet people with a smile because the customers are vital to keeping your business going. Update as of December 23rd 2021 been back recently and glad to say no grim reaper the food is still very nice, great staff, quick service , value for money its a must call.

We booked tables for 26 people three weeks in advance for 7pm there were two waiters serving drinks and taking food orders all food orders were taken by 7.15 we thought this was good service. However the first meal came to the table at 20.45 the last meal was served at 21.15 the food was average but the service totally let us down they had enough time in advance to bring more staff in only one more table were dining this is a clear case of profit over customer service

Good food,but lacks atmosphere and also the staff are not very professional. We always find it cold in the restaurant so if you visit in winter put your long John's on!

The starter and main course last night was absolutely delicious could not fault it in any way along with the service which was very impressed with. Definitely be going again soon

Food was lovely, service was excellent with the elderly gentleman, very attentive but very poor service from the young waiter, rolling his eyes, if we ask for more cutlery or water, which unfortunately made me not want to return

Right, just been here. Where do I start? The service was extremely terrible and the restaurant was cold. We had ordered the food, the chicken was rubbery and the onion baji was uncooked from the inside which nearly made me sick. The fried onions that get served weren't fried just a whole onion placed on the tawa. The main course looked like it's been sat there 3 hours before, was not fresh at all and tasted terrible. Now we get to the exciting bit! Cutting the seekh kebab in my plate finding a extremely long black curly hair that was cooked inside the kebab. Such a disappointment it was revolting, had to stop eating. I told the waiter after waiting 10 minutes for him to come with us being the only customers in the restaurant. He did not even apologise or offer a replacement meal and swiftly emptied the table in an abrupt manner. Walking towards the exit the waiter came running 🏃‍♂️ across the restaurant to ask us to pay. I looked at him with disgust and told him I'm not paying for a meal that I haven't eaten and the food was very hairy. He then insisted for us to pay for 2 diet cokes. Me thinking this guy is pathetic and clearly lacks in good hospitality and said no. Then so rudely replied with 'OK BYE!' So we went across the road to mc Donald's and had much better food and great service. Lol. I have been to many places in my life and this has got to be the worst!!! DO NOT EAT FROM THIS PLACE!!

We always get our take aways from Cardamon Green because its sooo nice i love the chicken Duval, the sauce is to die for... yes its a bit pricey compared to other Indian take aways and you have to go and collect it but believe me its worth it 👌

Food nice enough but watch out for the poppadom scam ours was£28 for 4 pickle trays and 4 baskets of poppadoms for party of 12 just because 3 people said we'll have them .bit of a surprise when asked for £20 for poppadoms 🤔🙄🙄

Great food, good services, nice atmosphere. Never had a bad meal here.

Good curry. Had Sikh kebabs followed by chicken rogan josh and a pint of kingfisher all very tasty and enough curry to take home for next days lunch. Very pleasant surroundings and service made for very enjoyable evening.

Beautifull place staff are great the food delicious. Cant wait to go again.

Service and greeting was good. Starters prawns and cod fine. Curries were flavourless, unsavoury, bland and very poor standard. I will not be revisiting.
