Visited for the first time last week for the daytime Halloween party. I was very impressed - it was a very family friendly atmosphere, they'd really gone all out for the kids which we appreciated. On the whole most staff were warm and friendly and I was pleasantly surprised to find the HPA on cask in excellent condition. Food service is only three evenings a week, 5pm to 8pm so check in advance if you want to eat.

Had a hair in my drink, went to the bar asking for a new drink ( only took 2 sips) scruffy looking bar tender said he wont give me a new drink because it could be my hair. Hair was ginger so was the person behind the bar and i have black hair.

Proper locals pub, good food for the price and friendly atmosphere.

Just popped in for a drink. Don't be off by the rather boring looking outside because inside is very welcoming. The barman was friendly, helpful and efficient and the real ale was excellent.

Great pub, beer kept well and excellently priced food.

The best mixed grill I have ever tasted. All of the food was piping hot and a pure joy to eat. Normally take half of it home as it is such a beast to eat . Have been here 3 times and there is no change in the quality of the food. 11/10 marks for the chef and quality of food.

Do weekly knitting group. Here lovely.

A well kept pint of Real ale and an excellent choice of excellent home cooked food (The Fish & chips) are Soooooo good 👌🍺🍻.

Haven't been in for a while so to say it's much smarter is an understatement....full marks for beer and environment - and England won the cricket 👍🍺👍

Awful staff. They judge you far too quickly. Not a child friendly place. Shame as it’s our local, but utterly disgusted with how we were treated.

Good selection of beer, spirts and gin. Monday, Wednesday and Friday is grill night although the homemade lasagna and beer batter that coats the fish are wonderful. Food is served between from 5pm till 8 pm. Although it would be better to book a table to avoid disappointment. The pub is kept clean and is a friendly place.

Friendly modern pub. Lots of TV screens showing sport if that is your thing. Food available on certain days.

First time eating here, we had heard good reviews so thought we would give it a try, The food was absolutely amazing all fresh and tasty large portions too, would highly recommend giving them a visit, staff were all very friendly we will definitely be visiting again soon

This is a really lovely, friendly pub for all ages. Children are made welcome. A great place to catch up with friends. Drink prices are reasonable too.

Recently visited Their Friday night Grill night. I ordered Sirloin steak which was cooked to perfection. Medium rare. Such fantastic value snd the second meal comes half price. I was really impressed. My steak with chips onion rings peas and egg all for. £9.00. Well done Richard Benting

Great atmosphere! Warm and friendly staff. Just found out they are doing meals at lunch time on a Monday and Friday. If the food is as good as grill nights it will be awesome! Terrific value for money.

Tuesday's and Friday's great Grill Nights. Some of the best steak I have had. Friendly service and nice atmosphere. Can even watch sport if you want to. All Football with the 6 Nations coming up.

This is a great place good selection of beers great grill nights on tuesdays fun days for children and live entertainment .
