Capri Italian Restaurant in Richmond upon Thames

I was deciding whether to order the risotto and asked the jolly Yorkshire waitress where the chef was from (not a rice area as it turned out). Subsequently the owner-manager came over and I tried to speak to him in Italian. Since he didn’t understand, I asked him very politely where he was from. Staggeringly he replied, “Never you mind, I’m far too busy to talk to you.” Which must go down well in chatty, genteel N Yorkshire… If he’s the manager, he should be fired asap, and replaced by the jolly Yorkshire waitress. The food was ok of its not very authentic sort: prawn cocktail; penne with sausage; supermarket ice cream.

A family favourite restaurant for us. Pizzas are fantastic, generous portions all round and lovely friendly service. Only suggestion would be some Vegan options on the menu so we can bring family members when they visit us!

Highly recommend this Restaurant. It’s our local favourite date night spot. The food is always incredible and so reasonably priced! The food is so flavoursome, not bland like so many other Italian style restaurants we’ve been to, and the portions are generous too. The atmosphere is calm and romantic too even when it’s very busy! Service is also 5* you can’t go wrong eating here!

Third time visiting this beautiful restaurant, it's clean and classy. Greeted with a smile from the beginning. Amazing food, fantastic portions and a friendly atmosphere. Easy on the pocket too! Would highly recommend.

What a fantastic restaurant and lovely staff. They were really accommodating when we visited with our dog and made us all feel welcome. Would highly recommend as the atmosphere was great as was the food.

Unplanned lunchtime meals on way back from Masham. Husband had a Zizza pizza, a combination of meats and vegetables on an extra thin and tasty pizza. Oblong in shape. I had chicken fillet cooked in a creamy white wine sauce with leek , mushrooms and garlic, with potatoes and carrots. An excellent meal accompanied by a glass of red wine. Husband had water with his meal. Both beverages were lovely. Owner and staff were friendly and attentive. We felt very much at home. Well worth several visits.

Absolutely disgusting service and food! Waiting staff were very inattentive, and took almost an hour to take our order. Not only was the wait to order appalling, but the wait to be served was even worse! When our food did arrive, it was cold and poorly cooked. The waitress who served us our food was dismissive and mumbled incessantly, I could hardly hear her! Absolutely will not come back!

My husband i have just had dinner at this resturant, in fact its one of our favourite eating places. The seabass was superb well cooked and well presented. The prices are reasonable too. Well worth a visit if you are in Richmond.

Lovely ambient atmosphere the staff were friendly and pleasant . No rush service and the food was beautiful . Ordered steak king prawns and mushrooms in a garlic butter sauce . Well worth visiting .

We’ve just spent a week in Richmond trying most of the restaurants. During weekdays some restaurants seem to want to get you out and to close around 9pm which is a shame. Others had staff who were indifferent and didn’t really want to be there....

We have been for lunch quite a few times, the food is delicious. Everything we have tried has been first class cannot fault it. Garlic mushrooms to die for. Highly recommended
