Cappuccino Cafe Putney in Wandsworth

I have used this cafe for many years and since the proprietor Ali left it seems to have lost it’s way as on a number of occasions they are advertising dishes on their menu which they no longer prepare or have the ingredients for, therefor they need to update the menu to reflect what is currently available. I have also noticed that the sauce bottles they use have broken lids and could potentially be unhygienic.. A tweak here and there would benefit.

We've been coming here from Australia at least once or twice a year when we stay with friends in Putney. Sorry to see Ali is no longer there but his ex partner Ken has it all under control and does a good job. A great full English (plate could be a little bigger) to start the day. If your lucky enough to grab a newspaper from the rack, you can catch all the overnight news before you start the day.

The place look good, but the service was bad ary first. The waitress look miserable. I ordered the Big breakfast. Mushrooms were very old and all the quality of food was very very cheap and greasy with lots of black bits on it. The coffee tasted watery and I ordered a cappuccino. Would never recommend going there again. Not even the ketchup was real. So bloody sad.😭

Cosy, friendly. Food tastes excellent.. It has a theater room which is a lot of fun. But it is hard to find available seats.

This place has been going for years and the reason it keeps going is because it's good. All always pop out from the kitchen to say hi, with a big welcoming smile. I wouldn't go anywhere else for brekkie. No smashed avocados here. Just a great English brekkie.

Great breakfasts and meals throughout the day for less than you can do at home. Charming environment, wonderful service and food to suit every occasion. Nice flavours and drinks for all ages

Cappuccino has been our favorite café in Putney for years, but the changes made during COVID lockdowns are amazing! The expanded menu is delicious and the new rooms make the atmosphere even more relaxing. I've only had good experiences with all of the staff and the owner is engaged and friendly. My favorite part is the new basement theatre. We've not yet been to any of the evening events (music/stand-up comedy/etc.) due to childcare constraints, but we did book the theatre for a karaoke birthday party and it was perfect!! The space was an intimate size without people sitting on top of each other, and the stage and lighting provided a bit of professionalism and glamour to the fun event. The café even provided catering. Love this place!

My sister and I, and our friends, are regulars at Capuccino and always made to feel very welcome. The owners always stop to chat with us and the menu is great - particularly the full fry up breakfasts where you can create your own, or the healthier panini breakfast options. Also, the juices are all fresh and delicious. Whenever our parents come to London they always request that we visit Cappuccino. Since the recent refurbishment, the cafe can only go from strength to strength and we can't wait to go to one of their jazz / art events!!

I visited today but there was almost any ingredients on jacket potato. Practically I paid 10 pound for a plate of potatoes..

Great place, friendly staff, good for working in. Relatively cheap with good food. Central location beside the train station.

After a site visit I went at about 11:30 today to have a meal at the Cappucino Cafe. My first time (I live about a mile away) and I thought the service was excellent, the sausage and mash was very nice and the cup of tea was large and piping hot. The cost of this meal was £8.45 which I thought was very reasonable. The seating and tables were comfortable. Recommended!

Fantasticly run little cafe that does extremely good home cooking on a low budget. Some of the dishes are extremely good restaurant level dishes at an extremely agreeable price. Excellent range of options from English breakfast, baguettes and salads and superb pasta dishes and mezze. Amazingly friendly place filled with locals of all ages and passers by. Totally recommended for a cheap but sophisticated lunch or brunch as well as a hearty breakfast. Highly recommended. Cash only.

We bought two capuchinos and carrot cake but the service was terrible. I think the Caffes must to be a relaxing atmosphere.

We had four coffees, really strong and hot, porridge with lovely fruit, Eggs Benedict, perfectly cooked with excellent ham. Near the station, it was buzzing with locals. Lovely place with very friendly staff.
