Capones in Croydon

Ordered 6 pizzas and garlic bread. Arrived bang on time and they were ALL fantastic!! Best pizza place in the south, Dominoes can go fish.

I picked up a couple of pizzas from Capone's for myself and my g/f. (We could have had them delivered for free, but as it was only ten minutes away I felt like a walk.) We chose a Vegetarian and a Seafood, and were impressed by how generously filled they both were. Tasted very good too. Like they themselves say, "A pizza that you can't refuse'!

Great lunch time deal of a 2 topping medium pizza for £7.99. Went for Ham & Mushroom and it tasted amazing. Only downfall was that the Medium pizza seemed a bit smaller than I’ve got in previous pizza shops. Very tasty pizza however!

I have visited Capones pizza on Saturday for the first time ever and I only wanted to try because of the good reviews.. I can truly say, I will never again spend my money in there due to uncooked potato wedges that cost £4.99, chicken wings was slimy and rubbery and was not worth £4.99. Only good thing was an OK pizza but onions were not cooked properly. It was nothing special to go back and spend nearly £37 for 2 pizza and chicken wings and potato wedges. I called them up and told them my wedges were not cooked properly. Lady took my address to send me new wedges that will be cooked properly. This turned up within 30 minutes after and it still didn’t look cooked enough. Please have a look photo and tell me is this cooked properly and worth £4.99? We didn’t eat the wedges we were waiting on them to give this so they can see. If you closely look the photos onions not cooked Only good thing was about my experience They were friendly people but the food wasn’t nice.

It was sheer delight ordering my pizza from such a happy friendly owner! I went to collect and he was just as jolly in person :) What a difference it makes to a rainy old day! Pizza toppings were very generous and it was steaming hot and cooked to perfection :) THANK YOU CAPONES FOR GREAT FOOD AND SERVICE :)

I’ve had a lot of pizza over the years, and this is an excellent local pizza place. On this side of London, there are very few choices, so Capone’s has always been a place I’ve wanted to try since moving to the area last year. After taking a chance one evening I tried the Godfather on a thin crust. Toppings were packed on, full of taste and flavour, and base was nice. We had an XL size but didn’t feel overly full. Next visit I had a deep pan Fat Man, and whilst the deep pan base was much denser, it was nice and crisp and not too soggy. Again toppings were plentiful and not scrimped on. I also made another pizza with anchovies, capers, olives and pork. So much flavour on this one! 3 pizzas in and I’m hooked. Prices are a bit more than the chains (Dominos being the closest up the road), but you really do get what you pay for. And they do a loyalty card too which is a nice touch, and they deliver. I can’t see why I would ever want to order pizza from anywhere else now. A great local find - support local business! 😊

Very nice pizza in Selsdon for delivery or collection. Only downfall they don’t have a lot of offers like a lot of pizza places do.

Ordered a take away pizza and they were delicious. Had it delivered and when it arrived, it was still hot. The flavours were awesome and the size was huge. Gave this place a 4 star instead of a 5 star simply because the price of the pizza is high. Would order more often if cheaper. But overall, if you want a tasty pizza then this is the only place to order from.

Heavy, soft rubbery base and way too much cheese. expensive too. You will have had better microwaved pizzas

Aloha! I write this review whilst sitting in a 5 star hotel lobby in Hawaii... I had a pizza last night, a Hawaiian pizza... it made me draw comparison to the Hawaiian pizza I regularly get at Capone’s back home. The fact of the matter is there was NO comparison. Capone’s Hawaiian pizza is second to none and I look forward to having one upon my return. RULE BRITANNIA!

Pizzas here have significantly deteriorated, pizzas are not cheap here however have never minded paying the extra when they good, unfortunately this has not been the case the last 4 times each time given the benefit. Pizza very rubbery, delivery took 1 hour 20 but When arrived drinks were warm and pizza was cold didn’t re heat as food was already too rubbery. Ended up throwing away. The pizza quality does not reflect in the prices you charge at present.

No one beats them amazing fully loaded with toppings and you can taste the freshness 😍staff friendly and always welcome you with a smile nothing is to much trouble TOP CLASS

tasty and Well appointed. it was probably my fault that i didnt order a thin crust as we found the normal base a bit gluggy 2 slices and full. Friendly staff and on time delivery for me to pickup in 15 mins ok but a bit far from purley probably try the thin crust next

The best pizza I’ve ever had in Croydon! The crust is delicious and they’re always generous with the toppings. The staff are always friendly and welcoming at the shop as well as very nice and polite delivery men too!

By and far the best takeaway pizza we have ever had. Our go to choice now instead of the usual Dominos etc. And as a bonus their Gluten Free bases are amazing!!!You can usually find a decent deal on their site so it's not too expensive. The pizzas arrive super hot and are jam packed with high quality toppings. It normally arrives way faster than expected as well.Cannot recommend enough, especially to people who want a gluten free pizza!!

I have driven passed this place so many times and had heard it was good but had never stopped. Well today we did. I will never get takeaway pizza from anywhere else again. The toppings were generous and everything looked and tasted fresh. We have four large pizzas for £50 which I think is great value especially as there is loads left for tomorrow.

Although Capone's is slightly more expensive than your usual pizza delivery places, it's definitely worth it. Ordered two thin crust XL pizzas, delivery around 45 minutes, very hot, big enough for two meals each! So much better than your usual. Would definitely order again.

The pizzas are freshly made and they make sure there ingredients on the pizza is so generous we order all the time they never let us down delicious and fresh.

Came across this place by chance and thank goodness I did. Their thin and crispy bases are the best. Toppings are great Delivery service is excellent Nothing else to add, really Check out their website and get some pizza !

Have used this pizza take away for years! The pizzas are good quality and cooked perfectly. The gluten free option is the best around (so my daughter says) and the range of sides is more than enough.

Fantastic food..the only pizza place my family will order from. Polite and pleasant staff and nothing is too much trouble..always have a great meal from here can't recommend this place enough..beats any big pizza chain hands down.

Recommended by a couple of friends and finally got around to trying, so glad we did! Really friendly on the phone, arrived very quickly, delivery chap was so helpful and also gave me a loyalty card (nice surprise).

Great service to my family for over 20 years

food was inedible.. pizza was cold and soggy, toppings were not cooked properly either... wedges were not cooked properly and once again a small portion... even though we ordered a family meal deal... and put in comments about portion size but it was ignored! garlic bread was like chewing a brick! we've been customers for over ten years! but food quality and quantity is just not the same anymore! delivery was early but would rather of had decent food ... we won't be ordering no more as it's just not nice and way over priced for what you get AVOID

Heard good things about this place but I must say I was disappointed pizza didn’t taste great and neither were the plain chicken strips. Considering there more exspensive than dominos and Pizza Hut I don’t see why I would order from them again.

One of if not THE BEST pizza I have ever eaten. Me and my partner got a 15" half and half thick crust and a small 7/8" Vegetarian thin crust for another person, yet shared them all around. Truth be told, we only ordered from here because Dominoes and Pizza Hut weren't delivering due to the weather, and I'm so glad they wasn't because I don't think I'll be going back there. Capones pizza' s are a revelation. Maybe I haven't tried enough pizza places, but I've moved around the country and I'm struggling to find one other place which stacks up against it. The ingredients they use are of top quality, you can tell when you take your first bite that everything is fresh. If I could rate it higher, I would.

Food arrived early,but it was by far the worst takeaway I have ever ordered... sorry to be blunt, but it was vile. The pizza was sloppy and cold, chicken was cold, there was no dip and the garlic bread was so greasy it was inedible... needless to say the whole lot went in the bin... I am shocked that you can still get takeaways that deliver food of such a low standard. I am not one to complain, but I actually now regret not ringing the restaurant and feeding back straight away. I have now gone to bed hungry!

Capones has the best gluten free pizza I have found so far, it doesn’t taste like cardboard and they have anchovies too! Always my go to for takeout pizza.

I have been ordering from Capone's for over a year, the pizza is a little pricey but in my view this is more than compensated for by the sheer volume of toppings. Definitely go for the deep pan base as it just tastes so delicious.

Capones pizza are far superior to dominoes . There not stingy with their toppings and it just tastes so good. I highly recommend this takeaway to all.

Literally inedible. Cheap cheese, very stringy. Heard very good things but i am disappointed. There was BBQ sauce in the either sauce or in the base and it was so bad. 10/10 Dont recommend.

Very pricy for quality and portions received, different item delivered. Very disappointed I had to order again from dominos as I have left with family hungry after spending almost £40. Dominos offer much better quantity and quality for half the price that these Capines guys. Never again!!!

Great pizza, loaded with fresh ingredients. However didn't notice my asking for no olives and salad was a bit bland. Despite this, highly recommend and will be ordering again from there

Having ordered from here before I know the pizza's are fantastic. Only issue this time was missing drink although after phone call was redelivered. And ordered with a delivery time eta as 45 mins but actually came within 20 mins...not usually a problem but this time I was in bath. Excellent pizza good value friendly service.

I've been coming here for years, really well hand made "non-greasy" pizzas. Always full of flavour, and very friendly helpful staff. If you haven't tried a capones pizza, I would recommend it to anybody.

I have to say im very disappointed in tonights meal gents, pizza looked like it had gone through a washing machine, the wedges were cold and the wings under cooked. Not the normal service i tend to receive from one of the best pizza places in the area. I won't let this sway me from ordering again but guys lets try and stay on top of things. a very loyal customer.
