I had the pleasure of going to Capital Restaurant in Hammersmith recently. It was decently packed after work but still had some space for us to sit. Me and my party ordered the House Spe cial. We were told that it wouldn't fill all of us but we're pleasenty surprised when we couldn't finish it. It was flavourful and the meat was delicious. If I had some criticisms, I would say the service was a bit disappointing as we would ask for certain things such as water, and not receive them until much later, having to ask another 2 times. I completely understand that it was busy with orders, however, just wish that it could be better. Nevertheless, highly recommend this place if your in the mood for Mediterranean cuisine.

Excellent, lamb shank, rice, vegetables, hot flat bread, salad and jajik to die for all for the price of z burger and chips. Can't go wrong, highly recommend, I'm definitely coming back.

Shared a very nice mixed grill here, there was plenty of food for everyone, it was well cooked, had great flavours, and the staff looked after us.

The food taste was good but the waitress seemed to be a little upset i wonder why but then it showed at work and her service made the restaurant look bad and made us upset, maybe she was tired or something being. A weekend but then again we always expect politeness and happy face while we go to eat in a restaurant… overall i would say, it’s value for money for family combinations, the food taste was nice, service needs to improve should be more polite and respectful.

My partner and I had the misfortune of dining at this establishment on October 23, 2024, between 10 pm and midnight, and our experience was nothing short of disastrous. After just a few bites, we could tell something was not right with the food. Within hours, both my partner and I began experiencing severe symptoms of food poisoning, including vomiting, diarrhoea, and excruciating muscle aches. To make matters worse, the effects of the food poisoning have been ongoing for the past 14 hours, resulting in us missing work and feeling utterly miserable. We are utterly disappointed in this restaurant for their lack of food safety standards and are questioning their overall hygiene practices. If anyone else visited this restaurant during the same timeframe mentioned above and has experienced similar symptoms, please share your experience and let us know. It is crucial that this establishment takes responsibility for their actions and implements better practices to avoid causing harm to their customers in the future. Overall, we cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone and will not be returning. Our advice is to avoid this establishment if you value your health and well-being.

Tried this restaurant for the first time when visiting Hammersmith before going to the Apollo. We had the falafel with rice and and the lamb & chicken with rice. It came with salad and warm pitta and garlic dip. Fast and friendly service, fresh and tasty food, big portions..Would definitely recommend and will be returning in the future.

My husband and I stopped here for lunch before going to the Lyric Theatre on Saturday afternoon. We haven't been to Hammersmith for decades and a lot has changed. This is the first time we've encountered Capital Restaurant and I've got to say the food was absolutely wonderful. My husband had chicken donor and mixed rice, I had the chicken beyti with mixed rice. I had half and I have the other half saved for me to take to work tomorrow. There's no way I'm leaving that loveliness behind. Fantastic food, very well flavoured, good sized portions. Lovely polite staff too. Shame they're so far from us in Croydon. We'll definitely visit next time we're in the area.

The quality of the chicken shish here is top tier. Had it with rice/couscous and it came with a big salad separate and some fresh made tahini sauce and fresh hot sauce. Proper Turkish food as it should be. Good quality meat and healthy without all the grease. Good portion size too

10/10 would highly recommend to anyone

My rather expensive takeaway falafel wrap (£9.80) was very soggy, loosely wrapped and not cut in half. It was a bit of a mess. Felt like a lack of care went into it.

Everything was perfect but the Ezme salad wasn’t what it should be! It was the first time I tried it and it was basically a tomato and red onion salad. £5.50 was a waste of money. I could make better at home. Also the kofta had too many rubbery fat in it. Kofta should be just meat and spices.

One of my favourite Turkish places I always go there and I always take my friends in there groups is good amazing food always consistent clean tidy and very good prices

It's not a Turkish restaurant. None of the employees speaks Turkish. There is no hygienic environment.

I'm not too used to the British kebab scene, but the lamb kebabs at this place taste like real lamb, which is a step up from what we usually get in the states.

Kind of a fast food place with delicious food and friendly staff. I got a lamb, aubergine, potato and tomato stew with spiced bulgar and bread to take away. Delicious and a big portion!

This Turkish restaurant is awful. I went there with my kids and in-laws. The waitress was very rude (blonde Turkish woman), she made fun of us for asking for pizza and she started shouting due to the kids noise. Children make noise - get over it! The food was below average and the restaurant was not very clean in my view. I would not recommend this place.

This is a great restaurant. The atmosphere is lovely and staff are super friendly and accommodating. We had the grilled vegetables with rice and bulgar. So delicious! They make tasty salads and their flat bread and chilly, garlic sauces are devine. Highly recommend this place. Great value for money as the portions are generous and filling.

Food cold and they miss part of the order

I'm ordering chicken that come with rice and salad. It was good with reasonable price. The staff are friendly and welcoming. It close to my hotel. Would Def come back for quick one again next time.

Great food and great service. Staff were extremely attentive. The food arrived quickly but was not rushed when making. Fries were hot, straight out of the fryer. Baklava was delicious and a perfect way to end the meal, along with a cup of Turkish tea.

The food is nice. I always get the chicken shawarma. The service is poor. Last time I was there it was a young man that give me the order and I asked without bread, he put bread and asked him to removed it he was giving me a nasty attitude as if he was paying for my order and I had to take whatever he gives me. Shame as the kebab is quite nice, but with this service I rather stop going to this place.

Ended up here after a night out at well past midnight. Very busy and decided to sit in. Great move as I hate eating out of container. Food was amazing , had the Adana and the mixed doner between two of us. Top quality, great service, salad was super fresh and the meat cooked to perfection. Looks like any kebab place from the outside but don’t be misled this is a great place with care given to the food. Had a lovely baklava on leaving as well. Good value as well for London. Portions were massive. Nice one guys. Can’t understand the poor reviews? Make no mistake this place is as good as you can get especially late at night. Thanks !

Been in London 20+ years, haven't had a kebab the last 6-8 years so was rusty ordering. Couldn't have been happier with my lamb doner from these guys. Beside myself with delight.

This is incredibly expensive for very small portion sizes. I am very confused by the other reviews, maybe portions/prices have changed recently but I have just been here and charged £8 for 4 small falafel. Most expensive falafel I have ever seen in my life by a long long way. Would advise going elsewhere.

Turkish Pizza Lahmuca was delicious with the garlic sauces. The lady was absolutely amazing 10/10. The inside is absolutely stunning with new interior! You won’t be disappointed.

Dirty and poor service. We took my son and his friends here after jiujitsu practice and the price was extortionate for one kebab and chips each. The chips was cold and they had ran out of ketchup in a fast food cafe, can you believe it?! Better go to GDK on King street where you will be treated like a King to authentic kebab for a good price.

Thank you to the staff at this hidden gem. The food was delicious and generous. The staff only too happy to assist. Our meal here was the perfect end to a day spent on retail therapy.

4 stars because it is halal first, then because the employees are friendly. I asked him for a meal for 3 people for 37 pounds, a quarter of which is cream cheese bread. In the bread, there are worthy varieties, and the prices are somewhat high. In general, it is enough that it is halal and the employees are friendly, and God is Most High and Most Knowing, and the prices increase over the years, and praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds.

The food and service is quite good.

I went there with me and my dad on his bike and we parked it right outside the restaurant. The food was really nice and it was extremely filling. This filled me up and I was just halfway through and it took a lot to fill me up. We got the chicken and mixed doner and both tasted lovely. Would highly recommend to those who are nearby.

I have been going to capital for years , but it is so nice to get their lovely food delivered and it is still as FANTASTIC, just makes a change to get something delivered and NOT to be disappointed , it was hot fresh and delicious unlike other local deliveries, we will definitely go back but just wanted to share as they deserve a great review for freshness and food standard even with delivery

I sometimes go to eat in this restaurant, never had a problem. It was always okay, However before last time a waiter who works over there was serving me in a unwilling way, although i was always polite and nice, when i asked for the bill she brought it and just threw it over the table like very unprofessional and unpleasant. She is white , black hair and looks like middle eastern, not a tall lady. anyway. Until that it was okay for me maybe she just had a bad day, that was before my last experience. The last time was about the food, i asked for a mixed shishi and it was fine till when i found a piece of glass inside my salad. I was eating and it was already in my mouth the piece of glass, luckily i didn’t swallow it otherwise at this time i could be dead. Now I’m wondering if it was an accident or on purpose. What’s the chance to find a piece of glass into your food? So i went to the cashier and let him know , he was very polite and ask me sorry. After this i’m not coming back over there.

Unfortunately lamb shawarma was the worst I had so far. So chewy and fatty. I paid almost £10 for small takeaway and half of portion was filled with gone off salad and bulgarwheat rice was liquidy. Quality dropped immensely however prices went up. Not visiting again.

Very very disappointing. Had a chicken Donner carved fresh off the spike thing and was really surprised how greasy and tasteless it was. Plenty of chicken in it but that was flavourless, salad options ok, but criminally no pickles offered, no choice of sauces and nearly £10 for something that wasn't even worth finishing. Even went home and added some ketchup to make it taste better! I won't be going back I'm afraid.

£18.50 for tough and chewy pieces of meat. First time I've seen rocket in a salad for a mix grill. Garlic sauce and chilli sauce was bland and watery. Understand That your location is expensive and busy but it was bad.

Don't let the harsh lighting put you off. While we were there we saw the freshest of ingredients being used, the food tastes amazing and is possibly one of the cheapest eating places in the area. Very generous portions. Friendly staff too.

In the area for a concert & stumbled on this little restaurant. Whilst the decor is basic but clean, the food & service was excellent. All served quickly, piping hot, & of a really good standard. Great sized portions & very much value for money. They brought sauces, bread, & salad to start. All fresh & very tasty. Then we had mixed shish kebabs. The lamb & chicken were chargrilled exactly right & tender to the cut. The servers were excellent & friendly & kept asking if more bread or sauces were required. No service charge added but more than willing to put that right & present the server with a tip. I'd definitely go back in a shot.

Wow. I had the lamb shank and bulgar wheat. You also get salad, bread and tzatziki with it too. A lot of food for the price. Very nice food, staff and atmosphere. Highly recommend. Best Turkish food I've had since I was in Turkey.

I honestly love this restaurant I go every week the prices are good and the food is amazing especially if you like meat it’s perfect for you you get an appetiser and baklava with tea at the end and that included with the food that you get and the service is amazing the workers are nice and service tax isn’t included highly recommend

Just came across this restaurant by chance. Gave it a try and found the food to be amazing. Not expensive, incredible quality, huge portions, friendly staff. What more could you want. I am vegetarian and had a huge choice. My wife eats meat and had a huge choice. Will definitely return next time we are in the area.
