Cape in Tower Hamlets

Utiliza este lugar para ver Fútbol Liga de Campeones como el lugar más cercano a mi hotel mostrando el juego. Bastante vacío, así que no hay ambiente, con personal desconectada, media y tv con comida de pub una imagen tan mala que pensé había nieve en el campo (no la había!).

Si quieres una hamburguesa y una cerveza, este es el lugar adecuado, el interior del pub no es anodino y cansado, pero las cervezas son decentes, y la comida está perfectamente bien. Tienen una zona de estar al aire libre relativamente grande que por desgracia está monopolizada por los fumadores.

Las comidas son generalmente bien - para un 'capricho' que probé el scampi y's Steak 'surf and turf' viendo el cricket en su buen sistema de pantalla. Los scampi estaba bien y esta vez las patatas fritas eran una buena parte, pero la cadera??!! Fue correctamente tamaño inusual pero llegó en dos piezas - me hacían ruido siete bocados pero tuve que salir cada uno en el plato porque estaba demasiado duro (que finalmente creó una pila" en la placa). El cricket terminó justo lo que me pasó con la carne, así que elegí era negado a irse sin decir nada hasta ver el director quizás el próximo día. Cuando me fui, vi el comentario en otra pantalla y vi a un miembro del personal de tomar el plato y darse cuenta de que el director estaba sentado en la mesa de al lado y ciertamente han visto los restos en mi plato. Fui a hablar con ella y ella dijo 'ah, pensé que había dejado, bien, hay que ir! Te sugiero que no te arriesgues el bistec si visita - y ciertamente no espera ningún interés del director.

Un pub decente con un 'pub clásico menú de grub. Buenos sandwiches, hamburguesas y una gran cigalas y patatas fritas. Un precio razonable, con un buen servicio. También hay un montón de televisores diseminados alrededor, así que usted puede mantenerse al día con el deporte. Hay un montón de mesas al aire libre para cuando el clima es un poco más caliente.

Habiendo trabajado en Thomas More Plaza por más de cuatro meses, hoy hemos decidido visitar para el almuerzo.

La comida es buena y a un precio razonable.

We use this pub because it is convenient - decor is tired and uninspiring but food is great for lunch and excellent value for money! We arrive in a large forum and they manage to get the order right and cooked quickly.

Recientemente estuve en este pub/restaurante para una fiesta contar. Tuvimos muy buen servicio en todo el hotel. El servicio, entonces por encima y más allá cuando un par de los huéspedes pidió comida después de que la cocina había cerrado. Después el gerente muy amablemente preparado algo de comida ella a pesar de que el chef ya había dejado. Esto es lo que separa un establecimiento normal a uno que realmente importa. Yo recomendaría.

Un servicio excelente de la señora del bar hoy en día; sin embargo, la comida era normal. 6 Libras por un pequeño plato de nachos no es aceptable. Las patatas era la mejor opción, ya que era el Rose. -bastante limitado de cerveza, que es lamentable, ya que teníamos muchas esperanzas para este lugar mientras se aloja cerca. Volveremos a entenderse con uno y lechuga de ahora en adelante.

Vine aquí por primera vez la noche pasada {el miércoles, 25 de marzo} con un buen amigo que es un local. Es muy tranquilo en aquí por un enorme pub, pero el personal y los clientes. Nos topamos con otros amigos, que son locales aquí también, y que se reúnen este es el tipo de pub donde todo el mundo tipo de conoce. También tienen mesas de billar. Genial! Volveremos.

We have visited St. Katherines Dock loads of times over the years but only discovered this bar this summer. But now we have have visited several times whilst going to see the 'Poppies at the Tower'. It's a large bar with a good menu. We've been as a couple and with groups of friends and have eaten loads off the menu but our favourites seem to be typically English good pub food. The fish and chips are great and the burgers are first rate.There is always a good choice of ales and the bar staff are very informative about them and friendly but who cares about that as long as there's a choice of nice chilled wines. The hardest thing is finding the bar on Trip Advisors website to put the review on!

I have lived in this area for 2 years and must say that every time i have walked past this pub I can't believe that there is such a yobish pub in such a nice areaI did give it a try in the pub when it was really quiet and have to say that the staff don't seem to act much better and are quite rude :-(They should have their licence reviewed Nicole

Not that busy when theres no sport - means good service.. only reason to go back.. Good value when they have their offers..

As city bars go its never really had a heyday but its always been good for a few drinks after work or that leaving drink with an older crowd that not want to continue to the early hours of the morning. What this bar is good for is watching sports, they have screens throughout the whole venue so you can almost anywhere and still be inline of sight of a TV. The platters on offer are really not bad but we order three of the same platter throughout the evening and each time we received something slightly different? I mentioned it to the lady behind the bar and just received a blank look, later in the evening we received another platter compliments of the management and apologies for the confusion.Atmosphere is good when there is some sporting event on .. football, rugby etc. but on a normal day it's a bit quite.

Went out for a work lunch at this place as we had been once before and had no troubles.However, this time, a blonde woman behind the bar was incredibly rude to us, refusing to let us pay separately for our meals and insisting that one person had to pay the whole bill. Her attitude was completely unprofessional, indicating towards the girl who was on the till and saying 'You can't just come up here and tell her what you had! She can't stand there going through all this...one of you has to pay for everything!' This was not possible as some of us didn't have cash, as we hadn't realised this would be a problem since we had been before and a lovely waitress had happily taken our payments. You could tell by her attitude that she had suspected we would want to pay separately and had been waiting to 'pounce', rather than come over to inform us that we would be required to pay in one transaction, so we could have sorted something out. As it was, my colleague had to pay the whole bill on his own card.We would have been happy to order & pay at the bar individually if we had been advised to, but the staff told us to sit down and a waitress said it would be easier if she took our order at the table (incedentally, the lady who served us was very nice). Given that Cape is in a primarily corporate area and most of their customers must be groups of colleagues, I highly doubt that there are many tables where only one person pays for the whole group. Not to mention that the place was nearly empty when we attempted to pay, so it's not like taking individual payments would have affected any other customers, or made them wait.The food was also not great - very few vegetarian options.Definitely not recommended.

I live nearby and often visit for the cheapness and quick service of their special offer lunches. Recently, they organised an evening drinks 'get together' very well for me. Football fans seem to enjoy the matches on TV and I love watching the cricket there. I do wonder if the owners have a problem due to the size of the place- it must be very expensive to run such huge premises with the present formula. It will be another several years before the planned major development comes on stream across the road, so I do hope they can justify the current footage, or will maybe consider downsizing to better utilize some of the space. The place deserves success- I wish it well!

Pub food with no atmosphere. Order and pay at the bar. Quiet on a Sunday evening, better within two blocks.
