The Only Chinese I ever take away. Delicious !

We have always loved this chinese since I lived in the area years back. Now the service is just perfect, on time and cooked to perfection! The egg fried rice was slightly flavourless hence 4 stars and chips are slightly overcooked and always loads of little hard chips not much potato to the chip.

Friendly staff. Good flavour and cooked nicely. Salt and Pepper King prawns are nice, broccoli in oyster sauce is really good, salt and pepper chips could have had more flavour, crispy shredded beef let it down a bit because the sauce is a bit watery which left me with mostly shredded soggy beef.

Order from here nearly twice a month. They’re not on Just East or food hub, but they do pick up and delivery. The food is excellent. I’ve had most of the menus and preferred separately and everything is good.

Absolutely lovely Chinese food never had a bad one and great value for money

First time using this takeaway and we were really impressed. Very good value, tasty food and generous portions. Definitely now going to be out goto place if this first experience continues.

Ordered from every Chinese takeaway in the area until I thought I’d found one that ticked most of my boxes and have been using Cantonese kitchen on a fairly regular basis until my last order, rang dead on 5 as son was hungry, was told the order would be 45 mins to an hour which was usual, 20 mins later the doorbell rang, no way was any of the items cooked from scratch and you could tell, they had been blasted in the microwave and for that I’ll no longer be using it or recommending it to others.

I have recently tried this takeaway and I have come back so many times since! The food is amazing (especially the ones in the Chefs specials section) and the price is great for a student like me.

We were extremely impressed. The food quality, speed, and price were so much better than any other Chinese we have had anywhere in Norwich. We went to collect and they were so friendly. I never leave reviews but immediately said I needed to give a good review 😂

What can I say the food is delicious, properly seasoned and their traditional menus section offers some great dishes. I love the stir fried aubergine 🍆 with chilli pork mince! Delivery is reliable for us it usually takes around an hour. It's a little traditional in its appearance, and you may be served by a young man, but trust me he is good at his job and the service is effective!.

Food is lovely very tasty. would be a 5* rating but we are just over 3 miles away and was charged £4 for delivery which I think is a bit much especially when we usually order over £30+ worth of food, and especially when after an hour we had to ring and find out when are order would be arriving as was told 45 minutes. But as I said food is always good 👍

It’s been over 30 years since I’ve had a takeaway from the Cantonese Kitchen. I’m happy to say our food was good, not too greasy and very fresh. Delivery was prompt, within the hour they had quoted and it was very reasonably priced.

Brilliant value and really lovely food. I ordered set menu F which had BBQ spare ribs, crackers, 1 & half large portions of special fried rice, sweet & sour chicken and sweet & sour chicken balls, duck in plum sauce and beef in black bean. With the extra 12 chicken balls it came to £33. Only problem website says they accept card but they are cash only. I will definitely be back.

Terrible customer service (sounds like a child answering the phone) last few times the food hasnt been as nice as it used to be even cold to the point of touch when I picked up which it shouldn’t be! Last minute order today thought we would see if improved and they said it would be an hour which was understandable as busy…1hour 50 mins later still nothing ring to get told they will call driver …nothing back! Ring again to cancel it and yet the driver turns up 15 mins later 👋

Banging place fair prices food is good delivery takes bit long only downside

The food from here always arrives on time (or before), hot, tasty and beautifully prepared. When we moved we were so happy that we were still within delivery range! They are always polite and friendly too. 5 stars just isn't enough, they're food is delicious! If you haven't tried it I highly recommend it! Every other Chinese takeaway I've had just doesn't match up, tried several in Norwich, Wymondam and Mulbarton, this place wins hands down. Really can't recommend it enough! Just please don't hog the line when I'm trying to order!! =)

Very bad experience. 2 hours waiting for food. I had to give up waiting for the food. Not worth at all specially when there several places with higher quality and better service.

We are very pleased to have found this place during a recent visit to Norwich. Most of the dishes that we ordered were spot on. The black bean beef was delicious and went so well with egg fried rice. The squid and the prawns were well cooked too. Portion sizes could be more generous, hence the 4 star rating.

First cantonese takeaway I ever used since moving to Norwich and still the only one I continue to frequent even though I have moved further away from it, super friendly and helpful staff that go above and beyond in special requirements, delicious, good quality and substantial portions at a very reasonable price, varied and large menu to chose from, highly recommended

We have used this place for years but I think it has changed owners?! not the same great service and it doesn’t taste as good as it used to. They have messed up our orders a couple of times now and they didn’t bother rectifying it so I think it’s time to go somewhere else now.

Food was quite nice but their ordering process is a lot to be desired. When you place your order they don't take your name nor give your an order number which proved chaotic when we returned as they got our order wrong. They were reluctant to accept they got the order wrong and were almost argumentative about it. I had to try and remember when I placed the order for them to check what I ordered versus what they provided. Only at the very end did they apologise for the error but the apology was begrudgingly given... Would not use the take away again!

This's ​the 2nd day that I chose this restaurant for my dinner. As you can see that yesterday my sister reviewed this restaurant. Today I ordered 19. spare ribs with syrup 28. crispy chilli sheded​ beef 38. Roasted duck with plum sauce 49. Roasted pork fried rice 53. Roasted duck fries rice 161. Salt and pepper squid 204. Banana fritter in syrup19. spare ribs with syrup all was delicious. I really like the staff here, he's very friendly and nice.

Nice chinese takeaway restaurant! It's a very cheap and reasonable price. Food is testy but szechuan sauce is a bit too sweet for me but it's ok.

My partner and I have been ordering from here for about 3 years,the first year pretty much every Friday night. We have never had a bad dish, ever, it's always spot on. We order these items; chicken balls, sweet chilli chicken, egg or chicken fried rice, rice noodles with either chicken, beef or pork, peking ribs, crispy seaweed and they usually give us prawn crackers free if we order over a certain amount. The noodles are absolutely delicious, especially with pork. Sweet chilli chicken the perfect level of heat and a good ratio of meat to batter. The chicken balls are always perfectly cooked and the rice is perfect, not too dry and not too greasy. Our only tiny complaint is, although the peking ribs are very tasty, they used to he big ribs and now they're riblets. We'd rather have the big sized ones. Aside from that little issue we cannot fault this place at all, it's our absolute favorite. Customer service from phone to the delivery person is also really great.

I've been using Cantonese kitchen as my go to Chinese takeaway since I was 9 months pregnant with my eldest son, nearly 28 years ago! I had a duck curry and it was delicious. I still think they are the best providers of Chinese food in Norwich and if they ever close my heart will break.

Worse Chinese I’ve ever had, the sauce on the peanut satay chicken was a solid lump and tasted of flour and dirt mixed together. Would recommend the boiled rice as it was mostly edible.

Been using this place for years and always found it very reliable for a more authentic fresh tasting Chinese food but this time it was disappointing and everything tasted too sweet and over cooked. Almost like it’s a totally different chef or new owners? I hope this is just a blip but it has knocked my confidence and would think twice before ordering again.

The food is fantastic, and the portion sizes are great. We can't get enough of the salt and pepper chicken wings. Sorely missed during the lock down.

The best Chinese takeaway in Norwich, I routinely treat myself to a trip to this place when I visit home, the fried rice is unbeatable and I have yet to have fried rice anywhere else that can do better. The staff are always friendly, the only downside is payment is cash only, or at least it was the last time I was there. But getting the money out of the bank to have some of the best Chinese you will ever have is worth it!

I have visited this place a few times, and the food has always been great. The broccoli with garlic and oyster sauce was great, as were the prawn balls, although I think there was a little room for improvement with the sweet and sour sauce - it was too sweet for my taste. I couldn't find an online menu for the place but they have all the typical chinese dishes you would expect - chow mein, foo yung, sweet and sour, and lots of friend rice and specials. Service was fast - we had time to read about three newspaper stories and then it was ready!

I have been coming here for our chicken curry for a couple of years but recently the chicken curry has tasted really bad with the chicken being so rubbery that at one time the family refused to eat it! Time to try a new establishment I think!

We tried this for the first time after reading all the good reviews and I can safely say it doesn't disappoint!Staff were helpful and polite, they also told us 45min - 1 hour and it arrived in 30mins, so so far so good. I almost ordered extra sauce as I hate dry Chinese but there was lots of sauce and I've never seen so much chicken in a sweet and sour dish! Everything was tasty, hot and not too greasy. Would highly recommend.

Taste good but it was a bit dry.

The reviews of this takeaway were so good I thought I’d try it. Unfortunately the starters were good but the mains were glutinous made with poor quality chicken and for me un-eatable. This the only Chinese main from a takeaway I have not been able to eat in my life. I am not that fussy but it was terrible. The reviews on here do not match up to my experience at all. .

Definitely the best in Norwich I used to use east on Colman road, but not as good as Cantonese kitchen! Keep up the good work xxx

The employees here are always so nice and accommodating! I am vegan and it’s sometimes difficult to find food I can eat, but Cantonese Kitchen are happy to modify menu items to make them suitable for me. They open at 5:00pm most evenings, and my husband and I passed by at 4:45pm, peeked in and they happily served us. The rice is delicious! And the prices are very reasonable as well! All in all, it’s a great choice for dinner!

I have ordered from here many times. As others have said the food has been consistently good and the front of house staff are very pleasant and polite. One time i asked for no prawn crackers, and they popped some fortune cookies in my bag instead. :) Highly recommended .

I think that i have had food from well over 300 different Chinese takeaways.This is by far the best.The quality of the food is incredible,and they always give you maximum ingredients(whether meat or vegetables) and never ever cost cut by overloading the dish with gravy.They are so generous in every way. The taste of the food is awesome,and the person who takes my order is so impeccably polite,as is the person who delivers my food. This is probably one of the best Chinese takeaways in the entire country. Nearest two Chinese takeaways were closed for holidays so plumped for Cantonese Kitchen. Excellent food; promptly delivered; good portion sizes; courteous staff. They forgot the prawn crackers in the order but weren’t really needed anyway! Price also very reasonable. Will use again.

Lovely food everytime. The fact Cantonese kitchen isn't on any online ordering sites speaks for itself. The crispy chilli beef is the best I've ever had.

We have had a bad run of bad Chinese food recently, so are trying others local-ish to us. I rang up at around 6pm on a Saturday night and after a couple of tries got through. The lady took my order very quickly, got it all correct and said it would be 10-15 minutes. The food was good, not the best we've ever had, but tasty, freshly cooked and piping hot when we got it home. Around £35 for 4 of us for 4 mains so average price. Would use again

nonetheless very good - am very fussy when it comes to Chinese food as they tend ti bulk dishes out with peas and onions but this was really authentic and not greasy. Was a bit cautious as to what I ordered as have never tried food here before but definitely going to have big order on the May Bank Holiday weekend.

Not the cheapest of Chinese takeaways but this is definitely reflected in the quality. Lovely fresh tasting food. And they have tofu! Friendly helpful staff unfazed by making adjustments to some dishes to make them suitable for vegans.

Never waited longer than 40 minuets, it's always really hot and the portions are always big, and the food really is incredible. Love this place no where in Norwich for Chinese food is better :)
