Not the usual Cantonese Express food that I am used to the quality and taste wasn’t there and I am so sorry to say this because I have loved their food for years. The delivery service on the other hand was 10/10 hopefully next time I will enjoy the food.

Wasn’t happy with it to be honest I was really disappointed with the fact I only got two prawns in the food and the rest of the stuff wasn’t worth the money I would appreciate it if I could get some of the money back I did try and call the restaurant yesterday when I received the food but I got no answer I ended up putting the food in the bin I will not be ordering anything from there

I asked for no vegetables but I still received my order with vegetables, had to wait over an hour after I ordered it.

I cannot emphasis the disappointment every time I order to be given BIOLED RICE a Chinese is NOT a Chinese without fried rice I constantly put in comments I want fried rice and NEVER get it I have started looking at other place to order because of this issue

Open plan kitchen allows customers to observe cooking, and cooks are attentive to quality. It was a little expensive compared to competitors, but service was courteous and food moreish. Definitely recommended for a Chinese takeaway

the food was incredible, especially the chicken yuk sung and the house special in black pepper sauce. the duck chow mein was also so so good. thank you so much. the complimentary drink and crackers were really appreciated. we will definitely be ordering again soon. thank you again!!

We visited yesterday had prawn balls and toast with rice and ribs. Ribs where dry. We have diarrhoea & slight vomiting through the night. the food prawn balls tasted very soapy wasn’t impressed. Don’t waste ya money here

Ordered from here this evening for the first time and it is absolutely outstanding. The food is super fresh and delicious. Perfectly seasoned and the portions were amazing. I highly recommend switching to this takeaway from your usual as it’s so so worth your money.

King prawn fried toast best in brum hands down

Been eating from here as long as I can remember, litt years, went thru just eat for obvious convenience but was in shock when called up and was told no free prawn crackers regardless of the £36 I spent, only for walk ins and phone orders I was told. Why I asked and the answer was cuz of the price just eat cost them, I'm sorry but your prices are higher on just eat then in store so that shud cover your costs right, why take away part of the experience of ordering a Chinese by removing/charging for prawn crackers, just cheap and the lady in phone was so rude, I won't be ordering here again, food was bland aswell tbh

Delivery was an hour and a half , even though it’s only a 7 minute drive ?!!! The food was absolutely horrid. The rice tasted off and nothing like Chinese rice , I was nearly sick. The only DECENT thing was spring rolls but it’s 3 for nearly £3 which is outrageous. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!!

They only get 1 star as they returned money, took over 1 and half hours despite being told 30-40 mins then when I called after 45 mins, I was told within the hour. Then didn’t arrive for over hour +half, food was appalling and totally tasteless, (except the distinct taste of salt throughout all dishes, including the curry) There website puts on a good appearance, but doesn’t represent the food quality, taste and service

Majority of food was already cold and they did not give cutlery which was a terrible issue with my order last night, this is because I was in a hotel and they did not have and cutlery. So I specifically asked for cutlery but they did not include them. Unhappy with order and I wish for a refund.

The Pepsi was missing and the diver drove off before I noticed. The delivery time was quicker than scheduled which was great.

Ordered Singapore chow mein and it was tasteless and over priced. I also ordered a hot and sour soup was literally boiled veg and an oxo cube with chilli in it, disgusting food. Go at your own risk.

The staff are polite and welcoming. They have the best lemon honey chicken I've EVER had. The rice is really light and doesn't sit heavy. The sauces are beautiful, and the food is deffo cooked with love. I try to order something different every time I order knowing I will like whatever they cook. I highly recommend

The sauce tasted weirdly sweet and there was no heat to it (hardly any black pepper). There was more onion and carrot than chicken and overall disliked it. Will not order again. The fried rice was okay.

All meals met my expectations except for the sweet and sour mixed veg.

The king prawn fried rice was really nice and tasted like the authentic cuisine. My order was delivered early and the lady I spoke to on the phone assured me of that. The food was hot and I will order again!

Cantonese Express never fails. Food tastes fresh, it’s nice and hot on arrival, it does take a bit long to arrive. However, good food takes time. I think they could lower the prices though as it’s a bit expensive .

Food nice. Meals was lovely. The driver was a nice man and always so polite and apologised about my last meal which was missing few months before. I actually was sorry to hear how his wages was effected due to me having a refund on my missing item. This man needs a pay rise !!! His a lovely driver shame more drivers aren’t like him. We had a delivery tonight. The delivery driver always a pleasure to see. Only bad comment I could make about our order was spent 42 pounds and was surprised to never get no crackers. We didn’t order any as usually when spend over certain amount you’ll get free crackers. So that was a disappointment for us. Food was nice tho as usual just know you will not get free crackers even with orders nearly 50 pounds. That’s why we left 1 star ⭐️ off.

I used to buy the Singapore fried rice and spare ribs before I moved away from Birmingham. On visiting today, I decided to try it again BUT I wish I hadn’t wasted my time and resources. Food quality was poor, tasteless and soggy!

Never ordered here before. But thoroughly enjoyed it. Pregnant and needed some nice food. Prawn crackers we’re a bit yellow not sure why but the actual food was beautiful. Loved it all thank you so much Cantonese express. 5 ⭐️ on everything will definitely be ordering again. And delivery driver was nice , even if he made me collect it from car 😂 seemed a nice polite man. No disappointment over here. 😋 😋

The chicken is not fresh , the spring roll is soggy and greasy

The chicken was really chewy had to bin it and the rice was salty couldn’t eat none of it and this is my regular Chinese shop so don’t know what happened today but I definitely wasted my money

the prawn toast is grand, but the chow mein has that cigarette smoky flavour... and the bottle of water was opened with water missing so... yeah in a pandemic i think i'll leave that...

Ordered curry and rice, chips. The curry had escaped from the container and majority of it was in the bottom of the carrier bag. Inedible unless you scooped the food out the bag with a spoon! Unfortunately this tarnished my opinion and I can’t comment on what the food was like.

Food is expensive for what you get. Pork chow mein - average. Sweet and sour chicken- small portion but good. Would recommend Spring rolls- Very oily and burnt.

Food was lovely but the portion size is small for the price you’re paying is a little expensive for what it is. But was lovely just the size was slightly disappointing. Either add more food or lower the prices a little.

We love the Cantenese Express, the food is out standing, they are very very friendly. And they get to know what you like after a while. We haven't gone elsewhere for years now 😃

Lovely food as always and friendly staff in the take away - haven’t visited my local Cantonese in some time, but they still are by far the best!

Let down again asked for fried rice and got boiled was told they would get us fried rice delivered ASAP still waiting a hour later!!!! All food is now freezing

Disappointing food quality. Mains were greasy and sides a bit sorry for themselves - at least one container was packed upsidedown in the bag, leaking contents and adding to the condensation.

I don't find the food size worth the money I paid, I brought sweet and sour chicken cantonese style for £7.10 and in a small tin tray I got 7 small pieces of chicken and the rest of the time was filled with onion, a few pineapple pieces, a few pepper pieces and just sweet and sour source, I spent nearly £50 for my order and the food came luke warm and I didn't even get any complimentary prawn crackers. I'm just really upset because I've ordered here before and the service, food quality and quantity are usually spot on.
