Cambridge Mill Restaurant in Cambridge

We had Sunday brunch for a group of 12 including 2 kids at 10 am. The location and atmosphere is top notch. However that is where the excitement ends. The buffet does not have the selection and quality that you would expect from a place that over charges at $53 per adult plus a mandatory 17% tip. Pay close attention to the credit card machine, it will still ask for a tip!! This practice is very sneaky!! The selection is very small for the price. The crab legs were small, tasteless and poor quality. The omelette station is liquid eggs and not fresh cracked. The eggs Benedict were without flavour. The meat at the carving station were tiny pieces of prime rib. The cold salad selection looked like it had been sitting out since the Sunday before and the cold shrimp was disgusting. Bacon, ham and sausage was just your regular run of the mill selection and not top quality. The alcoholic beverages are begrudgingly handed out at 11am and no one ever asked if we wanted a second. The Caesar was terrible!!! Also the coffee was never replenished and we were never told that there was specialty coffees included. Over all the brunch/breakfast is better at your average breakfast joint. Don’t waste you hard earned cash. Our server was Allison, I can not say anything good about this server. The restaurant has a 2 hour seating time, our reservation was at 10am. At 11:25 we were given our bill and told that our 2 hours were over since she said we came at 9:45am. Not true!! We corrected her and told her we came at 10am and that we had half hour left as many of us were still eating!! When we asked for coffee she seemed very perturbed to be asked. When it came time for us to actually leave and pay, one person from our table paid cash. He was asked if he wanted his change (remember tip is included) he said yes. When Allison returned with the change she slammed it down on the table, half of it falling on the floor and she turned and stalked away. Terrible! I am by no means a picky eater, I just feel that if you are shelling out $53 plus 17% tip and tax per person for brunch the food and drink selection, taste and quality should be amazing! Sorry to say the Cambridge Mill has duped its customers to not thinking they are getting quality, which they are definitely not!

what a nice quaint place on the riverside, popular as a meeting place, and perfect for the pint standing on bridge overlooking river, Good selection of beers, nice and helpfull staff, and a nice basic menu cooked to a high standard, Gammon dish was very nice and tasty,

Tucked almost out of the way, The Mill is a great spot for a bit of brunch. See the mill wheel turn and observe the water rushing below your feet! The menu is full of delicious bites, the brisket is amazing and the avocado smash is texturally delightful! It can get very busy at times so I do recommend booking ahead.
