Cally Munchy in Haringey

Sin duda recomendaría Cally Munchy a cualquiera que quiera organizar un evento con un pop-up stall. Estos chicos vinieron hasta nuestras oficinas en la ciudad, montaron su puesto en la azotea y entregaron el mejor sabor afro burritos que mis invitados habían probado. Fueron profesionales en su comunicación previa al día, respondiendo preguntas que yo tenía y asegurando que el evento fuera capaz de satisfacer diferentes requisitos dietéticos. Su concepto de comida afro - fusión funcionó bien con mi audiencia; fueron amables en el día y a pesar de que cocinaron la comida en el lugar para unos 70 invitados, no tuve problemas con las largas colas. ¡Los volveré a usar!

Great food - fusion rather than all African - and a welcoming place. Ate early before a theatre performance so the place was empty other than us. Hope they get better business at other times - they deserve it! Go and try the place!!

Such a great place. Super chilled atmosphere and great food. We like Nigerian and Ghanaian food - this takes from both and also other African cuisines and melds with Bao buns, wagyu steak for example, to great effect. A bonus is the bar at the Africa centre who do the drinks- we had fizzy palm wine 'champagne style ' that was very delicious and different. The service was superb. It is so close to the Old Vic and the Young Vic and the South Bank that it would make a good place for a pre- theatre meal too. Service was charming- the owner was serving the night we were there and he told us all about the different dishes. They've only just reopened here, and I feel lucky we found them.

The restaurant in the African centre has earned a special place in my heart. The simplicity of the menu immediately suggested I was in for a treat of quality dishes over quantity and the chef didn’t disappoint. A warm welcome and relaxed atmosphere matched the dishes which were comforting and packed with flavour. The moi bao was so tasty, I could easily have had another but resisted as I had the wagu suya to go. That too was banging as was the accompanying jollof. I couldn’t fault anything, no doubt I will be back with friends and family as this is just too good not to share.

We had 2 of the burgers at a football tournament- one veggie and one beef. Flavourful and fresh - and really lovely staff!

Saw the truck before and so glad i stopped by. Tried the cauliflower and suya steak with the jollof, peas and plantains. Though the "im fearless" wasn't as spicy as expected, the flavours were great and it was a perfect dinner portion with salad for me. Will definitely buy eating there again :)

Delicious Food. Some of the best cooked / flavoured rice I've tried. Very quick friendly service. Highly recommend their Afro Special Fried Rice with Chicken / Cauliflower. Cally Munchy served 250 people for lunch at our film set and there was an overwhelming majority wanting them to come back again.

Had @callymunchy for the first time today, I haven’t been able to taste for 3 months since having Covid and this was the first food that I’ve had the pleasure of properly tasting. Couldn’t have hoped for a better tasting meal, everything about it was perfect, couldn’t recommend it more! I went back for seconds as soon as I could!

There is a lack of good quality African food in my area so i was delighted when i discovered they had a delivery service to my home. I was told when my order would be shipped to me & the food was delivered fresh and tasted great. I will definitely order again

I planned on going to a Lebanese place, but this friendly person caught my eye. He offered me a sample of chicken and beef, and I was instantly sold. The food is really good- I'm west African, so I don't l usually buy food that I can cook at home. However I really like the fusion of African and Caribbean flavours in one dish. I will definitely go back and will spread the word. Thanks guys!

OMG could not get enough, but the queues were way too long to get back for more at the street event where we discovered the wonder that is Cally Munchy! This African fusion street food creation combined so many good things in one pot; my friend and I were sharing one, and boy were we aggrieved we'd not got one each. They do have some regular spots across London, but we stumbled across them at The Africa Centre Summer Festival. Suya beef with Cally chicken, rice, flavours, chili, plantain - munch munch munch; getting so excited just thinking about it again. Shall definitely be seeking out another venue soon to get some more of this great offering! It's rare anyting gets a straight 5 from me - hats off to you guys! Oh and how can I forget the amazing Shi-Tuan pepper sauce...?

Very good value, quick service, nice staff and decent cafe food. Recommend at the end of a weekend walk.
