Bog standard food and service nothing to write hame about. But quick and ok

Went for a pre-theatre dinner. I was really impressed with their vegan menu!! As a vegan who’s allergic to chilli I’m always a little worried about eating out, but the team here worked so hard to make their meals work for me. I cannot recommend it enough to everyone, but vegans, this place is fabulous

I've eaten and worked all over the country and I have an eating disorder I am always having to put a bunch of changes and add ons to my food so I can have things the way I like. I've eaten here 4 times in the past month, everytime we've selected different items from the menu and everytime it's been fabulous. I've never once had to ASK for my bacon to be crispy. Never once had to ASK for my scrambled eggs not to be over done and bone dry. The food just comes out how it SHOULD be cooked. I don't need to put a 12 page essay on my order, cos the chefs in here can clearly cook. I've had Jordans breakfast twice and it's arguably one of the best I've had in the whole of the northwest. If you are going for a one off brekkie I highly recommend the scrambled eggs over the fried because simple things done well are the best. And that's what these guys do perfectly.

Not very many nice places to eat in Chorley Town Centre. This place is quite nice.. always full and not badly priced, it caters to many tastes.... from Tapas to Sandwiches, Salads to Soups... we had breakfast... the quesadilla was lovely... full of flavour.... was a bit gutted that it was £9.50 and very small, however, by the time i had finished it, it was actually enough and I was being greedy with my eyes only! Wish there were more places in the town centre like this.

Bit too noisy loud music so you can't have a conversation

We regularly go to Calico Lounge for food. We have been for birthdays, breakfasts, lunch, dinner. We have been as a couple, a large group and we have taken our children on occasion. I have been with my friends on evenings drinking cocktails and I have been on a painting evening too. Calico lounge is brilliant for a variety of occasions and has wonderful food to suit a variety of palettes. I don’t eat meat and I can’t eat gluten. My son can’t eat dairy, yet the menu caters well for us and we have a good choice of food. I have had a great experience here 95% of the time I have visited. And I would recommend calico lounge to anyone. The 5% it was mediocre and they were very very busy but still it beats a weatherspoon hands down!

Visiting Chorley with Casta and decided to go off piste to a non real ale café bar. Part of a large chain, all ending in Lounge. Wait to be seated by the loveky staff. Large one room interior with front outside seating for warmer months. Two pints of Cruzcampo at £5.30 a pint made Casta feel at home. Casta is a Flat Eric not Gordon the Gopher! Popular for food, extensive menu.

Excellent restaurant with incredibly fast service and very good food and I thank waiter William and the cooks.

My wife ordered a vegetarian burrito via the QR code, got brought a meat one... And inadvertently ate some of it. Not good! Communication seemed to be an issue to both kitchen and to our table, despite ordering via QR code. Also, seemed to be some confusion about when food was brought over too. This should be better, especially when needing to respond to dietary requirements. A replacement meal was brought for free and a refund of the wrong meal too, and staff were apologetic. Mistakes happen but ordering via the QR code and communication should give more assurance that you will get the food you ordered.

Great atmosphere, food was amazing we had 9 tapas between us, all of it very tasty! Service was great too.

We always eat here when we visit the market. We love the food and find the staff and service excellent.

The food I ordered breakfast it wasn't the best I've had infact I've had better allot cheaper the tomatoes are covered in herbs taking the taste of tomato away the bacon taste like that cheep smoked bracon from bnm I felt like all I could taste was smoked herbs and my egg whites were runny

Good food, quick service, friendly staff

This was a last minute choice for dinner but we we were all pleased- quality tapas and pleasant staff, laid back atmosphere. I liked the menu, it should have something for all tastes without being too overwhelming.

We had the best cheesy chip's and house salad ever and we have been to many cheesy chip establishments, it was that good, we cancelled a booking for a valentines posh restaurant meal to return on valentines night

The food has been lovely both occasions visited twice had a burger meal and Malaysian rice meal, cocktails are nice, excellent customer service. A lovely place to eat I would go back and recommend to others.

Food not even warm. Expensive for the potions.

Price is good but the food just ok. I had the goat curry and the bottom was flooded with water from the rice but the curry itself was nice. The garlic flatbread was rock solid. We'll come back to try it again as it's in a good location when going to the cinema.

Lovely food and great service. I've not been disappointed on my visits and do recommend it as a place to experience. Easy ordering also via the app is great. The only slight downside is that the music is a bit too loud, so everyone is talking louder to be heard, which does spoil the atmosphere a bit. It has lovely comfortable sofas and a relaxed look it would be nice if the music and levels of it matched that. Even if it is just Sundays to give a more chilled vibe.

Met up with friends for lunch. Staff were lovely, food and drinks were amazing and the atmosphere very relaxing.

Emily went above and beyond for us on a very busy Saturday night, she put herself out to find us a table as soon as she could We were very grateful having a special needs so this meant a lot I work in hospitality and Emily was professional smiley and deserves this recognition

A bit pricey, but a nice place to visit when there's room! It's always crowded, and there is often a wait for a seat. However the food is worth it, and the staff are quite friendly. There are blankets, board games, etc. so when it's not busy, it's a great place to spend a bit of time with a few friends.

A great selection of dishes to match what you fancy that day. Good coverage for those with dietary requirements. A great place to grab a casual lunch. Can sometimes get a little noisy when busy.

I’m ashamed to say, as a Chorley resident, that this weekend was the first time we visited Calico. It will not be the last. Saturday morning’s hangover arrived with a vengeance reserved for the bitterest of enemies and we needed to head into town. Like clockwork, upon leaving the car, the rain arrived to further dampen our weekend, so we ducked into the Calico Lounge. There was a short wait whilst folks in front of us were seated and then we were told there was a table just coming free. We were told that the entire menu was available all day so although well gone midday I opted for the shakshouka and my partner had the fish finger sandwich. Both were delivered within 15 minutes, despite a full restaurant, and were wholeheartedly enjoyed. The staff were excellent, the restaurant was quirkily decorated and we will 100% be back with our pooch next weekend for a repeat! Thanks everyone!

Amazing salad 😀, it is very rare for me to find or even if I find -ti like the salad thay I am orderding. But I a big fan of green salads with bacon , chicken and other staff in it. Amazing salad. The ☕ was really great too.

Fantastic lunch out with family. A superb gluten free menu and regular menu both full of choice and food was amazing. My 2yr old fully enjoyed his kids meal which comes with a drink and a snack of hummus and bread sticks as well as the main. Service was brilliant too nothing was too much trouble. Lovely experience x

Terrible welcome upon arriving for lunch. Lots of tables hadn’t been cleared and the place was only half empty. Looked around for a clean table to be barked at “wait at the sign” unsure what this meant we asked again and the waitress shouted “there!” Pointing to a sign near the entrance. Although this is obviously normal procedure - to be spoken to like that was both unwelcoming and rude. After sitting down this waitress continued to greet others in the same way making them feel equally embarrassed and uncomfortable.! Some staff training here wouldn’t go a miss. Won’t be returning.

Ideal location near the market and cinema. Good tasty tapas and the GF menu is really large so its a Coeliacs heaven.

Great food and awesome service. Would recommend.

Yummy food, good sercice but music for type of venue very loud and unable to hear ourselves talking.

We have been many many time to the Calico and normally very pleased😎😎🤓🤔but come on, a wee bowl of French fries 10 chips £3.50 and wee bowl of onion rings 3 in all and burnt £3.50. We were not happy 😦😦. But we probably will return. Dave

The usual Loungers standard, oddball decor, great drinks selection - hard/soft/hot/cold. Food is decent price and quality. Dog friendly.

Really enjoyed the veggie breakfast and falafel tapas. Separate large gluten free menu. Only 4 stars for atmosphere as Xmas shoppers made it very busy and loud, will revisit at a quieter time.

Love this place, excellent food, staff helpful and attentive, great atmosphere, usually go with friends but would happily eat here solo.

Rude staff and unprofessional behaviour in general. Unfathomable why, but they took advantage of our grandma by charging her for three pots of tea which should have come as one pot for three, and when the staff was asked politely to lower the music they first dismissed my request and then ignored us for the rest of the time. Such a shame, because if you’re gonna be open and lively on a Sunday you may actually want to be nice to people who come in, instead of being horrible to them and trying to scam old people out of their money.

Go there fairly often, it's good for but I'd say the prices are a bit expensive, it's not too bad but I always wince at the total. I'd go there a lot more if it was around £20 including drinks for two.

A great place, located in the general shopping area of Chorley. A warm welcome, a great atmosphere, a constant buzz, and popular with locals at all hours of the day showing how good it is. I only had coffee and toast, but even that was served quickly and well presented. ♿️Easily accessible, all on one level, wide door, good spaces between the tables, good accessible washroom.

I love Calico. I go a lot! This time I was a bit disappointed with the food, none of the tables came out at the same time and my tapas had been overcooked a bit (calamari). However the waitress was lovely and fed it back, the cheesecake was delicious though. Fab selection of drink as usual! Earlier in the week we went to the charity bingo which had a really good turnout and for a good cause.

I've been here a couple of times now and the food is always amazing and the staff are always nice. They have a selection of toddler toys and a colouring in menu for little ones aswell as a great kids menu.

First time coming here and absolutely loved it. Came for breakfast and it was unreal. Friendly staff, fast service, amazing food and drinks. Very clean

The soup was extremely spicy, especially for chicken and tomato. The panini was so overcooked that it was difficult to cut. Service was too familiar. No warning, they were doing a shift change, which meant we had no idea who was serving us. The atmosphere was dire, no music..

Calico has been an amazing addition to Chorley's food and drink scene. We visit regularly and always have a great experience. The food is faultless and there is a wide selection of drinks. The service is always friendly and the atmosphere is great, whether it be in the morning, afternoon or evening. Our favourite place in the area by a mile.

Today myself and a colleague brought to autistic adults in for lunch. One particularly has problems with noise and to many people. Both of them were totally relaxed and really enjoyed there foods. The staff were wonderful and treated them with the sensitivity and professionalism all customers deserve. They both agreed they want to come back. We were there for about an hour and we as careers had no outbursts from either of the adults in our care which also made it relaxing for us. This is unusual so thanks to all the staff for making our lunch a lovely relaxing hour. Five stars around.

Wasn’t very wheelchair accessible, no disabled toilets and felt like I was in the way. There was a 40 minute wait for food which is fair enough given that it was a Saturday afternoon. Wouldn’t recommend for wheelchair users

What an amazing find in Chorley. I visited on the bank holiday with my family, it was busy but they had a table for 5 of us. One of the family had chosen here and mentioned that there were vegan choices, I wasn't expecting an entire menu! There were great breakfast choices which are served all day or mains like an aubergine flatbread, a vegan burger, a curry or Buddha bowl. It was hard to choose but I went for the Buddha bowl which had so many flavours that went really well together. The actual place looks like it was once a pub but it's now been turned into a really vibrant place to eat. The service was quick and friendly and we had a really nice family brunch, all of the family really enjoyed their food. I will definitely come back.

This is a new find for us, food lovely, staff friendly, fab atmosphere. Middle of the road price wise. We do love it.

After spending nearly an hour driving round googling and looking for a place just to grab a light Vegan lunch, just something quick and tasty for myself and my non vegan eating daughter,she came across this Funky Stylish eatery, Wow how shocked was i when we walked in, fantastic atmosphere amazing decor, we were greeted with a smile and friendly face ,seated almost immediately With So many options on our eating preferences, Vegan/ gluten-free Menus and regular and vegetarian options.... We where given time to check over the menus before ordering and there where two options for the soup of the day again WOW,a young lady came to take our orders- drink and food, Service was Excellent, music was perfect for a Sunday afternoon, all the ladies that where on duty working today where attentive and friendly AND THE FOOD ABSOLUTELY ON POINT!!! EXACTLY WHAT WE WHERE LOOKING FOR, perfectly priced and so tasty and well served and prepared.... I had the Vegan BLT and fries - My daughter had Tuna melt and fries, absolutely delicious, highly recommend and certainly will be calling again THANK YOU FOR A WONDERFUL LOVELY EXPERIENCE LADIES AND KITCHEN STAFF ♥️😎 🐻🤓🤜🤛🌱

Lovely food, i had the harissa chicken flatbread with the best chips I've ever had. 1 moan, the chicken flatbread was quite cold.

Came here for food and a drinks with a friend, food was subpar drinks were served but no cutlery provided had to go ask then they couldn't find any knives. Food was not good at all. Wouldn't return.

Cracking location with a variety of great food, teas, coffee and alcohol. Staff are friendly and helpful. Great for a catch up with friends, a couples meal or a larger group. They also cater for a variety of dietary requirements. Also dog friendly.

Disappointing palaver trying to make a group booking for Saturday 20th. Tried to book in advance but the website was faulty (not letting me select a time) so I emailed 17th. I was told the group could walk in as it wasn't over 8. I was aware it was chorley live & an extra person wanted to join, so I tried booking online anyway on the 18th & put the time as a comment as it wasn't an option. Got an email the next day saying they couldn't proceed with the booking & to ring up. I rang up. They couldn't fit me in at the time I'd booked for but could do 5PM. It was agreed they'd book it in & I agreed to ring to confirm or cancel. I rang back to confirm...to be told only 4:30 was free. I explained I'd just had to spend my lunch break chasing 7 people around to move rhem to the 5PM booking, as I'd been told I had the slot. I was then told someone had booked before me (unsure how as the 5PM was free when I booked 🙃). In the end I cancelled and we're going to Cosmopolitan, which was really easy to book & I think the company should take note! I apologise as I was so frustrated I just said "just cancel the whole thing" & hung up. However, having spent my day accommodating the restaurant & 2 days prior trying to book,I was very frustrated. Especially when I subsequently booked a table in minutes for Cosmopolitan online. It was just a bit shambolic. Not the staffs fault but the booking system obviously needs a lot of work! Their loss is another local businesses, as we generally spend a lot & tip generously.

Eaten here a few times, good selection catering for mainstream, intolerances and veg. Staff are friendly and a good vibe. Easy access for wheels. Just a generally nice place to eat out in Chorley.

The food was very dry and chewy and took nearly an hour to arrive.

After hearing good things about eating here I decided to make a booking for myself and four friends, for the 18th April. I have phoned three times during opening hours to make a booking, each occasion it was the answer machine and I left a full detailed message, when, how many, date and time to eat and my full contact details..I have never received a single reply. I also sent a email but still no reply, so now I have given up, they have lost the opportunity to impress us with the food, like the good reviews people had given me and more importantly the revenue from five guests. Thank you so much for causing disappointment, once not replying to a message I can understand, but no excuse for three messages and a email..staff training required.

Brilliant service with lovely, friendly staff and nothing is too much trouble. Me and my friend both chose different tapas and we thoroughly enjoyed each one. Visit Calico Lounge frequently and am never disappointed. Staff are always friendly whether it's busy or quiet and nice to have a few words with them. It's always nice to call in after a walk for a brew and cake being so relaxed. When we have had a meal, food is always excellent, and service is as expected. All in all, it's a really nice place to go.

Regularly dine at the Calico lounge, great atmosphere and decor. Staff are friendly and attentive. The food options are variable but always something new to try. Great quality food and drinks to keep you coming back for more. Order hassle free at your table via the QR code or via the bar. Orders arrive fairly quickly at the table but in enough time to socialise with your friends and family. I would highly recommend trying out this venue, I'm sure you will love it as much as I do. Also located next to the cinema should you fancy a few drinks before your film.

No change and we continue to really like it here, a nice relaxed bar serving good beers and always great food and as an added bonus it's also dog friendly. Good access from the street and it's all on one floor so great for people with physical disabilities. We've tended to use the App to order good and drinks which in this instance seems the better option although normally I prefer to order direct. The App though is easy to use and service is really quick and the menu caters for a wide range of dietary needs.

What fantastic food, drink, warm and very friendly atmosphere and megga friendly staff.
