We had the most fabulous experience at this amazing location. Perfectly served champagne and delicious cakes for a birthday treat. The service was impeccable with special mentions to Ayla, Maria and Daniel who made us feel very welcome and looked after us so well. Highly recommend (especially the cheesecake!) and we will definitely be back. Thank you.

I booked this as a treat for my mum for her birthday as she specifically wanted to eat cake and drink bubbles on her birthday. It was a very strange experience... Food: some of the desserts where beautiful, the plum cake, raspberry dessert, crème caramel and the mandarin slice, however others were either under flavoured such as the corks or where overwhelming such as the basil ice cream sandwich. As many of the flavours were balanced poorly, it was quite disappointing. Also, calling a dessert baklava and then having the audacity to provide ONE layer of pastry, inspired I would say. Very disappointing, and the cream was room temperature..... It was a lovely experience, and the setting was nice, however to be told 3 courses, in which one of them is a small blob of rose and lychee jelly on a real rose, while this looks stunning, it's a mouthful. The first course was too big, and the second too small, so perhaps a reshuffling to make it feel more even. The worst course however was the cheesecake, I don't think I will ever emotionally or gastrically recover from that... taste is personal, but it did not work for us. Brie did NOT work, and the texture was really unpleasant. Additionally most of the desserts were room temperature, which considering their diary content did make us feel unwell afterwards. Staff: The initial chap who served us, Paris was amazing, however he was taken over by someone who didn't match his energy. He said he would pour some champagne into the glass to try, but then just poured a full glass. He handled our food, and while I know he was trying to show us that the egg was filled with the dessert, he touched our food, it was disgusting. Especially with bitten fingers, put us right off. You do not need to touch guest's food to explain something to them. Gloves, a pair of tongs, or even just ask the customer to pick it up. Atmosphere: Didn't enjoy the screaming or crying children, especially when you've paid as £65 pp for an experience. Price: Over priced for what it was. Vevue Clicquot is always lovely, but a bottle is not worth £120 - I don't care if it is London. The mark up is a joke. Overall: There are MUCH better places to have cake and bubbles, while it looks lovely, and makes for great photos, don't bother eating it.

I came for my husband’s 50th birthday. After a long cold day around the city. We came to Cakes and Bubbles for the grand finale and it didn’t disappoint. We had a few glasses of bubbles as the rose cocktail wasn’t to our taste too sweet. Cherlyn went above and beyond to make our evening as special as possible. We had our 3 year old son with us which was very challenging at times. Cherlyn did everything possible to keep him occupied by providing colouring books and a mini vanilla ice cream. The plum cake was exceptional but the portion size could’ve been bigger, the takeaway option is better value for money but I only saw this option when exiting onto Regent Street.

Visited Cake and Bubbles with my friend and was welcomed by a lovely waiter, Zoe who was a very chatty and energetic girl, unquestionably starting our experience at a 10/10. She sat us down at a nice table near the window and had a great view overlooking regent street, we enjoyed a glass of quality champagne. All service was great. Would 100% recommend

Been here twice. First time was great, nice selection of unique baked goods, very stylish. Unfortunately something has happened in the last year or so. On our last visit the staff was uninterested and the menu was very sparse. It has become an overpriced average cafe. 3 rating should be seen as a 5 and a 1. Not worth a visit.

As soon as I walked in I was welcomed by two very cheerful young ladies at the front desk I believe their names were Zoe and Ayla, they both assisted me with picking a dessert to take home called peanut mimetics which were fantastic Would recommend

My wife and I heard a lot about this lil dessert cafe just outside of Piccadilly Circus... And If you're a cheesecake lover, you have to check out " Cakes & Bubbles." This delightful dessert shop has fine dining elegance & transforms you into a place of status and amazement. They offer a wide array of snacks and desserts that cater to every palate. The atmosphere of the shop is cozy and inviting, making it a perfect spot to spend an evening. From the inviting hosts Padi and Zoey at the door who let us in and accommodated us though was busy with the Christmas season inside and seated us to the waiter who took our order and served us, everyone was friendly, hospitable & with a smile, ready to recommend thier favorites which our beautiful waiter Carolyn did. She recommended we try the Signature cheesecake to share and the classic Basque burnt cheesecake and she explained what to expect and how was the best way to indulge it.We loved how the tiny biscuits were given to cleanse the taste at every bite making you fall in love with it all over again. Overall, Cakes and Bubbles is a must-visit for dessert enthusiasts. The quality is outstanding, and the variety ensures that you'll always find something new to try. Whether you're dining in or taking a slice home, you won't be disappointed!

I have wanted to visit for a long time and it did not disappoint! Glass of bubbles and a glass of wine and the ‘cork’ tasting plate was absolutely stunning. Every mouthful had a host of different flavours- what a taste sensation. The waiting staff and restaurant concierge were all so friendly and helpful. Enjoyed every minute even though to get there we walked in the rain for quite some time.

beautiful champagne lounge in a great location. the hotel was stunning and the festive decor was to die for. i highly recommend you book in advance because of how busy it was. special thanks to Paddy for fitting me in for a quick drink and the lovely Maria for her suggestions. I had the Veuve Cliquot dame which is one of my favourites abd i struggle to find it when I am out and about, their Christmas cake was delightful and paired well with my champagne. overall it was a wonderful experience tge service was great, I will be back!!!

The best cheesecake and club sandwich I ever had . Every time I am coming the staff is really helpful and always with a smile , they are doing the best to accommodate it me even if they are busy. I will like special to help Maria, Ayla and Tina for their amazing service. I will come back soon.

The booking system has a significant flaw: there is no clear disclosure of the £30 minimum spend per person. This can cause issues, especially for groups with young children who may only want ice cream and hot chocolate. While this minimum spend might be acceptable for adult-only groups, the primary concern is the lack of a clear warning on the booking page, which catches many guests off guard. Although the information is supposedly available in the “Terms and Conditions” link, it is not easily visible or accessible, leading to confusion.

Me and my friend came for some celebratory dessert and fizz and we had the most lovely time. The service was very generous, nothing was too much and they made excellent recommendations to try from the menu. It really added to our overall experience. I will definitely be coming back again!

OMG 😳 I was so happy to be there as my friend really wanted to go for such a long time BUT disappointed it after I sat there waiting for someone to take us orders more than 10 minutes when it wasn’t busy at all. I had to walk to one of staff asking them if someone can take our orders. No one even checked us out how was everything? (When you expected this from very expensive place like this) and yeah when we paid the bills, I was so surprised that they charged us 15% (normally in London, most of places charged 12.5%). Not really worth money we paid for sweets and drinks. I won’t go back there again. Don’t believe in Social Media. Until you were experienced it. More than £55 that we spent today. It is way too much and not worth it for prices we paid.

Stopped by this Saturday to indulge in their incredible desserts. Some things never change, like the wonderful ambiance, delicious coffee, and their signature cheesecake that is to die for. Many thanks to Yuliia for squeezing me in and being as lovely as ever and Caroline for providing an excellent service. I will be back!!

Beautiful setting. Staff was incredibly friendly and observant . I was directed to my table by the host Yulia who was exceptionally amicable and made sure I was comfortable and satisfied. Then I was served by Caroline and Zoe who ensured that my experience was astounding!!!

Amazing desserts, best coffee ever and incredible service. Would like to mention employee Yuliia who was very welcoming, helpful and pleasant to talk to. We bought golden eggs for take away as per her recommendation and loved it. Will definitely come back!

After going here once, I went here multiple times within a month. The dessert here is uniquely great. You've never had cheesecake like this. The service and staff are also fantastic, and a special shoutout for Maria. The lattes are also top notch. Highly recommend.

Fantastic sweet afternoon tea with bubbles at Cakes & Bubbles at Hotel Cafe Royal. Each element was beautiful and the service from Faith was perfect. She really helped to make our experience very special.

We’re there for take away coffee, I wasn’t expecting the restaurant is Golden Grand and beautiful, The drinks are great and the Barista Raymond and Petra was so nice and helpful! And the desserts look great, must come back for dessert

Ridiculously overpriced and gimmicky. They charge 7 pounds for a bottle of still water, and the price isn't mentioned on the menu. There's a 15% service charge. The food isn't even that great.

Took my mum for a birthday treat. Absolutely fantastic experience having the bubbles menu. Every cake and treat was beautifully made and presented. Our waitress Maria explained all of the treats to us and was very attentive making sure we enjoyed our time. They even added a happy birthday chocolate plaque to my mum’s cheesecake at the end.

OMG what an experience our cakes and bubbles afternoon tea was. From the moment we arrived we were treated so well and our waitress Maria was so kind and patient with us explaining everything about all the cakes and experiences we were about to have. She then explained them again as each course arrived. Nothing was to much trouble, even when my heavy handed husband broke the delicate egg she immediately brought him another. Every single thing we ate was just to die for and so delicately made with care and obvious passion. Nothing was too much trouble for maria and all our questions were answered with so much more information than we had asked for making our afternoon so special. Thank you maria

This week I had the pleasure of enjoying some beverages at cakes and bubbles. First I was warmly greeted by Paddy and Julia, who were very welcoming, then upon sitting I was served some tasty drinks by Maria, and throughout my time Ahmed tentatively took care of me This was such an amazing team effort just for little ole me and I can't wait to bring more people for my next visit Thank you so much everyone!

Very nice and posh place. Staff is very welcoming, good selection of bubbly, nice deserts. Tried few deserts, Basque Cheesecake was simply excellent, as well as Sorbet . However the Cakes & Bubbles Corks set of three was for me quite plain'ish. But people have different tastes, so I'm sure there would be a lovers of this one as well. Coffee very nice as well. Overall great atmosphere and pleasant time. A bit pricey, but if you want something premium you have to pay for it.

My daughter found Cakes and Bubbles by chance when searching the internet for somewhere special for us to celebrate her 18th birthday. Wow we were not disappointed. As soon as we entered we were greeted with warmth and friendliness, When I booked I mentioned that is was my daughters birthday and the staff wished her a very happy birthday when we were shown to the table, when we orders and when we left. We were made to feel so special. Now on to the food. We ordered the club sandwich, mini burgers, hot chocolate, English sparkling wine, a rose and the chocolate tarte. Everything was exceptional, the quality and attention to detail was so good. We will definitely be returning to try some of the other delicious treats.

Fabulous, as always. Every time we go, the two cheesecakes are a must-have, as are the hazelnut corks. We tried a new dessert: the orange wedges, which was lovely. I would welcome more choice (or choice beyond sandwiches, burgers and salads) in the savoury menu. They used to do a lovely pasta dish that is no l longer available. The lobster roll was nice, but it barely had any lobster in it. The service was excellent. Thank you, Ayla!

Right people, listen up because I know precisely what I’m taking about. I’m fussy as hell and I have been spoilt by eating in some of the finest restaurants in the world. My wife and I had the dessert tasting menu with a glass of bubbly at £65 pp. extremely underwhelming!!!!! Firstly the good bits. Fabulous hotel!!! Good service!!!! Food was so disappointing. Bland , sickly and lacking in class. The famous cheesecake was good, but everything else was so pedestrian!!!! Listen people it’s your choice but you have been warned!!!!!!!

Our second visit. This time for Dyls 20th (we visited for his 18th last time) It’s just as great. The menu changes but the firm favourites remain on the afternoon tea (rose and cheesecake) Staff super informative and friendly. As I’m dairy free I opted for a sandwich whilst the other 2 in our group had the full afternoon tea. Now £22 for a sandwich with no crusts is too much imo even though it was very tasty. The afternoon tea at £50 (£65 with champagne) is great value when you add up all the components. There’s no savoury, just sweet but it’s not too sweet. There’s a reason why it’s one of our favourite places as a special occasion.

I'm truly impressed with the restaurant service. The staff was attentive, the atmosphere was inviting, and the food was exceptional. It made for a delightful dining experience. The service is excellent, and the staff, especially Sara, are very friendly.

Best coffee I ever had in London Soho location And one of the best services and my fav people in the coffee location are zoe Padi , William , paddy they are amazing as always everytime we come to the coffee shop they always welcoming and everything in that coffee shop tastes amazing too I recommend the Spanish latte extra sweet if you sweet person. We were served by two wonderful people who I could only be ever grateful to for giving us such a wonderful experience and time. These two were Alice and Charlie.
