A complete experience, everything perfect. Dinner for 7 passed took 3 hours. All dishes were wonderful. Fresh and delicious ingredients. The highlights of the dishes ranged from simple things like lemon and carrots, to others like fresh truffles and foi gras. My birthday was celebrated in style. We will be back very soon.

You cant deny the standards on offer here. Everything is absolutely on point, so it has to be 5 stars. However for me theres a line to be drawn where the dining experience, no matter how special, becomes eclipsed by price.....especially an additional £50 service charge (for two people) which left me smarting somewhat.

Visited Cail Bruich last night for our anniversary, and it was amazing. The atmosphere is very relaxed, and not as formal as other Michele starred restaurants. The food is local produce done in an imaginative way. We had the wine pairing and have tried wines from countries that I never knew made wine. A wonderful experience, well worth treating yourself

This was our first visit to Scotland, and our dining experience at Cail Bruich exceeded our expectations. We did mention to staff that we were planning to go to Shucks the next evening. Imagine our surprise when Lauren at Shucks presented us with complimentary drinks. She told us that she was informed by a Cail Bruich staff member about our visit to Shucks that evening. Not only did you surprise us, but the staff at Cail Bruich and Shucks made us feel very special. Thank you.

Great service and atmosphere. Loved the food - only downside was that two dishes had similar flavour profiles to when I last went in 2021- the main, and the last dessert. The main, which was grouse - just a bit too hearty for me, and was seasoned with 5 spice, which was similar to the duck dish in 2021. The dish was very similar to what I had at the Balmoral earlier in the year... and I had the same issue with that as in, it just needs something to break up the richness of the protein. The dessert was milk and honey, was yummy, but just very similar to the 2021 flavours. The real star of the show for me was the mushroom dish with brioche ... was excellent. The service was spot on as to be expected. Best wishes. M

Always superb quality and service at Cail Bruich. Very expensive, but it's our first choice for that special occasion. The tasting menu can be up to 10 courses, so make sure you are hungry and allow lots of time! You won't be disappointed. Highly recommended.

I was there for the tasting menu with my wife for her birthday and it was simply superb. Every part of the experience from the hard working and knowledgeable staff, who make each of the exquisite and beautifully prepared courses, made to perfection from the extremely hard working and expert chefs in the kitchen with Lorna, with the just the right amount of discrete theatre at the table to make them both exciting and memorable. The attention to detail and craft for each dish component is amazing and the Michelin star is well deserved. We absolutely loved it and will certainly return. Fantastic.

An absolutely outstanding, memorable, meal. Staff were fantastic and attentive. We had tried to attend twice previously and date conspired against us but wow, it was worth the wait! If I had to be ever so slightly critical and hopefully helpful: drinks were slightly pricier than expected and the wine list could’ve done with more in the £50-150 price range. It didn’t detract from our enjoyment in the slightest. Have eaten at some of the best inc L’enclume, Moor Hall and Atelier Crenn the past year and this instantly entered our all time favourite meals. Huge congrats to Lorna and the team.

I've been coming to this restaurant for years but I've just returned for the first time since they gained their Michelin star and it did not disappoint. It was always my favourite restaurant in Glasgow but they have managed to exceed even themselves. It is pricey but worth the treat. Exceptional.

Came for our wedding anniversary, 2nd year in a row and was outstanding start to finish. Every single member of staff was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. Personal touch with a happy anniversary card on the table for our arrival - so lovely. The menu was delivered in an envelope so you could decide if you wanted every dish to be a surprise or not - really nice idea and different from our visit last year. Hope this stays as part of the experience. We arrived at 7:30 and left just before 11...the time flew by! The fact you have the table for the night, the execution of the dishes and the amazing staff/service makes this my favourite restaurant in Glasgow and warrants its price point (not to mention its Michelin star) Look forward to booking next year already!

We had the tasting menu with Hedonistic wine pairing. The food was delicious and would highly recommend the tasting menu. However, the hedonistic wine pairing was disappointing and very expensive - not worth the price. The sommelier was very proud of how old all the wines were (20 + years for most) but this is the only special thing about them and clearly explains the outrageous price. Possibly personal taste, but we felt they didn’t pair well with the food as they were mostly very sweet wines. Also heard another table saying they disliked some of the wines too. Otherwise would have rated 5-star.

One of the best tasting menu and chef’s table experiences I have ever had. The food is exciting and delicious, the wine is very well curated and the service is both friendly and professional. The chef’s table experience really lived up to the hype - I’ve never had such a good view of a kitchen. We had the table for the entire night and left after 4.5 hours! Very highly recommended and worthy of a special occasion.

Wonderful food with amazing service. There are two tables for each serving member of staff at the restaurant which leads to an excellent level of service. Each time my water glass was remotely low someone stepped in to top it up. The flavours on offer in the £125 tasting menu were exceptional. It should be noted that Cail Bruich doesn't offer a la cart, but given the difficulty in getting a table this obviously isn't a problem. On the wine front there are three levels of wine pairing options ranging from £95 to £300 per person. A wonderful culinary experience that makes a big dent in your pocket, but definitely worth it.

I would give this place 4 stars if it was cheaper/not Michelin star but have given it 3 due to the expectation as it's a little disappointing for the price you pay. Service is absolutely top notch, wine was incredible (we had the cheapest £70 pp wine flight). The "1st dessert" course was a raspberry/basil dish and both of us really disliked it. The optional cheese course was nice but didn't taste anything like cheese. I absolutely loved the mushroom tart. After speaking to 2 unrelated others they felt it was one of the worst Michelin star restaurants they had been to. Food is nice but doesn't have that wow factor.

Came with a friend before they got their Michelin star but knew it wouldn’t be long. This was not long before covid lockdown and the restaurant was very quiet. I let them know in advance that we didn’t drink alcohol and they made changes for the taster menu without any fuss. The food was great, the service was really good without ever being snobby/aloof- we discussed the playlist they had on and every dish was described and presented well. Look forward to going back next time I’m up there but I may struggle getting a table, and I’m happy for them that they’re getting the recognition they deserve.

Was there last evening for a birthday treat from my son and his partner. It was an amazing experience. Each dish was presented as a work of art, so visually really wetted your appetite. More importantly, when you tasted them they were even more delicious than hoped for. Finally managed to get a booth for 4 at the Michelin Starred Cail Bruich. Experienced the 7 course tasting menu with the wine pairing. A fantastic afternoon, the extremely knowledgeable staff talking us through the gastronomie on a step by step basis. Also just came second in the 2022 GQ Awards "Restaurant of the Year" . I booked the chef's table experience, not knowing it is only reserved for one party each session and I would be the only person sitting at the table. It was a privilege watching the team at work, who clearly maintained the highest standard for the food they served. And the food - I understand how hard it is to come across a restaurant where every dish is tasty, and Cail Bruich was one of them. There were multiple highlights of the menu, to list a few below: - West coast crab, raw Orkney scallop, dashi, hazelnut: they used the right amount of ponzu sauce which was not overpowering and let the natural sweetness of the seafood shine through. - Garden onion, Old Winchester, chive: this was created for Krug's Single Ingredient programme, and I was amazed how onions could be in so many different forms and textures. - Mushroom tart: you can probably imagine the beautiful smell of that truffle/mushroom sauce by just looking at the photo. - Laurencekirk chicken, hen of the woods mushroom, hispi cabbage: chicken was cooked just right, hen of woods absorbed the flavoursome jus, special mention to the cabbage (under the chicken) that was shredded and 'stir-fried' with diced bacon. Even the mocktails were treated seriously here, the one I ordered was refreshing and beautifully presented. Pleasant service all the way through.

Yesterday was my first visit since Cail Bruich gained it's Michelin Star. So well deserved as we were served amazing food and wine in smart but relaxed surroundings by friendly and knowledgeable staff. Celebrated my birthday here back in January with the Chef’s Table Experience. Fabulous food prepared by an elite chef team. The whole experience lasted around 3 hours with 12 courses served including starters and dessert. The initial novelty wore off as the team kept cooking same dishes for all guests, however it was worthwhile to witness the orderly preparation of the whole process. Menu evolves over time so I would definitely recommend to revisit every other time.

Cail Bruich has had a great kitchen for as long as I can remember, from way back last decade. Recently it was awarded a Michelin star - absolutely deserved. I went for the first time since it got its star on 26 January 2022 to celebrate my birthday with my wife and a friend. A superb evening. Service just so. The food exqusitely delicious and varied. It was a tasting menu. As treat to myself I chose the superior wine flight. As a wine nerd, absolute heaven! Fergus, the sommelier who looked after us, was not just knowledgeable but a pleaasure to have accompanying us through our wine journey. Other staff did the same for the food. Value for money is not really the question. It's what are you willing to spend (I appreciate there is also how much you have) to have one of life's experiences. If extraordinary dining is your thing, this is for you. No doubt, by any standards, anywhere.

Service was pretty faultless, very friendly and attentive, whilst remaining non intrusive. In fact it was great to people watch all the front of house staff work, as there was loads of little nods and nudges as they all worked superbly well together to deliver top class service. The food... The food was great, we had the tasting menu, and all the courses were very good and a few of them exceptional. The canapés possibly outshone a few of the actual courses in places. Slight criticisms that stopped this being a 5 star review, at times towards the end of the meal the gaps between courses slightly dragged. Not every course was exceptional, but im not sure if that is down to my expectation of a michellin starred restaurant or the chefs on the day/the menu. Its hard to remain totally objective on this point. With a tasting menu, there are always a couple of things you wouldnt usually order. Overall a really good dining experience, and really glad we went.

I have contacted this restaurant many times. I have a £100 voucher given to me by a dear friend. I have kept in touch and been assured that my voucher was still valid. Due to various lockdowns and the fact that the restaurant is now only open a few days a week and almost impossible to get a reservation, I asked if this voucher could now be used in Brett or Epicures. Despite previous assurances I have not received a response. i am extremely disappointed as it would seem that Cail Bruich have no intention of honouring past payments

This is one of the best experiences I've ever had in a restaurant. The chef's table experience is phenomenal - the staff are so attentive, fun, and also know when to leave you to it. Watching the chefs at work is like paying to go to the theatre. The waiters even noticed which hands I held my cutlery in and automatically started laying them in "my" right position for me, without even asking. Attention to detail is amazing, food is just delicious. I can't recommend this enough. Just wow.

High on food, who needs alcohol! Late afternoon sitting for the tasting menu was such a treat. I love the consistantly good food and service provided by Cail Bruich, even through lockdown, and today they exceeded my expectations. The food has extra layers, not just in the flavours but in the cleverly constructed dishes that reveal elements only when you break through the surface. Each course is presented with it own unique plates and cutlery, making a feast for the eyes too. I would post pictures but that would spoil the experience 😊

Wonderful home box from Cail Bruich . It’s a bit of normality in these strange times of covid ! Game presse very good and Halibut with beans excellent. It was a beautifully packaged box and the food was outstandingly good. I can’t wait to visit you in person Lorna at the restaurant hopefully in the not to distant future.

Well,we have just enjoyed a superb Cail Bruich at Home New year Dinner. Brilliant packaging,instructions and first class fine dining food. Scallops and Lobster thermidor to die for. Bread for your oven , and an incredible beef course to share.The sauces so good,even on their own!The best cauliflower ever. So much them a citron tart followed by cheese. Putting it together I felt I was on masterchef!Well done the team at Cail Bruich,so goodThanks, Happy New year 2021

Third and best Visit to Cail Bruich, had the set lunch early November just after the restaurant had returned from Lockdown, despite the obvious challenges and difficulties faced, the whole experience from start to finish was faultless. Service was exemplary and just the right amount of safety without over doing it. The Food was better than previous two visits, more refined, better balanced and flavours were absolutely spot on, The Tunworth cheese course was just about the best thing I’ve ever eaten in a restaurant, had six courses in all and everything was beautiful. Would hope this restaurant gets the recognition it deserves when you know who next dishes out the gongs. Thanks for a great lunch, will definitely be back, hopefully be able to have a bottle next time round.

We were given a voucher by our daughter and, due to COVID, finally got there this week. The meal was outstanding. Normally I would not take a tasting menu but each dish was adapted to suit my tastes. Every course was beautifully constructed and tasted amazing. Even after 5 courses, we did not feel that we had had too much to eat. Very much hoping that we’ll be back very soon.

The food here is incredible. We had the 5 course tasting menu,a d each course was fantastic . Everyone both front of house and in the kitchen,were very friendly, and happy to explain what was happening. I cant wait to go back again, it can't happen soon enough

Desde el momento en que entramos hasta que nos fuimos de mala gana, esto fue impecable. Disfrutamos del menú degustación del chef, que estaba perfectamente equilibrado y cada plato era un placer tanto para la vista como para el sabor. Los puntos destacados fueron muchos, pero la pasta con girolles y los platos de cangrejo y vieiras fueron memorables. No optamos por los vinos del maridaje y el sommelier fue excepcional. Participante y conocedor, lo hizo bien. El servicio fue impecable. Amable y atento pero nunca entrometido. Este lugar está entre los mejores. Seguramente merecedor de una estrella Michelin. Bien hecho a todos y muchas gracias. No puedo esperar para regresar.

Sinceramente, la mejor comida de mi vida. Mi amiga y yo fuimos a la mesa del chef para su cumpleaños número 30 con vino a juego y, sinceramente, la mejor experiencia gastronómica que hemos tenido. La comida estaba fuera de este mundo y las combinaciones de vinos eran demasiado perfectas. Casi como brujería. Josh era fabuloso, al igual que Lorna y todos los demás miembros del personal; me gustaría poder nombrarlos a todos. El equipo de Cail Bruich no solo está bien informado, sino que también es apasionado y cualquier cantidad que gastes allí no es suficiente.
