Caffi Cei in Gwynedd

Wonderful little cafe in the heart of Caernarfon, which I visited with my family on Monday. Very friendly staff who went out of their way to ensure every body in our party were looked after. Wonderful coffees and tasty cakes were enjoyed by all and my 8 year old daughter absolutely adored her banana milkshake and strawberry sundae. Definitely recommend this cafe if you’re visiting the area. Support local businesses as they work tirelessly to serve us all!!!

What a gem....from the moment you walk in its a warm welcome from a lovely gentleman with a menu...to a warm and chatty lady who takes our order,its a busy local cafe and a hub i should imagine for families..the food was the best breakfast ive ever had...sausage was superb and meaty...bacon cooked to perfection and not a cheap cut either..and to top it all off..the tea was strong and tasty....my top breakfast and a must when your in Caernarfon..

What a lovely little place, took my mum and her hubby to this place for breakfast. Lovely atmosphere, really friendly and food was delicious, it came out hot, so you could tell it freshly cooked. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, had a laugh with the lady who served us. Thank you for the lovely food and good atmosphere.

This is a lovely family run cafe virtually under the walls of the castle. The atmosphere is very cosy, bustling and friendly and everyone is greeted with a cheery welcome. You might have to wait for your food, but it will be worth it as it comes to your table freshly cooked and plenty of it. It is very reasonably priced and obviously a popular cafe with the locals as they all pitch in with clearing tables etc if the staff are under pressure. We would definitely come to Caernarfon to eat at this cafe again.

We called in on a wet morning after our trip up Snowdon was cancelled We all had the Mega Breakfast with a mug of tea, it was fantastic, cooked to order, very tasty, and great value for money, service was excellent, well worth a visit.

This cafe is such a gem. We had the English breakfasts and portions were great and the food well cooked and very reasonably priced. The lady who runs the restaurant was also warm and welcoming. We asked to swap some items on our breakfast and she was very obliging. The restaurant is spacious and has a good view of the castle from the back. Locals frequent it and the atmosphere feels relaxed and pleasant. Will definitely come again.

Visited with my husband and two kids for lunch today. All staff were lovely, especially the manageress who was a real pleasure to talk to. The adults ordered toasties and chips, and one child had chicken nuggets and chips and the other had toast. All food was lovely and very reasonably priced, with plenty of choice on the menu. We really enjoyed our visit.

An absolute gem of a cafe in Caernarfon the staff are so hard working and can't do enough for you and the food is excellent. I recommend the Jacket potato with chicken, bacon and mayo. Definitely coming again!

Awful. Quite the worst coffee we've had in a long time, we could not taste anything but watery milk. Teacake was ok, but unsure if it was butter or margarine on the top as it was spread too thin to tell. Also cash only, but we were only advised of this after ordering, and they were actually turning customers who wanted to pay by card away! No wonder it was practically empty on a busy Saturday afternoon. The decor and layout was equally uninspiring.

Two burgers & chips, coffee and soft drink for £14.95 seems like good value. But if you're going to sell food for a profit at that price, especially in these troubled times, then something has to give, and for me it was quality. As Mrs G said, it's what she would have expected from a burger van (and we've nothing against burger vans). For a cafe though we would have preferred to pay a little bit more and have something better quality. But I fully accept that we might not be the target customers, and if it's a formula that works for the regulars, then that's fine.

Been here a few times now and everytime it has been brilliant. Food always hot and very filling at great prices aswell. The staff are great and the the manger is friendly and makes you feel very comfortable when you are here. Would highly recommend giving this place a try

I’ve been here twice now this month and on both occasions have not been let down. Lovely cup of tea and a delicious breakfast along with a great atmosphere and lovely staff. Served by a female worker on my first visit very happy and there to help, on my second visit I was served by a male very happy and made me feel very welcome from the start by both. Would highly recommend and will be going back again next week.

Stopped in here to shelter from the rain. Visited with my husband and 6 month old son. There were high chairs available and baby change in the toilets (which were very clean!) The decor was dated but added to the charm of the place. The food was excellent value for money. Generous portions and cooked well. Staff were friendly and service was quick. We would definitely return to this quaint little cafe.

Stopped off after a trip round the castle with the kids - all four of us ate well for less than £20. Staff and owner were brilliant who couldn’t do enough for us and the kids. Lots of locals inside too - which is always a good sign!

Stayed in Caernarfon for the weekend and visited this place multiple times, it was our go too for the weekend to ensure we had a friendly and welcoming service from staff and amazingly good food. Can’t get over how cheap the prices were either, £12 for two meals and two drinks. Can not wait to return what a lovely little place with warm and friendly staff. Thank you so much for making our trip!
