Caffe Nero - Piccadilly Approach in Manchester

Went here to collect a “too good to go” bag in the pouring rain for it to be cancelled at the last minute by the branch. When I went in staff completely disinterested with a real “not my problem” attitude. Poorly managed coffee shop, customer service lacking and that all adds up to a big fat zero! Awful on every level. Will never go here again.

This is the best shop for a quiet coffee I would use this shop to just relax and do abit of online work

Nice coffee but takes too long. Fourteen minutes stood queuing for two coffees. Next door is quicker (and brighter).

I think they might serve coffee here but I wouldn’t know because the staff were too busy filling the dishwasher with salt as slowly as possible and someone else was refilling the serviettes, also as slowly as possible. The coffee and prices are not good enough to wait around being ignored, lots of other good options nearby.

I come in I ask the Barista I sat down there but is there can I order drink because I don’t leave my staff in that table order my drink the lady come gave this to me yeah she apologise what happened ok understand then I ask the man to make new one because I cannot drink that the guy saying she new the man who gave other drink was aggressive I was not welcome there I get awkward after what he said to me you say like to customer with loads of customer behind u look like I don’t want to drink this I was harassing by staff because if that

Visited this Caffe Nero during my recent visit to Manchester. I left Piccadilly station and this one is just outside the main entrance as the pavement slopes down. It was fairly quiet and a nice atmosphere. There was upstairs seating too but I was able to find a seat on the ground floor. The member of staff who served me was very friendly and I opted for a large Hot Chocolate with whipped cream on top. It was delicious. I will certainly return here again in the future.

Slow to take order, then messing about in the corner. When I was practically thrown my drink at me. I asked was this a frappe as looked like a coffe shaken up with a bit of froth. The fact I was rushing for a train I would of requested a refund. Staff rude too.

Typical Nero good coffee and cakes. Had a blueberry muffin and the atmosphere was great. Ideally located near Piccadilly station. Friendly staff and very helpful

I like Cafe Nero brand as coffee is usually much more to my taste than other chains This is a largish coffee shop, nice comfortable seats to sit and work. and good, helpful chatty staff! Much better atmosphere than the upstairs Starbucks

First impressions really do count and my wife and I only went in for a coffee toasted sandwiches and sugar hit (millionaire short cake and carrot cake). The staff were so attentive and couldn't do enough for us. Well done!!

re : barista named ‘KARIN’ 28/10/18 midday... Had the WORST Customer service I have ever encountered. So as we got there there was only one girl working there was a couple of people before me in the queue she wasn’t very friendly, quite rude I felt, but I brushed it off as she was farely busy. However the next encounter was the one that made me write this review, So first of all I walk up the stairs to go to the toilet I see you need a code so I have to go back down the stairs , I walk up to the counter, there is a girl serving someone, without acknowledging me and still facing the customer she mutters something I just caught ‘turn right’ , for no reason did I think she was talking to me i hadn’t even said anything to her at that point! So then I say ‘ excuse me do you have the c...’ she cut me off! Turned to me , what I can only describe as, in utter disgust , and said 1 4 2 , turn right’ She said this in such a tone I was shocked! I looked around to see if she was actually talking to me as I couldn’t understand why someone would talk to a customer that way , I was in total disbelief , I couldn’t believe she had spoken to me in this way! Like I had inconvenienced her so much to have to repeat herself! As we were leaving I noted to them that there service was shocking especially that girl, she then continued to argue with me and say she had already told me the code, i explained that 1. I hadn’t even asked the question at the point where she first said the code, and 2 she didn’t even acknowledge me so how was I to know she was talking to me... and it was the way she looked and spoke to me afterwards that was why I was so outraged ... I found out her name was ‘karin’ . For someone that has worked on customer service before the way she treated me was beyond ‘beyond bad service’ I wouldn’t speak to anyone like that especially not a customer ! I think they need some training. Will never visit this cafe Nero branch again !

We visited for a coffee on a mid-afternoon weekday. The coffee was OK without being anything special. The cafe is over 2 floors with the upstairs being less busy and having an eclectic range of seating to choose from. Mandatory music was played constantly. Overall, a convenient stop off point but not somewhere I would go out of my way to visit.

Staff are always very efficient and friendly. Excellent coffee. I prefer the upstairs area, which is more comfortable and quieter than downstairs - certainly quiet enough to get some work done. My only complaint is that the wifi isn't always usable on my mac computer - sometimes unable to log in, and can cut out for no apparent reason.

Place was busy and we only wanted two simple coffees- nightmare! Staff (not English) were useless and not focussed on moving orders on. Procrastination and deliberation are not acceptable traits in the service industry- give this place a huge miss as there are better coffee shops in Piccadilly.

I’ve been to this shop to get a quick coffe and the staff was really rude and not friendly at all. There was a long queue and there was this little girl alone who seems didn’t care and noticed there were people waiting. She didn’t even apologies for the wait. It took me 30 min wait to get a simple coffee. Never again!

A very efficient and friendly staff at this Caffè Nero in central Manchester. Good flat white, latte and an amazing hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows. Tables were cleaned quickly after people left and the whole place was tidy.

Close to the station, it’s warm with comfortable seating. The barista is very helpful and prepared an immaculate cortado and one double macchiato for us. Both perfect.

Upon visiting Manchester, we stopped by in this Nero as it was close to the station and our visit was pleasant. The place was quiet, the coffee and milkshakes tasted great and the staff was genuinely nice. Great experience!

And I like this particular branch, has many sitting area agains big window overlooking big square so youcan watch how world goes by. When it comes to coffee they have the one I like, I don't know what brand it is but I like it....
