The coffee was undrinkable. What have they done with their great baristas? I use to swear they served the best coffee in Soho.

Terrible service. They don’t have items on the menu advertised. They prepared porridge with milk which was really milk with porridge.

Terrible service, rude staff and most annoying part is the staff a just messing around, shouting and laughing at each other, just wanted to have a coffee and chat with my friend, not be entirely entertained by the staff

So Caffe Nero OCS has now descended from ‘go too social spot’ to ‘bad attitude #Balansisbetter’. I went there this afternoon and simply asked for a mug of tea to be told that they don’t give mugs/cups for tea anymore! YET they clearly DO give them for coffee! Not good enough! And REALLY BAD BUSINESS. THIS IS ENGLAND and most of us TEA drinkers hate paper or plastic cups. Worse .. the new guy at the till is clearly incapable of getting ANY order right first time and the guy making the coffee looked at me as if I’d asked for his bank account details. Popped into this place last night to grab a coffee to kill some time before getting some food. Man behind the counter couldnt be bothered to actually serve and carried on farting about with the machine for 10 mins. Walked out.

The staff I encountered today were downright rude and inattentive. They clearly wanted to be elsewhere. One of them actually used the 'F' word to me...twice! Is this the best that Nero can do?!!!

Terrible, inattentive staff who move at a snail’s pace. They make no eye contact, grunt replies and cannot remember who has ordered. Customers have to clear there own tables before sitting. Used to be okay but gone downhill lately.

Zero, it’s August, I want ice coffees or ice cubes with my drink yet every time I visit I am told there’s none even in spite of the company pushing advertising campaigns of their iced coffees and fruit boosters. You either buy an ice machine, increase frequency of ice restocking or you better close down for the summer. I bet in December there will be plenty of ice cubes!

Always wondered what this branch was like, now I know. Small, dingy, with miserable underground toilets that look dark and menacing. One visit was enough.

I spent more than 1 hour inside and nobody came to clean the table when it wasn't even busy. I know every single person should put away their own rubish but if some people don't do it at least the staff could. It's not the first time I find the tables like that.

It's a Caffe Nero - which normally is quick, clean service and some great tasting coffee. However this branch is a bit run down and doesn't look the cleanest. There's usually big queues which isn't great when you want to get a coffee on the run. The worst bit is that the coffee isn't good quality. I can make better at home - what's going on?

5 stars for the staff, 1 star for management: you have to start actively pushing away the beggars as the situation is now out of control, at a rate of at least 1 every ten minutes who absolutely urge you to stop what you are doing and give them their attention otherwise they’ll reach with their hands in your eyes. God forbid thinking what could happen if a customer after being harassed so many times by these people looking for money for their next drug fix lose their temper and tell them something rude. If you think that having a coffee without being harassed every ten minutes should be a luxury you’re wrong as I won’t hang around there anymore, who cares going to Soho anymore really. You have to help fixing this and I don’t care about any excuse you would pull not to do so.

The best coffe ever. After visiting Italy can drink coffe only @ CAFFE NERO. This coffee is better then Pret, Costa or Starbucks... Open till late! LOVE IT!!!

Polite and efficient service, limited seating but food and coffee both spot on. Shame the Christmas toasties have gone now they were great!

My title says all I want to say really! The coffee, cakes etc. are fine as are the staff but the place looks very dirty and is in need of a major refurb. and deep clean.

It used to be a great spot for a break at anytime with a great vibe then all of a sudden the entire team and managers disappeared all at once months ago and it has been on a downward trajectory since. Constant revolving door of new hires that have no clue and are left alone and unsupervised making them even more nervous. They don’t know how to make the coffee and there’s not enough of them to keep the place stocked and clean! And of corse long lines build up too.

Ett cafe mitt i Soho, här var jag i början av 90-talet och det var verkligen roligt att komma tillbaka och se att det finns kvar och att det fortfarande är bra, Rekommenderas varmt för en kaffepaus mitt i Soho! Här kan man sitta i solen, eller strax innan för de stora glasrutorna, och titta på folklivet!

Amazing food. In London on holiday had sandwiches from cafe nero everyday. The quality of food excellent. Love it!!!!

I've been coming here for years and the place is getting worse. About 3 years ago, they renovated it, and it looked worse than before. This coffee shop is a dirty dump with rude staff and no WIFI connection. The toilets in this place are disgusting!! I've started going to the newish Pret A manger down the road. Much nicer and CLEAN, with great WIFI connection.

We called in here for a pitstop of Earl Grey tea and carrot cake, which were both really good. The staff consisted of two Italian guys who were so rude! They obviously didn't realise that people could understand Italian in there as they were swearing, bad mouthing customers and just generally being obnoxious and unpleasant. The toilet was absolutely gross too and, according to the piece of paper on the back of the door, hadn't been checked since the morning (it should be hourly). It's such a shame how bad staff can affect a place.

Popped in on a Sunday about noon and the gents were already a mess. As well as the door lock not working, the floor was absolutely soaking. And neither the 11am nor the 12 noon inspection had happened. Poor.

This coffee shop make nice coffee, it is always busy but not difficult to find a place to seat. The place is not at its best, a deep cleaning would be great.

My coffee was bitter and very unpleasant. Took it back and was offered my money or a replacement. My issue here is how I was treated which was as one of a gazillion other Nero customers so therefore how I felt didn't matter, so I now am furious not with the person behind the counter, but with a company that doesn't value it's customers and treats them with condescension.

De las cadenas habituales de cafeterías que hay en UK en mi opinión ''''''Caffé Nero'''''' es la mejor, comparado con COSTA CAFÉ y la aburridisima Starbucks a la que no voy ni gratis, cuestiones personales ;)))) Sirven un café excelente, no te incomodan para que te vayas o consumas más, tienen tarjeta de fidelización (tras 9 consumiciones la diez es gratis) y WIFI en todos sus locales!!! Normalmente están ubicadas en sitios con buenas vistas y los hay por toda la nación. Hace décadas era imposible tomar un buen café por Inglaterra, ahora ya es habitual encontrar sitios donde el café es cómo el del resto de Europa!

Open still at midnight what a relief as hadn't eaten my evening meal so very hungry following after work drinks. I found it difficult finding anywhere open serving food. Great customer service and a vibrant atmosphere - I chose to takeout and enjoyed a hot chocolate, spinach and pesto croissant with some fresh fruit which were all delicious!

In Spain we use espresso Coffee almost everywhere, its hard to get real Coffee in London, but here yo will

Although I go here for convenience when in the area and needing a latte or cappuccino, I dont visit here for the ambiance or service behind the counter. Its more for people watching both inside the cafe and on the street passing by (it looks out onto Old Compton Street). It is typically pretty crowded at most hours of the day, so be sure to look for a seat and snag it before you order at the counter. Sometimes the baristas have a bit of an attitude but it's to be expected I guess - they are not usually tipped or thanked. Decent assortment of things to nibble with your caffein fix. Prices are reasonable. Make sure you get one of their Caffe Nero frequent purchaser cards - it gets stamped for every drink you purchase. Your 10th coffee is free. Not a bad deal.

The day's first cappuccino was the worst I had in years. the milk was just boiled and the coffee blend itself war rather bitter.

This place in the heart of SOHO is always packed. They won't guarantee a seat, but they do have some pavement tables and chairs too.Standard Nero menu including cakes, pastries etc. Quick service and friendly even when rushing to keep the queue under control The toilets are not the best in town though. Cramped and a bit tatty looking

Chose this because Costa was full but had an enjoyable time out drink/cake. The drinks, food and seating were adequate with no negatives but I wouldn't make a point of going back.

First of all, the menu is placed so you cannot read it without standing just next to the queue, not very handy. Secondly, the service wasn't good. The lady that took our order was barely looking at us, and got very snippy when we didn't have exact change. Lots of employees behind the conter, working in a seemingly very disorganised fashion. It was busy, but not THAT busy.Finally, regarding the coffee itself, the taste was good, but the temperature was just tepid despite drinking it immediately. Would not go back unless other coffee places were unavailable.

Visit this store, the staff are fabulous, the coffee is great, lots of window space to sit and watch the amazing comings and goings of soho. Great place

Went here today with two friend. Only one person outside on Old Compton had actually bought coffee. 3 Arab guys got very red when asked if they were leaving! Management need to encourage paying customers- people sit there for hours without spending a penny. V frustrating place. Staff are great but nobody notices this.

Nero was my local when I lived and worked in The West End. I still use it when I'm in town For me Cafe Nero is the cafe Chain and you can't beat a Sunny Day outside on Old Compton and Frith

Esse café tem uma boa localização mas sai um pouco da regra do conforto da rede Caffé Nero, tendo um ambiente mais despojado, talvez por estar no coração do Soho, onde de repente os clientes não fazem tanta questão de um pouco de sofisticação como em outras unidades. Eu diria que é um Caffé Nero meio "alternativo". E é realmente interessante ver que a maioria dos clientes prefere beber o café lá fora para poder fumar, deixando o salão mais vago que de costume.Os demais pontos são iguais a toda loja dessa rede de cafés.

nearly 24hrs and cheap but nice coffee....Great for people watching, however they have to remove the seats outside after 10:00pm If bar italia is busy, this is a good 2nd :-)

Oramai anche a Londra si può bere un buon espresso e non è più come anni fa quando trovavi solo caffè liofilizzato o acqua scura.Da Caffè Nero in Filth e Old Compton il personale è italiano e il caffè lo preparano come da noi.Per i più coraggiosi trovi anche altre cose, ma se stai su caffè o cappuccino vai abbastanza sul sicuro.Data la zona, clientela prevalentemente gay.

Great coffee and very quick service. I ordered a chia tea and mocha along with a chocolate croissant and almond croissant which all were good. They had tons of breads and food to chose from on the go.

This is such a friendly cafe with lovely staff.Always nice to pop in and have a nice coffee.Free wifi as well which is always a bonus.

Indifferent service, poor coffee, no atmosphere. Why go to a boring chain when you can enjoy a Soho institution like Bar Italia, which has been here forever. Unlike Nero, it has first rate coffee and snacks, served by waiters who know what they're doing. Open from early day to the early hours. An ideal place to pause and refresh.

Located in the corner of Frith street of soho and old Compton street.It is an ideal place to have some refreshments during your visit to London.I had some coffee, and a continental pastry on dry morning in London sitting outside in the ample areas provided.Whichever caffe Nero you visit, you always can relax over breakfast, and some drinks.

I generally love Cafe Nero &amp; it is my coffe chain of choice. However, very sad to say I walked out of this one. Not sure if they were short staffed, but it was filthy &amp; messy. All the empty tables were full of dirty cups &amp; plates. Napkins &amp; rubbish left on the floor. Really had an unappealing feel to the place. That bad, we walked out.

Love coffee, love Nero. Familiar chain thats handy slap bang in soho and offers the usual menu. No real surprises if you know Nero - but helpful staff with a good service. Cant go wrong. Enjoy.

Had a large café Americano, wife had a cappuccino and we both had a pastry. We sat at the window and drank our coffees and enjoyed the fresh pastries. What we had expected from a coffee shop. Good coffee and fast service, around what you would pay for a coffee in London. Close to our hotel and we also went to the Caffe Nero in the St Pancras station. Consistent in quality but with fast employees who supplied drinks quickly to us and other travellers during the morning rush. There are Caffe Nero locations all over London. I would recommend this chain to others.

This is nice cafe on the corner of Frith street, near famous Ronnie Scott's jazz club. Coffee with snack were not bad at all.

This is one unit of a chain that competes with Starbucks for offering several types of coffees, where you can seat and have free access to the Internet.Like in most of them, this one has friendly staff, good coffees, good wifi connection, but unhealthy pastries.

When i arrived at Heathrow Airport the first place I went for a beverage was the Caffe Nero. The Cafe Mocha was great and the gentleman behind the counter offered me a stamp card to fill with 9 stamps to get the tenth one free. Every one of these establishments I visited over the course of five was was excellent - great coffee, good snacks and great service. When I return, this will be the place I go for coffee!! And "Yes", I filled the card and received a free coffee beverage on my way out of London.

Could sit outside and smoke and watch the world go by...the staff were unpretencious with good english and extremely professional...the drinks were standard price for soho and no one rushed you...

Precisa parar em alguma lugar para tomar um simples café. acessar internet ler um livro ou fazer hora, essa rede de cafés espalhadas por Londres sempre é uma boa opção. Atendimento sempre muito simpático.

This is a great little coffee bar, sure part of a chain but the staff are always charming and the coffee is good. Don't bother so much with paninis or sandwiches that are quite overpriced but the cake is good and the people watching, especially looking at the cute gay men, it can't be bettered. Grab a window seat or sit on the 'terrace' - chairs on the pavement.

If you want a coffee/hot chocolate and people watch then this is the place for you. There is also free wi-fi and outdoor seating. I just wish they would wipe the tables more frequently

Esta no es una de las muchas copias de la cultura italiana. Este caffe, en esta street es óptimo. Mentalidad, servicio y empleados auténticamente italianos. Un momento perfecto para analizar donde vamos después???. Una pausa en el camino.

Went for Coffee on a Sunday here just one person serving and other standing around chatting with a big line of customers waiting.I see one of the staff members being very rude to a customer about the seating arrangement outside and he was asked to move in a very bad way.The manager was called and not helpful so if i was you ignore Caffe Neros and go down the road a bit for coffee.Caffee Nero really need to teach the staff at this coffee shop some good customers service skills.
