Caffe Nero in Edinburgh, City of

I went to Cafe Nero this morning and my wife was eating a banana she bought in with her. There was also another customer eating a sandwich she bought in with her. For some reason the female staff member singled out my wife saying she will be barred if she seen her eating her own food again. She did not say anything to the other lady you was eating her sandwich for some reason.

Amazing service!!! that girl with the tattoos is so lovely and professional, makes a great cuppa with a good chat.

The Coffee was subpar at best. My large coffee was only half filled. It does not taste how it’s supposed to and when I commented, was told to just put sugar in it. One of the barista clearly doesn’t know what she was doing. They use to be good but I think I’ll stop going here anymore (use to be a daily coffee spot for me).

I visit this coffee shop average 2 times a week on my commute home, there is one staff member in particular who just makes it an extremely uncomfortable experience, he is very rude and abrupt, he is not a polite person. This has now stopped me visiting this shop. I would rather go somewhere else where staff treat there customers with respect

No cleaning cloth in sight when the staff came to remove the existing paper cups and paper bags from my already dirty and sticky table top.

visited on a quiet Friday lunchtime -Quick coffee & cake ,very reasonable but my milk Jug had a chip in it -asked the lovely server to chuck it -my biggest bug bear -chipped Crockery!!! Tea ok but Disabled toilets -filthy -all around the rim ,all the fittings need an update ASAP-actually NOT FIT FOR HUMAN USE -Cant this BIG company afford an Update -I wouldn't return -felt I was in a 3rd world country with awful toilet facilities -PLEASE CLOSE THEM IMMEDIATELY AS THEY SHOUDNT BE OPEN !! The place wasn't busy so a good clean needed -even the door handle was knackered;It's a shame as I like Cafe nero -I wouldn't expect this especially in Morningside 😬😬😬

The staff always service you with a smile, but just beware, the WC resembles something out of a Dickens novel. DO NOT ENTER!

Disappointed that the barista in Morningside, Edinburgh branch insists she doesn't have to wear a mask. I shan't be going back. If I get sick I'm coming back to haunt you, lady.

We went for breakfast here three times because it’s so great here. The food, the coffee and the staff were all really good/nice. So we’ll be back another time for sure.

Whilst our coffee was okay, these premises certainly fell short on both device and cleanliness. Tables lay unkempt for a considerable time despite not being too busy. Regula at tenet at Caffe Nero throughout various parts of Scotland and this one did not come close in standards to many others.

Mixed service on the two dates I called in for breakfast. Busy both times but one day staff quite rude. Also too busy to make time to speak on tables. Toasted sandwich for breakfast was greasy and soggy. But they do play soothing classical music and so much better that Costa

Slightly jaded, below-average version of the Nero chain. Could have been cleaner and staff more welcoming. Coffee was up to standard though.

As a place for a quick pit stop whilst waiting for a train, it is one of the better options within the train station. Considering it's based at a train station therefore most people will have suitcases and bags, there isn't a lot of space as they have squeezed as many seats as they can within the seating area. Drinks were served in takeaway cups which I don't mind as it keeps them warmer for longer. My issue was that the cups weren't full, only half. It's not the service I am used to with this brand.

Lovely hot chocolate nice taste unlike some watery mugs you get served in other places . scone served warm was very good in terms of it being bought from a “chain coffee place” The man behind the till I didn’t catch his name but he had an accent , was very friendly and gave a warm smile , greeting and a have a nice day on leaving the shop. This is very rare these days and it did make me smile .

Ambiente muy agradable y tranquilo donde se ofrecen varias opciones de cafetería, sandwiches y dulces; todo riquísimo.

Just the same as every other Caffe Nero but I like this brand of coffee shop. Ordered a flat white and a vanilla latte and were both served with a smile very efficiently.Great coffee before we got the train home

mi segunda visita, y las dos veces (dar la primera visita podría haber sido solo un mal día) encontré el lugar muy sucio y los pasteles que pedí para volver a estar secos y como si hubieran estado allí por mucho tiempo. . El café estaba bien, el servicio estaba bien, pero se sentía ajeno al cliente y más como su lugar de trabajo personal. Hacía mucho frío fuera y es por eso que elegimos allí hoy (pero la lección aprendida) Por favor, limpie el lugar.

Esta fue mi primera visita a café Nero, siendo un aficionado ávido de Costa Coffee. . . . . debo decir que mi lealtad hacia Costa permanecerá después de visitar su tienda de hoy. No hola, bienvenido, a "o se puede obtener una bebida caliente" seguido de "quieres un pastel". Como el servidor derramado mi bebida cogí un muffin de arándanos al que respondió "que se supone para tomar las tartas". Mis disculpas me debe de haber perdido claramente el cartel detalles que! ! Oh no, no hay. . . . Lección aprendida., vaya a más clases de telepathy! ! Me parece que bastante desagradable y me esforzaré por encontrar una costa la próxima vez! !

Esta rama waverley de Caffe Nero es muy conveniente para los viajeros del tren, justo en el corazón de la estación por el otro de venta minorista. Obviamente está muy ocupado y con frecuencia se puede esperar un buen rato en la cola, así que tienes tiempo si tienes que coger un tren. Hay algunas mesas y sillas de exterior así como mesas en el interior. El café es bueno, hasta el nero y el nivel habitual variedad de tortas y alimentos informales la misma en cualquier sucursal.

He visitado muchas ramas de 'Nero', pero este no es uno de los mejor a los más pequeños. Las mesas no estaban limpias cuando fui. El personal me pareció disintersted y distante. El café estaba bien, pero id duda volver ya que hay mejores tiendas de café en Morningside!

Pleasant surroundings to partake a cup of coffee,it was clean and not to busy. On the Main Street and close to the shops

Good coffee with place in the middle of the active area the stuff are kind and helpful .. For Muslim it is great place for halal food almost all thing they have not included alcohol nor pork products..

Stanchi di una lunga giornata a girare in lungo e in largo per Edimburgo, non avevamo voglia di andare al ristorante per cui ci siamo fermati qui. Il cibo è quello che è, ma il personale è stato davvero gentile e premuroso. Va bene per un pasto veloce!

Stopped by here before our train to London. They have several pre-packaged sandwiches and wraps to choose from. These can be heated if desired pretty. Pretty good coffee shop as well. Very convenient.

This is a popular and busy place on the corner with comfortable indoor and pavement seating. The coffee is good, the food is fresh and the service is efficient

Spotted a very comfy sofa in this cafe, while waiting for my train. Made a beeline for it, and ordered a coffee and a muffin. Spotlessly clean, wheelchair accessible, and friendly, chatty staff. This isn't a big place, but it did the job. Would certainly visit again.

Popped in for a quick coffee and a cake before boarding the train back to sunny Darlington. Coffee was nice (not as good as Costa) but the the blueberry muffin and raspberry / white chocolate muffin were delicious. No issues as tables were cleared quick. Service was pretty quick which was an added bonus.

Stopped by for coffee & cake, late afternoon. Service was fast & friendly. Our server (beardy chap) was lovely, super chatty, gave us lots of info about the cakes to help us choose. The coffees were good and the cakes superb. Bit disappointed in the state of the table, needed a good wipe down and the floor beneath our table was rather messy and unpleasant. Having said that our lovely server was all on his own serving and clearing so he could only do so much. Perhaps the young lady filling shelves could have taken a little time to assist him.....

I am a fan of the coffee house chains but this one definitely will be a no return zone for me. Coffee made and was ok, but cheeky that I was charged extra for soy... Starbucks don't wise up Nero! The worst was the service. My coffee was made but the cooler I ordered was not made I waited politely and the staff member who took my payment not only tried to charge me twice but was shocked that I was still waiting after she had given me the coffee! Took too long...

Same as North America There is nothing more to say - they are all the same ! If you do not like it - fine- do not print it !

Was in the cafe in edinburgh waverely..it was not until I was sitting down to have my coffee I noticed the trolley stacked with rubbish, then I noticed the amount of flies in the shop and I'm not talking about a couple..there was a lot!! Very poor level of hygiene!!!! I don't know what environmental health keeps this place open!!!!!!!!

Visited this place on Saturday, just for quick cake and coffee stop. Busy but got served o.k and found a table in the corner at the end of the counter. I was not alone! The walls were crawling with small fruit flies, a veritable plague of them. Bit of bleach required methinks. Will definitely not set foot in there again, no excuse for poor hygiene.

Sempre uma boa opção para tomar um café e comer um lanche quentinho e para descansar das longas caminhadas. Tem acesso Wi-Fi gratuito. O único problema é que tem pouco lugares para sentar.

This is one of the busiest coffee shops that I have ever encountered across the Edinburgh area. Regardless of what time of day or night I stop in, the staff are always very busy. I find the staff are at all times very pleasant and very efficient. I guess a very busy train station with people always rushing to catch trains and connections keeps them focused and working at pace. Great coffee shop, great people and great coffee.All staff very pleasant but a special mention to the manageress who is very efficient and also to Martina who always brings a smile to my face. Was in cafe Nero in Waverley train station today, I saw one person getting served and because people had put bags etc on seats he could not get a seat and was told he would be charged extra to take his drink outside!. When he complained about this the guy behind the counter just shrugged his shoulders and basically told the person that if they don't like it then they are free to go elsewhere?.....not great customer service, we waited a while and got 2 seats eventually I ordered our coffees and before I could ask for food the lady had finalised my bill and had started serving the lady next to me even though she had another 2 colleagues standing doing nothing (chatting to each other about nothing to do with work.). I can't blame the girl that served us as at least she was trying her best to serve people but the other guys could have helped her. The coffee was ok. But the service was appalling. I don't think we will be back in that particular place. The tables where left dirty and had old cups and saucers on them too. Basically decent enough coffee, some overworked staff, some very lazy staff and poor customer service!

New to Morningside and really enjoy the mocha here. Wonderfully presented, great service with a smile and even a paper to read. Very warm place and comfy sofas. Visit here most mornings.

no habia mucha gente cuando fui,se manejan con poco personal,pero es eficiente. Steve estaba en la cafetera con un aprendiz de barista,e igual no había demoras.Super Atento.Lindo,pero nada de otro mundo.

El lugar es limpio y practico para cuando uno esta de paso y quiere comer o tomar algo. Variedad de ensaladas y sandwiches y muy frescos
