Caffè Nero in Manchester

A wonderfully cosy spot for socialising, study or read with a coffee. Service is always efficient, and the coffee is consistently made to a fantastic standard. If you are someone who is loyal to Caffé Nero, I would recommend visiting here in Manchester. I will warn that it gets pretty busy in the lunchtime hour rush, with it being located on the university campus. If you go in the early morning though, you’re likely to get a seat. Books are also available to read there!

Went to pick up a to good to go bag from this awful cafe not only did they lock us out before time the purple haired member of staff completely ignored our cries for help I spent our last £4 here to be left completely lost awful pace do not recommend unless you want to starve

This is my coffee shop of choice the only thing that lets it down is the angry bald Scottish man who is consistently rude and abrupt. Today I witnessed him slam a coffee down in anger when the a girl next to me asked for cream on her coffee. I would not normally comment but I have witnessed his acts on multiple occassions particularly directed towards international students.

It’s in a very nice location inside a bookshop. It can get a bit crowded during Uni lunch hour but the quick and friendly service makes up for it. The place is also clean. I got a pistachio latte which was delicious. Looking forward to visiting again soon.

Nice shop. If you want 2 tea bags (like your tea strong) they charge you double for tea. Be warned strong tea lovers. Both other cafes nearby don't do this.

I found this place by accident whilst shopping for a book. Great seated area upstairs of bookshop…best place for a coffee shop now in my opinion, I could stay for hours just refuelling whilst I immerse myself in a good book. Staff are always especially helpful and chatty which I really enjoy…great coffee and great cake options.

I came here to meet a Petty owner of a volleyball group I used to be part of. I had an iced americano because it was so hot outside. I had to sit through a rehearsed rant and plea to get attention from Petty, but the staff were nice.

This is my favourite Nero ever, it’s situated in the top of a black wells bookshop and the vibe is so nice. It is usually quite busy but there’s a lot of turnover so it’s not hard to get a table. They have the usual selection of sandwiches and cakes that a Nero has. My person go to is the focaccia bread with Brie and tomato sandwich it’s so good!

Great staff, fast service and the coffee is one of the best. Definitely recommend the pistachio iced latte

been waiting for my coffee for more than 10pm. it’s 2:30pm on Sunday when more than 10 people waiting, why is there only one girl ordering, serving coffee, and doing all the things?

Very slow queues, only trainees left to run the place, trying their best but still slow, mediocre flat white

Coffee - it’s Nero Food - a tea cake costing over £2 - just a basic tea cake from any value range, and a small pkt of butter that barely covered one side! Service - basic communication a barrier! Very confusing when all I wanted was my reward stamp!

Went yesterday to get a coffee to go, unfortunately there was only one poor girl on her own, very unfair for her the queue was massive, I felt for her I don't know how it's possible to have 1 staff on a Saturday at 4pm I left after 5 min The book shop had more staff and bo customers lol

Absolutely fine Caffe Nero in a bookshop. Gets very busy. Docking a star for one particular barista who tries to get everyone to try the single origin blend but never mentions it costs extra.

You can usually get a seat but lunchtime gets busy. It's at the top of the stairs in the bookstore. The coffees are great and there's a good selection of food. I really wish it was a little cheaper since it's on a university campus but I like to come and study here sometimes

Such a cozy Caffè Nero, it’s on top of a Blackwells so there’s books downstairs and upstairs! You can always pick up a book and read it in the cafe too. There’s a lovely view of the campus area too and it’s just a great place to be at - the baristas are all lovely too. I’ve been coming here for like 3-4 years now it’s always great

Friendly and knowledgeable staff (I wanted a mint frappe like they used to do). I happily fed and changed my baby here.

Looking at previous reviews and wondering if the staff/management are leaving them because my experience was far from friendly, welcoming and fun! Did not receive a warm/nice welcome, was just asked what I want. No one asked if I was being served already while I was waiting. the person who originally took my order came to do my drink after he was finished doing what ever he was doing in the back room. When I came to pay I didn’t realise it was cash only (which was ok as I had cash on me) but would of been better if that was explained before ordering instead of being told (cash only and pointing at a note on the till). While I was waiting another customer though his order was being placed on a plate and said sorry mine is a take out and the reply from the other guy behind the till was (I know) and carried on. Overall experience was really bad and I will not be coming here again, would of gave no starts if that was an option.

Very friendly and nice! The accessible lift & toilet are well kept and always reliable. Need to remember to not tie the alarm cord back though!

Nice, quiet coffee house on 1st floor.

Ladies who work there pour their soul to service! Always smiling, kind and up for a chat! Besides, coffee is great as always. However, it’s the location that makes this cafe so great. It’s located inside a book store, just a short flight of stairs up, so you can take your coffee gazing at the books. Alternatively you can sit yourself in amazingly comfy sofas and benches in some deeper corners of the cafe. 10/10, I’m there daily!

Nice clean branch of Nero, located on the University campus and within Blackwell's Book Shop. Pleasant staff and good Covid regulations, pleasant spot for a quick break.
