Caffè Nero in Wandsworth

I met a work friend for a coffee and we sat downstairs which was a dream,such a lovely area to unwind after a long day I had the deluxe hot chocolate and an ice tea with a cake ,it was lovely and we stayed for a good hour catch-up time in such an amazing place,staff very nice and friendly and patient..

I ordered two iced lattes today and was impressed with the range of flavours. I was served by the very kind professional lady. With great customer service. Sorry didn’t get the name but I think maybe from Philippines? Overall great refreshing drinks and will go again for the drinks and welcoming staff at Balham cafe nero :)

The man who served me had no social skills and didn't answer me.the state of the fables and floor was disgusting, they hadn't been wiped for ages.

Disgusting filthy toilet, went at 1pm and toilets hadn't been checked all day. Also dirty black scum around taps.

Always good coffee and friendly staff but I have to factor in at least 15 minutes to get a drink as the service is very slow. Great options and a nice place to sit and people watch

The lady that took my order neglected to take my food request or even payment. Clearly when they are busy the focus is gone. They either need to train their staff more or get more staff to assist. Very unhappy with how I was treated. You don't expect much from such an establishment but not even the bear minimum service is met. In the end my order was wrong too. Not recommended. Rather go to Pret across the road.

Despite its prime location in Balham, the interior consistently has an off-putting smell reminiscent of a dirty toilet, becoming a regular issue lately. As a result, I would currently choose not to return:(

Always curious to see how many people still use these places for "WiFi". If you're single and want to meet a potential wife or hubby, don't bring your laptop, their conversation 'killer'!

Out for a walk with the dog and as it is dog friendly it was convenient, for both, to stop for refreshments

Nice staff. Shame the place is full of yuppie non-Londoners on laptops, hogging tables like it's their living room, and trying to look like they're doing something useful "WFH".

Ordered through UberEats and this is what I’ve got .. this is absolutely ridiculous. Why do you guys do not wrap the drinks ?! My drink was half empty. I’ll never order from you again

One of Balham's wide array of excellent cafés. If you enjoy Café Nero coffee then this is a good branch, there's normally plenty of seating and the service is very good

Very nice place to enjoy a coffee while reading a book or chat with friends. They should consider to use less plastic to deliver them orders, I'd encourage everybody to bring their own cup.

Well just like any other Caffe Nero. The staff was helpful and serviced us quickly.

Always coming back for the chocolate twist, the softer I’ve ever had. NERO’s Iced lattes are my favourites.

Normally they make good coffees, this one could have been a one off. Ordered a flat white ahead on the mobile app 10ish minutes before arriving. When I picked up it felt half empty as was full of foam, milk was scalding hot so felt like they burnt it. Coffee generally tasted of chemicals, like the first coffee out of the machine after they clean it the night before. Just an amateur coffee all round really.

Standard Nero coffee shop. Friendly competent staff. Downstairs especially good for studying.

Balham Café Nero has always been an excellent place to sit with an great coffee and watch the world go by. Now it's finally open again after lockdown, it's a great place to socially distance while watching the world go by! Tables are well spaced and the café is well ventilated. Nice to still be recognised, even with face mask on. So good to have it back

I stopped coming here as I kept being treated so badly. But on Sunday I visited it and I met a lovely Brazilian barista and he was lovely!

I arrived before it's closing time at 16.51 and they were already closed unbelievable

Great place for a lockdown coffee

I thought that the barrister seemed helpful and friendly. The coffee I had was the festive salted Caramel Latte and it was very nicely prepared, and hot, exactly to my taste. The mince pie was tasty, it's a pity they couldn't heat it up a bit. The only let-down was the fact that I couldn't use their toilets, and later I noticed that I could have used the toilets in Costa over the road if I had bought a coffee there.

Good place for a slow coffee in Balham. The team is responsive and nice, and the place is rather quiet even at peak hours in the afternoon. The selection is nicely shown, and the service is quick. It is rather clear that the staff is well trained to deal with customers, as they are warm and friendly. Definitely a good place to study or work!

I use your shop 3 or 4 times a week I love it one is some of your customers take liberties ordering coffe 2 take away and they drink in side and use copters 4 very long time and even bring the won drinks tell your staff 2 look for it

They made a near perfect cappuccino,so much so that I then had another two just to make sure that it was not a fluke,and I am glad to say that it was not a fluke,just a barrista who really knows how to create a truly wonderful cappo,I also believe that the Barrista was being trained,hopefully she will get the job full-time,if this how Cafe Nero train there potential employees,then bring it on and give her the job NOW

Nice branch of Nero bit small on the upstairs. When I was there lots of babies and small children so couldn't really read my book...but it was still not unpleasant because of that. However what was most annoying is how noisy the staff was with the cups and cutlery as they were placing removing them from the dishwasher etc. Or maybe it sounds so noisy because the area is small...either way I never had this experience in any other Nero establishment.

Nice coffee shop on the high street good for drinks snacks and working or relaxing.

I went there to have some relax. It was raining and I needed a warm place. The environment is warm and cozy and the people there are very friendly with excellent customer service! There wifi which is great when you need to do some work on your laptop.

You won't go short of coffee shops in this part of town, but (admittedly my personal favourite chain) Caffe Nero is a reliable bet whether for a quick drink to go or for more leisurely me-time after dropping off your little ones at Bertie & Boo or the Moon Under Water. Simply excellent staff, being skilled, efficient and well-mannered. Tip: nab a comfy chair by the window for a near-panoramic view of Balham High Street.

Nice place for a coffee it has a downstairs basement with sofa makes it feel like your sitting room and free internet

Pretty standard Cafe Nero, but thats not a negative. The staff are professional and remember my daily order. You can use the Cafe Nero App at this cafe and the staff know how to cater for you. They also have seating downstairs. It is about 2 mins walk from the Balham tube and is a great meeting place and landmark in the area. I like the place and get my daily coffee fix from the Nero!

Staff never aware of crockery on tables. They will go on their break and not notice. A couple of weeks ago I brought it to their attention.

When there early morning and the place was nice and cosy and the staffs were nice.

Friendly staff, fairly busy but good amount of seating so I usually get a spot if I to there, generally clean even during busy times.

Lovely staff good coffee. Better WITHOUT kids. Rather grumpy clientele occasionally - working on laptop fair enough but please place your bags so others can sit and don't look irritated at being disturbed if they're in the way. Overall a good place. Decor bit worn but cleaned regularly on my visit.
