We attended today around 1 pm, and the male barista was so considerate and polite. The beans on the cappuccino were so good. And he added extra foam, as we requested as well. Thank you for making our trip back to croydon house of Fraser so special, and we could reminisce our times going there weekly.

Terrible big made lady who is the manager herself. Very rude and rude attitude. Tables not cleaned. Avoid

I always come to Caffè Nero in house of fraser on my break. I always get my caramel and vanilla ice latte, tuna panini and almond croissant. Staff are very nice and friendly. Even tho they get busy during lunch time, and when they are under pressure they always make sure to give the best quality food.

I was provided wonderful service by the middle aged lady who was really helpful and patient when I was trying to decide what drink I wanted. The young lady was also very nice and friendly. Will come back again.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE PLEASE AVOID! There’s a nasty older woman (as the other bad reviews say), and, apparently, she’s a ‘manager’ who’s got a hostile attitude and also a bald-headed guy. From the moment we walked in they were super disrespectful, uninterested and not knowledgeable about the drinks at all. We asked for their names to make a complaint and they refused to give them and the man manager then came around the till and stood really close to us to intimidate us. We asked him to move back and he said I am going to stand here all day. Then he proceeded to tell us to never return. I am absolutely appalled. We felt racially profiled. This should not be happening in 2023! Both of these staff need to be investigated immediately.

AVOID this particular cafe Nero at all cost. Just had the worst experience ever with an older lady (dressed scruffy) who claims to be the manager!!. She refused to give her name after I said I wished to make a complaint. She was then joined by another male bald member of staff who acted as though he needed to be her spokesperson and proceeded to be extremely rude to me. They have a very appalling mannerism and their customer service was abhorrent

It's tucked away in the back of House of Frasers. It's a 60s vibe, and while I was there, they were playing some relaxing jazz. Decaf mocha with whipped was really nice.

This one is really good as it's clean, probably befitting from being in house of Fraser

Great place to grab a coffee and read

There are two women staff at this branch. The manager is a downright rude, angry, small-minded person in whose lexicon the words, "customer service" do not exist. She is mean. And so is the other young lady. She smiles and appears friendly but doesn't think twice before letting out her words. Pathetic, pathetic, pathetic people.

Service needs courteous focus. You cannot ask a customer to buy right away if they are expecting someone to join.

Today I came with my friend and our 2years old baby and the lady middle age giving me nasty looks after I apologise if my baby a bit noise but baby wasn't even yelling or crying but she gave me the look that making me doesn't want to come there again. And no wonder she got many bad reviews towards her attitude to customer. Please she needs more training how to give a good service since people come and paying for that, not for free stuff. But the guy was so kind.

Came in at 4:25 on the 29/12/22 lady was finishing making a drink for the previous customer then turns around to me and says she’s closed. I said you close at 4:30? She said yes I said well you have 5 mins and she refused to make me drink. Not to mention the fact I was standing there for a good 2/3 mins with my pushchair so not hard to see I was waiting from before. A good 8 mins before closing time. Great way to treat your customers. Thanks lady

When I came in there yesterday it was very quiet. Because this store is inside a House of Fraser shop. The service was pretty good and was able to dine in, whereas I couldn't before because of the social distancing measures taking place last year.

Expensive, tasty food decent drinks but expensive for what you get. It's normally fairly quiet which is nice.

Located in Centrale shopping centre in House of Fraser. It's an easy access ground floor cafe with nice seating and friendly staff. Ideal for a little break between working the multiple floors. 😊

The service was okay but tables were extremely dirty and filthy only one staff making coffee and coming out to clear tables. I had to clean and empty someone dirty stuff before l sat down to drink my coffee.

This caffe used to be so much better. The woman running the cafe comes across as a rude, grumpy, unhappy person. She needs to change her tone. She is snappy. Perhaps, it is the nature of her job that is driving her to be annoyed. Clearly she is not the right person for the job. The other day, I asked her to warm up a croissant. She retorted saying that it was already baked!!! Today, she kind of told me off asking me to move to other table because I was occupying "two tables". She could have asked me politely but like a headmistress of the 'old' school, she ordered me to move. No manners!!! No social intelligence!!! No sensitivity!!!

Went to order a hot chocolate milano without the cream (as it has always been optional and I’m allergic to) the lady would only fill the cup half way stating that’s all she can do as I don’t want the cream. I asked you’re only going to fill my cup half way because I don’t want the cream? To which she stated I cannot fill it anymore than what is here. Despite it being half a cup which is below the standard issued to any paying customer. I had to leave it as it was going back and forth with how much hot chocolate I would have in my cup for that price. Absolutely appalled by this as I have never encountered any issues with having cream or not.

What is not to love? The staff are always so lovely and helpful. They more importantly make great coffee and food suitable for all. I would like to say I love the fact they are environmentally friendly and support not wasting food.

There are lots of branches of Caffe Nero about but this one is located inside House of Fraser. If I didn't pop into House of Fraser I would not have discovered it. The selection of cakes and pastries are quite good. There is a cold drinks cabinet for non coffee drinkers.

I ordered afternoon tea cup of tea scone clotted cream and jam but the cream was frozen and couldn't spread and the scone was cold from the fridge first time I have ever encountered this I told the waitress and she refunded the money in future I will stick to coffee which I always enjoy from Caffe Nero

An Oasis in a desert. Used to be a place to sit after a good shop at HoF. Now the only reason to go into HoF. Good staff very friendly and a good mix of customers. Snacks a bit overpriced and not as good quality as they used to be with the Croissants and Pain au raisins sometimes quite burnt. A little cosy corner for children to play - also away from main area.
