Delightful service at Nero this morning!

Exceptional experience at Cafe Nero in Coventry town center! Ankita, our barista, was absolutely amazing. She crafted a perfect pistachio hot chocolate that was not only delicious but also visually stunning. The Profiterole cheesecake was the perfect complement to our drinks. Ankita's friendly service and excellent barista skills made our visit special. If you're in the area, I highly recommend stopping by - ask for Ankita for a perfectly prepared beverage!​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Fantastic place to visit when in Coventry. Counter is a little funny to adjust to as a split lane service but otherwise all was great. Had a nice chat with the staff and the Service on each day I couldn't fault. Thank you.

Very popular coffee in the old Wimpey.

It's a great place, but avoid it in cold weather because the heating has been broken for several months.

As you might expect from a Nero. Nice layout inside, although far too cold for a nice sit down. Everyone had their coats on. Staff were pleasant enough. Coffee gave me palpitations. It’s a cafe Nero.

Lovely staff but very slow especially when busy compared to the two Caffè Nero’s at Warwick University and the one in Leamington’s Upper parade. Drinks were delicious though and it’s a very unique location.

Toss up between 3 and 4 because the coffee is very good, WiFi, ambience, but service is so slow......

Went there for a coffee this morning, but will never visit again. The queue was so long and slow. I waited for 15 mins to get my turn. However, the counter guy asked me if he could have 5 mins to process the online order. 5 mins then turned into 10 mins… I don’t know how many coffees he made for the online order, probably 4 or 5, while I only need one. Just had enough, so I ran away for good, and did everyone else a favor. Look… you are not making the best coffee in the world. Definitely not deserve 30-min wait.

Take 30 min for a coffee. No staff

I travel across the UK visiting many towns and cities and on arrival I usually seek out a cafe Nero to enjoy a cappuccino. From the outside of the only cafe Nero in Coventry the building looked great with a 36⁰ glass view I was impressed and was looking forward to going inside. Unfortunately the excitement of the experience turned into complete confusion. With two counters and no one seemingly serving, customers waiting and everyone seemed a little confused and when a barista eventually called out who was next an argument erupted between two customers about who had been waiting the longest ending up with one of the customers walking out and another customer putting the items back that they'd picked up to purchase and leaving with his partner. This confusion happened twice in the four times I visited. I was eventually served and the barista seemed particularly unfriendly and brisk . I completely understand it can be a stressful job but from a customers perspective its very unprofessional. I also asked if she could provide me with a loyalty card and she replied quite sharply "we don't do them anymore " no other explanation,so I took my coffee and sat down The actual coffee shop itself was extremely cramped but not with customers but with tables and chairs and I couldn't see how it could be possible if all the tables were occupied customers would be physically able of getting comfortable with inadequate space between chairs. I think this is a case of maximum capacity over customers comfort

I ordered a pistachio cake, it was very tasty, but there was one problem, it was too dirty and not cleaned, but the food was very tasty

Came in here due to the unique 1960s architecture of the cafe. Good to visit.

Today I just experienced a very bad behaviour from the two ladies staff. They didn't want to give a stamp for bringing my own cup as they says the rule changes as I used a voucher. Even by proving from the customer service chat on the 4th of September with Tracey it is wrong as it is bracking their sustainability policy they both didn't want to listen. Very poor experience. Could be crowded but personally think they make better coffee than others. Service could be a bit faster as it could be a long wait at busy time.

The store is very confortable! All staff are very welcoming and friendly :). Food and drinks are made quickly so never in the line for too long. Great atmosphere and impeccable service!

Lovely Coffee & Ambience, Friendly hospitality by Subhankar!

It could be a great place, but the service is incredibly slow, and the workers' attitudes clearly show they don't want to be there. I tried to order an iced coffee from the menu, but the server told me they didn't have it, despite it being listed. If they can't serve it, why have it on the menu?! It seems they're just too lazy to make it. When I asked what iced drinks they did have, the server simply said, "Look, we only have this drink. Do you want it or not?" Such a horrible attitude, honestly. When I finally accepted the order, it took them 10-15 minutes to make a single drink, causing everyone to wait forever for their orders. The iced coffee I eventually received was basically just a bunch of ice cubes with two espresso shots poured over them, really just rubbish. Most of the workers spent ages chatting with other customers, which slowed everything down. I wish there was another Caffe Nero in Coventry because this one is just awful.

Please Train your newly appointed that , Philippine / Malaysian lady ! She was rude ! Absolutely rude ! Never had that experience before ! Always had positive experiences but not today.

Looks like a lovely place, but hardly any fast service. Too slow to get served, they see you waiting and don't serve.

I can't thank Fatima and (especially) Glen for this afternoon. The coffee was fab but as a first time mum I got into a panic when my 3 month old needing feeding. I was flapping and ran into the nearest Cafe. Glen came to my rescue with hot water and then a cold jug to help get my baba fed and settled. Its really daunting being a mum and not knowing what to do. Thank you for helping me and putting me at ease. I'm sorry for the rude customer who you had to deal with just after. I will be writing to your company to let them know how grateful I am and how rude the lady was.

Waited ages to be served walked out in the end

I've been a long-time customer, always very well served, wonderful coffee. Today I had my coffee at Local. It's a very cozy space.

Very poor service. Assistants too busy chatting with their friends. Completely ignored me for quite a few minutes while they chatted to them Coffee fine when I got it. Please train your staff better Nero's.

Probably the best coffee in town. The staff are always nice and friendly. But it's not the most cosy environment for a coffee shop, prob because of the slightly old interior and furniture, Starbucks certainly have a better vibe. Also, tables are not always clean beucase of the limited staff so would be nice if they can improve that.

Barista looked like I interrupted him from watching semifinals of Copa America and it’s 78’ minute and his team is loosing 0:2. Also great location Tables weren’t ready cleaned, even tho it wasn’t busy when I was there. 👍

When we visited for a treat on Valentine’s, we were served by a lovely young man, who was very polite and patient and made equally lovely drinks. Very happy with our experience

I had a coffee and an Italian tiramisu, which was excellent.

The building is very unique and props to Caffe Nero for using such an unusual space. Classic Nero coffee, Panettone Latte was nice, reg latte was okay. Got very busy and because of the odd shape of the building, the queue was a bit awkward and meant waiting a while to be served.

Haven’t been here in awhile and was happy that it’s still nice! It’s such a cool building and a piece of Coventry history. It wasn’t too crowded for a Friday afternoon. The staff were friendly. The price wasn’t too bad. I had a cafe mocha with oat milk and it was delicious 😋 a nice balance of coffee and chocolate. The seats were comfy and the views are cool. I’ll definitely go again.

I would have given it more stars, but for the fact that catering wise no problems appearance wise outside the the cafe is a mess seat cushioning chucked in a pile planters unattended with drainage holes blocked. Unswept, littered dining area

Visited cafe nero with my god mum today and the lovely beautiful foreign female Staff member who’s served me a few times in the past and today is such a wonderful person kind caring helpful staff member. Kindly gave me a cafe nero token with three stamps although i paid for two latte’s also makes a wonderful latte everytime i go there. Bless her. 🙏🏽😀

Average service for cost of £4.90 for hot choc drink pretty average!! Service was good.

Cov’s classic round cafe, so a must-visit place if you’re here to see the modernist architecture. Weird having two service counters as it’s never clear if you should queue in one or two lines.

We enjoyed lovely coffees with sweet treats on a day outing to Coventry Cathdral ruin.

Decent coffee experience. Been here on all my visits to coventry. Good pricing, conveniently located and most of all friendly servers. Would recommend a visit.

Alright store and good coffee with quick service but no customer toilet. And toilet in the shopping centre closes 30 min before the store closes on a Sunday, which isn’t ideal.

I love Neros coffee, but it's a great shame that this place is dirty. Tables were covered in ring marks and it was only 945 am. Obviously hadn't been cleaned from the day before.

good coffee and okay customer service but i was sat in there for an hour and no one came to clear the tables, every single table that was not taken was full of trays of empty cups and food wrappers

It’s what you’d expect from a chain coffee shop. I’d say though that its location is quite unique.

I had lovely and smooth Cappuccino with an egg mayonnaise sandwich. Delicious food and drink with friendly service and atmosphere. The design of the coffee shop is really unique too with it's cylindrical shape and it being situated in the middle of the Lower Precinct shopping centre. Definitely recommend for anyone who is spending some time in the area! ☕

Rudest staff I have ever encountered. The boy working today at 9 am spent 5 minutes stood directly in front of me texting rather than serving me. Then made me a disgusting iced coffee and thought that I was telepathic as he put through the charge without saying a single word to me. Then asked me what my f'ing problem was when I asked about paying. Needless to say he refused to give me his name and called me a liar when I gave him feedback on his terrible service. Sack this boy before you have no customers, this is the second time I have received this kind of service from the same member of staff.

The bloody guy who served me said my Three discount code was already used, which I literally generated like 5 mins before going to the cafe. I was pretty annoyed at that, it was their aweful systems which were clearly junk and ended up having me pay an extortionate price of £4 when it could have been £1.

Food is really nice but expensive and the staff are very rude, they need to learn people skills

Visited today and had the best service off a young gentleman behind the counter. He was so lovely to me and my daughter. She now wants to come all the time. Great service is not always given and he was brilliant.

I’ve been here a few times and they serve really good coffee here! This day I tried a chocolate milkshake and it was delicious! I also had a tiramisu which okay was okay but it taste like it was in the fridge from the day before. My friend had a vegan chocolate cheese cake and a vegan chocolate milkshake and she enjoyed both of them 😍🥹✨💕🌈

This is a great place to enjoy coffee in Coventry. Being round with the prep in the centre works really well and the selection of tables is great. Coffee is Caffe Nero Plus. Barista who served us really knew his coffee and was an amazing guy. Will definitely be back! Photos show an Americano and Cappuccino.

Cake ok coffee ok but its a dirty place that need a good deep clean Coffee served in a cipped mug just not good enough so not going back its that simply.

Good coffee and reasonable selection of cakes etc from the usual Nero choice. Location is quirky being only accessible via stairs or ramp with glass sided barriers which maybe a bit tricky for those with sight or mobility problems & those who may suffer from vertigo!

Really ashamed to have to write this but ordered drinks and cake and only thing that was correct was the cake my local Caffè Nero is far better.

Ordered 2 lattes a noticed a thick grime of foam on top that tasted of burnt coffee and undrinkable. Approached the gentleman that served me and explained my issue, the coffee machine having noticed extremely dirty and unkept, all the jugs were dirty and just topped up with milk again and again without being rinsed with each customer, jay cloth that you clean the nozzle was extremely dirty. Apparently they are not allowed to clean or rinse the jugs each time they are used as not to waste water and only get cleaned at the end of their shift, hence the dirty grime foam and burnt milk disgusting, it’s just a chain and we don’t care great attitude to have, fridges tables were just dirty and sticky whole place just needed a good clean.

Friendly staff, although had to wait a little before being served. Wanted to try the vegan cream (I’m not vegan so thankfully I could have the normal) but it was unavailable. HERE TO SAY YOU MUST TRY THE SALTED CARAMEL BROWNIE HOT CHOCO, thank me later! :)

Just bought two hot chocolates and a caramel latte. They were well made and tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful, but the chairs were grubby, tatty and dirty, I didn't sit back in it.

Relaxing, had a coffee. Connected to game WiFi aswell. Will recommend coming here to study or chill out.

Staff are always friendly and provide a good service. Love their loyalty card system and the app has always got exclusive treats for members.

Really nice cafe with varied menu of hot and cold drinks and food, friendly staff and a good atmosphere. Accessible too. My one negative would be that there is no clear queuing system. One time I was waiting for ages to be served because only one member of staff was on. It was hot and there were limited tables in the shade. Another member of staff arrived and opened the till on the other side, but instead of being mindful of the people already queuing, she served the woman who had just that second walked in. Maddening.

Slow slow slow. Sunday morning, quite time, they managed to create a quee. After around 10 minutes we as many other customers changed our mind.

Fantastic coffee, unrivaled by any of the bigger coffee shops. Staff friendly. Only place I get a hot drink. Still the best coffee around.

Everytime we come the staff give a warm welcome and fantastic service. We are kept up to date with promos on the app and if we would like anything else to personalise our drinks, wether it me cream on top or a syrup shot. Can't big Nero up enough. Always the go to coffee shop

Last time I came here it was the Wimpy, 40 years ago! Nice to see the building still here so popped in for a coffee. 9th Wonder of the World, culturally on a par with the Taj Mahal. Oh there's a cathedral down the road too.
