Caffè Nero in Cheltenham

All good everything I expect from here.

The coffee is delicious, the whipped cream is also delicious, the staff is very cute, I go to this shop very often.

Unfortunately, 9 times out of 10 they will forget you’ve ordered alternative milk. Not worth the problems caused by negligence towards allergens 🤷‍♂️

I asked for a plant based sausage roll (due to allergies and morals). I had a few bites and noticed something chewy. The staff had given me a meat one instead - I even pointed to staff which one I wanted just incase. Staff gave me a refund but, only as I asked for one. This is awful, people with much worse allergies could come off a LOT worse. I was also given a dairy latte ( I asked for oat) which they quickly changed BUT for the staff to get BOTH of my orders wrong is awful (to note at the time I went in they were only serving myself and one other person). I understand everyone is human and mistakes happen but when it comes to allergies there’s no room for mistakes. I have a dairy allergy and meat intolerance and due to your staffs negligence I’ve been ill. Staff definitely need re training on allergy risks - to get both orders wrong is awful.

Working in town my morning coffee is important to me! I visit this store regularly and Phill, Layla and Jamie are always very welcoming, friendly and make a great coffee too!! Highly recommend.

Nero in Cheltenham has seen significant changes over the years, with the original High Street store closing in 2021 and the House of Fraser branch shutting its doors earlier this year. Among the newest locations, this store truly stands out compared to the Promenade and Kingsditch branches. The staff are warm and welcoming, consistently serving a perfectly crafted cappuccino or flat white. If you’re in the mood for something sweet, the millionaire’s shortbread is a must-try. A fantastic addition to Cheltenham’s coffee scene!

Place crawling with midges/flies - not just one or two but hundreds. Needs sorting out urgently.

We didn't eat, it was just coffee, but what a great vibe. You could see people working productively from their laptops, and for the first time in ages, the conversation was audible. I can see me waiting for my friends here, with a good book.

Went here today with a friend as we always love the taste of Nero coffee! However the place was full of small flies. We didn't notice initially until we sat down and we were sat towards the back of the shop on right hand side. Once seated it was clear their was an issue, flies everywhere, all up the walls and behind the counter area. First time at this particular outlet so wouldn't put me off drinking their coffee but I won't be returning to this particular store!

The baristas are young and appear to be studenty. Approachable, friendly and efficient. The coffee ☕️ is what you would expect from a venue which specialises in coffee. Extremely good!

Friendly team, great coffee, pleasant pain au chocolat. Clean and tidy café.

Service was very friendly and helpful. They even accommodated my daughter's bizarre request for marshmallows with her tea.

Lovely staff but Wi-Fi doesn’t work. Cloud WiFi that needs ALL of your details and then doesn’t connect.

Such a lovely place to catch-up with family & friends! I saw lots of people working and studying here too😄 Our coffees were so nice and cosy which was perfect because it was quite cold outside! Our cookie tasted SO delicious as well yum yum. Thank you for the great experience xx

Best coffee shop in Cheltenham by a long shot! It's quite easy to find good coffee these days, but finding somewhere where the staff are passionate about their jobs and giving the customers the best experience possible isn't so easy to come by. This Café Nero ticks all the boxes. There is plenty of seating both upstairs and downstairs, paired with a good choice of music, creating a nice relaxed environment for a break in my day. One of the trainees made me an amazing caramel latte the other day too, so don't be afraid of the less experienced staff. Keep up the good work 👍

Brilliant customer service and lovely place to sit and watch the world go by.

This is actually my 2nd review of this branch. I really wanted to single out Mandy who always gives exceptional customer service. She is always very polite and is very committed to her work. Customer service seems to be a very rare thing nowadays, however, this isn't the case with Mandy. A very well done is deserved.

I pass 9 different coffee shops on my way to work each day but this Nero store wins hands down. Lovely staff, always smiley and welcoming in the early morning whilst I'm still half asleep. A great place to work / people watch. Nice range of laptop-sheltered seating, as well as comfier sofas for friendly catch ups.

I stop in here on my way to and from work all the time and have always had a wonderful experience. No matter how busy they are, the staff are welcoming and friendly, they seem to have all of their regular customer’s favourite orders memorised and consistently go above and beyond. Plus they have the best hot chocolate around!

Establishment keeps closing for maintenance which is really frustrating. Seriously sort out any issues fully before reopening.

The best coffee in Cheltenham is served SPECIFICALLY here. That, coupled with the calm jazzy vibes of the place, with comfy seating and a quieter upstairs area, makes this the perfect Cheltenham coffee shop.

Nice Nero. Decor one of the best I've been to. Shame the road it is on is a bit rough looking. Didn't eat there but I believe the cake my son had was nice. Coffee was as expected.

Great cafe with lovely baristas and nice environment to get some work done and relax. They were coming to pick up the used cutleries often but were not cleaning the surface with alcohol so that could be improved. Other than this great coffee and good milk alternatives too!

New cafe, moved from up the road I think. Spacious, with upstairs seating as well. Excellent coffee, friendly chatty staff.

I really love the seating area, especially the 2-seat table with comfy small couches. It even comes with USB plugs! Recommended!

Amaretto mince pies are absolutely delicious. They warmed them for is and even gave us free cream to pour on them. The mocha was great too.

Really, cozy and comfortable place. Here I tried their pistachio coffee and I'm in love with it☺️!!! Carrot cake is well. So glad there is in Cheltenham such a beautiful place, because ignoring the coffee it is very rare to find such a coffee shop with a chic renovation.

Nice friendly staff, good coffee and superior frappe. Definitely my favourite of the corporate coffee houses. The others, in my opinion, overrated. I like a good frappe whilst travelling. These people provide me with such, with friendliness and jovial demeanour. Definitely better than the much loved by the nhs Costa. See if you agree!

This is my favourite coffee shop in Cheltenham. The service is always brilliant and the shop is clean and tidy. Any queues go down quickly and the hot chocolate is delicious.

Very quiet, I am not usually that early.

Good time here, meeting up with family and having a nice coffee each.. Comfy sofa in the window, chilled place to be.. Enjoyed.. Covid safe and aware, toilets clean and presentable.. Staff were great conversation too. Thank you...

Nice coffee but was disappointed could not pay with cash.

I like the coffee. It is consistent and for me always delivers (the black Americano at any rate). For this reason alone I would forgo the competition. However my favourite branch is Great Malvern where the staff are so nice and opposite is Malvern Priory which provides a charming backdrop. Well worth taking time out of the day and treating yourself.

Went in on Sunday to get 2 chai lattes which were delicious by the way however what surprised me was the nice lady Toya who let me use the toilet even if they were closed. She noticed I’m pregnant and straight away permitted me to pass through the corridor where the toilets are! Many many thanks Toya! You have shown empathy and been very kind!!😊

Nice place for coffee/cake; seats & decor are a bit old but the coffee is objectively better than Costa/Starbucks and the cakes are tasty (if a little expensive!)

Very friendly and helpful staff comfortable relaxing surroundings, soft background music hand sanitising stations and a disposable point for your used cups.

First coffee shop I have been to since lockdown has eased and it was a very welcoming and safe experience. Plenty of signage and track and trace details at the till which could be done by scanning a QR code. Having been a Costa drinker for a while I was very impressed with the flat white which was in a takeaway cup for obvious reasons. Drink was hot and flavourful. My wife's chai latte was very good as well. It is a shame we don't have one near us as the experience has swing me over to drinking there. Oh the brownie was exceptional. Definitely going back if I'm ever in Cheltenham again.

My favourite coffee , great helpful , attentive staff . No other chain for me .

Let's make this simple. Had tea, no spoon given. Had a bottled drink no glass offered. Bought a sandwich no plate was given. Sandwich; to much cheese not enough ham.

Busy day with quite a long queue so it wasn't a quick process. One toilet locked out of order but no sign to say it was and this was the disabled one so not ideal.
