Love nero coffee and food but not every establishment has the special vibe

All perfect but could do without the background music when very busy

Nice iced lattes and speciality drinks.

I cant give this place what it deserves.. super super super..

Trainee Barista on his own with a queue. He coped really well. I said why are you a trainee? He managed very well. Obviously because he was on his own tables weren't being cleared. Coffee was good, large Americano with extra shot. Generally the place is starting to need refreshing. Shabby furniture etc.

Bloody awful! I think the words hygiene mean nothing to these people. Toilets are filthy and have been for ages... Multiple times I have watched staff pet dogs and give them treats and then carry on serving food without washing their hands! Hospitality also seems to be a foreign concept. The doors are always faulty which means you can't honestly sit and enjoy a coffee in wet or cold weather because it's freezing inside too! Staff are either slow and cheerful or quick and mardy! No happy medium there. Online orders seem to take priority over those who deem to come in and sat down.

Won't be coming any more! Gone up too much coffee ! Toast company better and reasonable price! All Nero 's need decor done ! Material seats Totton dirty!

Went for the usual ‘nice weather day’ walk with a couple of friends and 6 small dogs and, as is our custom, we went into Nero for a coffee and a pastry. The queue was quite long to order but we’d found a space to accommodate all of us and one of us joined the line. There was ONE person serving. Just the one poor man ON HIS OWN! He was absolutely amazing: not one word of complaint, no moaning, no huffing or puffing - and he must have felt under pressure - just service with a very patient smile! I hope this person gets the wages of the three peoples work he was achieving! I guess it’s a hazard of New Years Day that staff are ‘sick’ but really Nero, be kind to those, like the chap working today (1/1/2024), who absolutely go above and beyond! His attitude is the kind that keeps people wanting to go to the establishment! Whoever you are … we thank you for being lovely under stress.

All the staff are tremendous but especially a big shout out to Charlie for always making our family feel welcome. *Edit* The addition of the two new Joe's has been tremendous. Great great staff who go out of their way for their customers. Also you really can tell the difference in coffee shop staff members at who's good and who's not when you taste your coffee, and the two new additions make good coffee!

Nice coffee shop with the usual offerings. Can be very busy with long waiting at times plus the enjoyment of barking dogs!

Was great staff- now a rude individual has joined the team I have this place 5 stars earlier this year. Now it's not such a nice place, so downgraded my grading to one star.

Nice environment for a cup of something nice

Come here very often. Pet friendly which is a massive bonus. Staff are always happy to offer recommendations and provide a polite and welcoming service. Lots of drinks and foods on offer. Seems always fresh. Lots of parking nearby and seating available.

The best coffee and lovely staff and atmosphere. We take our dogs in there after a walk down the old railway line...the staff and customers are so friendly. Wonderful, relaxed atmosphere and they even have books😁 so lovely to feel welcome with our dogs . Perfect!

Went in here on Thursday 1st Dec. The 2 girls serving were delightful. So cheerful, chatty and helpful. Really brightened my day. The trainee looked overwhelmed. Wishing her good luck. The lady training her was so encouraging. Lovely atmosphere. Well done ladies. The Christmas drink was awesome too.

Still a great coffee shop but in all honesty it's needs a little freshening up. It's starting to show it's age now with yellowing paint etc, and the loo really needs an overhaul. The soap dispenser has been broken a long while, and the toilet seat needs either tightening or replacing. The staff as ever are great even though I rarely see the same face two weeks running these days.

Super coffee, delicious panini & friendly staff which is very welcoming, we can take our dog which is a huge plus for us to, the only one thing that let's the whole place down is their awful shared toilet! Very smelly, dirty & an empty soap dispenser which is a terrible shame & can so easily be rectified.

Lovely clean shop ,friendly staff fast quick service. My 2nd visit to date and will he back when next in the area. Well worth a visit for the friendliness and service and prices are good as well 😁

The girl behind the counter was lovely. I didn't think much of the drink tbh (iced pistachio latte) but the experience was nice and I'll definitely be back.

Disappointed. The staff spent ages yapping to a couple who haven't tried a 'Iced Coffee' before, cue the staff preparing a small iced Coffee for the clearly delighted man and woman to sample......whilst the queue swelled behind them and the other staff were chatting to seated customers. The staff also shouted a lot to each other..... An underwhelming experience... and I like Caffè Nero (generally)

Any venue is only as good as its Manager, in my opinion, and the Manager here is seriously hardworking and goes out of his way to make a visit here an extremely pleasant experience, and ensures his staff do so too!!! He's also brilliant at recommending 'new' flavours and combinations to delight the most discerning of palates.

Coffee, and reak while son went have his hair done in Turkish barber.

Our 3rd visit and the best so far. Finally the staff were different and seem friendly. As my favourite coffee shop in Norwich. This store in Sudbury was always disappointing. Mocha served different for some unknown reason

Was on a long road trip and stopped in the small lovely little town of Maldon. Was craving for a cold shake and went inside, the staff were freindly and the guy made us cold mango shakes. Thanks for your service and hopefully see you guys sometime again soon. Thanks xx

Friendly, warm and welcoming staff. First real outing since lockdown restrictions lifted. A taste and smell of normality, delivered by competent and polite staff. Lovely to sit outside in a sheltered spot and enjoy a beautiful cup of coffee and a panini.

Great "Covid secure" service. Friendly staff who are doing everything they can to keep themselves and others safe - plus they're fully explaining the Test and Trace system to customers. Also, the coffee's great. What more could you want from a local coffee shop in 2020?

Visited Sudbury caffe Nero... very expensive.. i was a bit put off from visiting there again due to this and the staff came across rude.. although in there defense it could of been due to the stress of the ongoing covid situation..

Nero's: I love the coffee and happy to pay the price for it (and if it just sold coffee it would be 5*) but everything food based is so overpriced I feel it's extortionate. This branch: So clean and tidy I'd call it spotless, staff are fantastic, they remember my order and I'm not a regular at all, always friendly, always polite and smiling, always treated like a person, I've never had a bad customer experience here and as a result it's my go to coffee shop in Sudbury. It's dog friendly, it's a 'laptop and work' friendly coffice, there's a load of books in there if you fancied a read. the courtyard is a little neglected and could use a freshen up, the decking was a little slippery last time I was out there (but to be fair it was a wet and windy winter day - not normal courtyard weather)
