Nero coffee is the best, but this particular one is operated by sarcastic staff who don't care that customers are trying to board trains. After placing my order I waited so long that I missed my train. When I explained I was in a hurry I was met with a sarcastic response from staff who did nothing to try to improve the situation. I was left with a choice of missing my train or leaving the coffees I paid for. Unacceptable service.

I like Caffe Nero mainly because of their plant based raspberry croissant and coffee is fine. Unfortunately, the last couple of visits mine and my partner's coffee cups have not been filled to the top or near the top. There was over an inch empty on my coffee twice now which makes me not want to buy coffee there anymore. I'll still get the croissant because it is delicious, but will get coffee at Costa, Pret or Starbucks which are all within distance. I also could not find sleeves as the cup was very hot. The sitting area while narrow is nice and pleasant. Service was ok, the cashier and barista were polite and my coffee came out fast, but I did have yo ask 3 times for my receipt, so a little on the distracted side. Wish they had more vegan options.

Came here for a coffee & some bites before we left Edinburgh for Liverpool. The coffee was hot & tasted great. Love the sandwiches as it is so soft & yummy even though cold 😋 The staff worked very hard to clear the queue that never seemed to stop.. some auto machine to help with pre-order will probably help them focus in serving/preparing the orders.

Poor drink and the man behind the counter was extremely rude! Made to feel like an idiot for asking what flavours of milkshakes they had as couldn't see them listed on the board. Then told off for paying with a gift card as he has already pressed the card button despite there being no chance to tell him as he was too busy huffing about having to do his job. For context - I was the only person in the shop and I was very polite. I also work on customer service so know what it can be like but his behaviour was completely uncalled for.

I've always had consistently acceptable experiences at this Nero. Thank goodness! On the plus side; this is a fully stocked Nero, with a chunky range of food, including baked goods and I've never known it to be excluded from marketing offers. Railway locations sometimes are. Also on the plus side are the seats and window ledges as you can probably get a sit-down here. The cafe is just around the corner from the main hubbub of the Station. Even if it's busy in the central area, I'd still try here if I was keen. The coffee, of course, is your standard Nero which puts it above that green omnipresent franchise. On the negative side; I've been during peak time when there's only been one barista in sight. That's not even fair on staff. Even when there's two (there's rarely three) service can feel slow. The baristas here have no doubt been up since the wee hours and are low on energy. I've joined and abandoned the queue due to concerns about the time more than once. All in all; good if you're in a hurry but there are indie coffee places only a few minutes from the station.

I have allergies and can only have the one I asked for (hence me asking for it). After explaining this, and that I would still buy my friends drink, I got even less service (somehow?!) They wouldn't even speak to me, tell me how much my order was, ask how I was paying, no 'thank you', nothing. Went to Costa and had the loveliest experience. I definitely won't bother with that Nero again.

Had a quick cuppa here while waiting for our train on a Sunday afternoon. There wasn't a queue, we were served quickly and we managed to find a little table at the back which was clean. Great service from the friendly staff. Reasonably priced coffees for the location and compared to your other high street coffee vendors. Really enjoyed my Americano and my wife had a tasty latte with a kick. Didn't have anything to eat this visit, but there seemed to be a good selection of tasty snacks and treats available. Recommended for a quick cup of coffee as you're heading to or from your train. It probably could get busy during rush hour, but worth the wait.

Repeatly, they have given me extremely hot coffee, even when I have requested that they don’t overheat the milk. When I buy a latte or other milk drink I expect to be able to drink it straight away. It is not the end of the world if it’s a bit hotter than this, but I certainly shouldn’t be burning my hand through the cup. Even after 10mins of waiting the drink was still too hot to drink without burning my mouth.

Caffè Nero, more like Caffè NO-no. I can't believe I gave this place 5 chances to get my order right, but NOPE. Every single time, I ended up with vanilla when I clearly asked for chocolate. And to top it off, the staff had the audacity to blame ME for their mistake. I mean, come on. I hate vanilla. It's like they weren't even listening to me. Save yourself the frustration and just go somewhere else - maybe even just a different Caffè Nero. At least the coffee is decent once you finally get the right order.

I am so upset with the waitress at Nero right now. I've never had a problem with Nero before and I considered as my favourite Caffe. However, today the waitress refuses to warm for me my almond croissant saying that because of alergene in almond. She proposes to warm any other croissant for me but I ordered an almond one please. It is insane where no one in all the Nero around the UK never refuses to do that for me. An advice for the Nero manager, you should really teach your employees how to deal with customers and do not create their own rules.

Asked for their hazelnut creme frappe. I was given a vanilla milkshake(I really don't like vanilla). I did not have time to ask them to change it because I had to get the train. This is the fourth time I've ordered here and been given the wrong drink. Seriously. Sort it out. I've tried leaving reviews on the app. I normally avoid this Caffe Nero and visit the one on the royal mile as they have an understanding of how to make the drinks. But I didn't have time today and thought I'd try the station because it has been a few weeks since I was last there and given the wrong drink so I thought perhaps it was someone in training. But no. I'm really unimpressed. Caffe Nero can do far better than this. Also staff member was very rude when I ordered and looked at me as though is asked for the moon so I repeated my order to make sure they had heard. Is it that they don't know their own menu? Idk but please please sort it out.

Chaos since table-service disappeared, and massively over-priced. Notices boast of sandwich ingredients grown in the garden, yet the very ordinary sandwiches cost £8.50 each. A simple dish of hummus - a laughable £12.50. The queue bottle-necks from the start at the cold-counter with no visibility of the hot-counter. There is a curious gap between the hot counter and coffee/cakes counter, where customers struggle to balance trays of food, or watch others rightly skip the queue via the gap because they only want coffee/cakes. The toilets are airless, disgusting and too limited for the number of diners.
