Beautiful coffee and superb fresh pastries, I always stop here on my Abbeycentre shopping visits. My kids love it too, the manager is very accomodating to them

Ordered a cake which had a hair in it. It happens and it was replaced so that isn't the reason for the one star review. The staff scowled as I ordered. They just didn't want to be there. I haven't experienced such a lack of charm and such bad manners from staff for a long time.

I wanted to leave a good review because every time I have been in here recently I have been lucky enough to be served by a really lovely, friendly girl named Ursula. Ursula is an amazing asset to this branch of Caffè Nero as she is not only a superb barista but she is also so welcoming, warm & friendly. It really does make ALL the difference as I had a very different experience in this branch previously when I was served a few times by the lady with the Eastern European accent named Monika (I believe she was either a manageress or at least she thought she was!) It’s a real breath of fresh air to go in there now and see the lovely Ursula as you know that, not only will you get a great coffee but also a lovely smile & genuine warmth. Well done Ursula 👏👏 You’re a star 🌟💫 Caffè Nero, please keep Ursula ( & the other good people like her) as she really is a tremendous asset to Caffè Nero & she deserves recognition for going the extra mile.

I have been a regular for some time. I usually sit on my own and read, sometimes I bring a work colleague for lunch. I've grown to really love this place. The staff are super friendly, ive watched them go above and beyond the call of duty with customers, helping those with disabilities taking their food to the tables etc They really are lovely staff, very rare to find such compassion in customer service. The coffee is also beautiful, and although I haven't tested the food it looks great. Ambience is perfect. Only once the bathroom was unclean I mentioned to staff and they cleaned straight away and thanked me for letting them know. Love this place, feels like home !

The staff couldn’t have been more helpful. On 2 recent visits to this cafe I caused problems trying to use vouchers and stamps. Nothing was too much hassle for the staff (different staff members on each occasion) and they went ‘above & beyond’ my expectations in sorting out the issues with a smile and a generous spirit. Thanks so much

There is a foreign female server that has served me at least 5 times when coming into to order food and coffee. EVERY TIME I have been served by her her attitude towards me is condescending, obnoxious and just plain rude. The final straw was today when I asked her if I could have a coffee warmer protector sleeve for my take away cup as there were none at the self service section. I asked her, “may I please have a coffee protector sleeve”, she looked at me with absolute disgust and and replied, “excuse me”, I then repeated what I had asked for and she replied, “PLEASE”!!! I immediately now had, had enough of her rudeness due to past experiences with her and turned around and told her that I was tired of her rudeness towards me and how dare she reply to me to say “PLEASE”. I am the customer and if customers don’t say please and thank you (which I did) they should not be spoken to like that in front of other customers. I contacted Abbeycentre Management to enquire about how to make a complaint and they said I need to speak to the Manager at Cafe Nero who’s name apparently was Monika/Monica. I then called Cafe Nero in Abbeycentre and requested to speak to Monika/Monica however to my surprise when the lady answered the phone o could immediately tell that this was the same lady whom I was making a complaint against. During the phone call, she was rude once again not even knowing I was the same person whom she had served earlier. I would now have to make a formal complaint with Cafe Nero Head Office. As far as I know and have seen that there are three employees that work at the Abbeycentre Cafe Nero as I am a regular. There are two Females and one Male. The lady that is continuously rude does not sound Northern Irish, she sounds Eastern European or Romain or Polish. She is. Why easy to distinguish by the time of her voice.

Visited the Halt recently for a family meal out. The restaurant was quiet, service was adequate. Server was friendly and bar tender also friendly however when I visited the restaurants toilets I was very disappointed as they look as though they have not been cleaned in a very long time. Fake tan marks on toilet seat and feaces on the inner rim of the toilet and bins appeared not to have been emptied in a while and mirror filthy. Made me question the cleanliness of the kitchen this had put me off returning. Hopefully the team at the Halt will improve there cleaning skills as the food is good.

I was shopping in Next today & decided to go for my usual coffee at Ground, which I’ve been doing on a weekly basis for years I needed to use the bathroom beforehand but when I tried to enter the toilets they were locked. A male server shouted over to me that they were for Ground customers only & they required a code to enter. As I started to explain, a female server came over to me & repeated that the toilets were for customer use only. I explained that I WAS a customer but needed to use the ladies before I ordered. As it was lunchtime there was a queue & I needed the toilet immediately, after which I would order. This female server abruptly said “you’ll get the code when you get your receipt!” I tried to explain that I needed the toilet there & then & before I could explain that I am registered disabled she walked off. I was shocked at this behaviour, very embarrassed & walked away. I walked around the mall to use the centre toilets & went into Cafe Nero where I was greeted & welcomed & enjoyed my coffee & cake. The behaviour of the staff in Ground was disgusting, discriminating & totally unacceptable. I will never use this cafe again & will be reporting their actions to the relevant agencies under the Disability Discrimination Act.

Terrible coffee, overpriced. £10 for 2 coffees and a sausage roll with no meat in it. Won't be back. Knew the minute I walked in in it wouldn't be good.

Poor Cleanliness I was shocked by how dirty this restaurant was, despite being almost empty. The floors were filthy, the tables sticky, and even the bathroom was in bad shape. If the visible areas are this dirty, I can only imagine what the kitchen looks like. Definitely won’t be returning.
