Caffe Nero, Caffe Nero, I usually love you But the lavatories here were out of service, What's a girl to do? I legged it to the National Theatre, Sprint though I did not. How lucky I was when I returned That my coffee had stayed hot! ☕

Best internal architecture of any Nero. Some cracking exposed services. Can't use the backdoor, thames side only. Even get to see a man being filmed in the river.

Velvet Americano is really disgusting. We ordered two and we were not able to drink it. Very disappointing and waste of coffee.

Honestly the worst Caffe Nero I've ever been to. Felt really unclean. Wobbly tables, no napkins available, queues for the toilet spilling into the cafe from the passing public.

Aug24- Stopped for small bit to eat for lunch on way to South Bank. They need more bins. Busy and wide range of food options. Great to see outdoor cafe style seating /tables. View to river Thames. Short walk from Blackfriars

Terrible service today. Pretty sure the male server didnt want to be at work. He couldnt be bothered to talk, no welcome, no thanks, no goodbye.. I was more polite than he was. To top it off, I asked for a Tea and he even clarified that it was with milk... I got down the road to find no milk, it was far too strong & I had to throw most of it away. The shop wasnt even busy, no other people were waiting, so If you cant even get a tea correct then that is not acceptable. Maybe some better customer training is in order.

Should be a flagship Cafe Nero as it sits right by the Thames inbetween the Tate Modern and the National Theatre. However the flagships are the ones with heavy footfall at London railway stations. This is a nice Cafe Nero, offering plenty of tables and toilets, but maintaining a calm quiet atmosphere

Recently came here for lunch while visiting London. Great food, great service, great location. Highly recommended if you enjoy a good coffee as well!

Recently came here for food and coffee. Staff members were friendly and helpful. Food was fresh. Tables were mostly dirty however from previous customers. Location is perfectly located right near the Thames River along the Queens Walk.

What an absolute delight to discover this Caffe Nero. Great coffee, friendly staff, sat outside overlooking the Thames and they are open until 22:30. Result.

Closing time is wrong. I visited the place according to Google closing hours but yesterday it just closed 07.30 pm. When I asked a person he advised the check the times right at the door. That's why I advise you to revise your timing in google. Because, this situation causes incorrect planning of the customer's visit.

Busy and a bit messy. Coffee 6/10 Tables not regularly cleaned and needed to be wiped down by us before using.

I came to the shop at 9 30 0.m. and it was already shut.Shop assistant saw me, but they did not open the door.The working hrs on website state its open till 10 p.m. and I was walking 40 min from another shop to get my staff from Nero. Bad service, very misleading.

Walking by the river, we stop for a coffe. Barista Fatima was great - she made perfect cappuccino and excellent latte. She was very welcoming, smiling and chatty. Thank you Fatima for being great😎

Quite a large Café with upstairs seating. Very busy when we arrived but managed to share a table with another couple. Coffee offering up to the usual standard for a Caffe Nero with a good selection of toasties, sandwiches and cakes. As ever my usual bugbear with these types of establishment is the tables are not cleared quickly enough with cups and plate piled on top of each other. The toilet (yes only one) was also in a poor state, and not just because it was dirty from customers.

Nice place to stop for a drink and snack by the river, the single loo for quite a large shop isn't ideal.

I stopped by while walking along the river Thames with my friend. It was very cold outside, so we were able to take a break and warm up. The staff were so kind, it warmed my heart.

Coffee too bitter, tea not what was requested, porridge cold and runny. Tables dirty despite there being few customers. And no toilets.

Regular, el servicio bastante bien, pero si quieres ir al baño tienes que salir del local e ir bastante lejos a unos baños públicos y sucios…

Food was dry, coffee was so so. Service was horrible. This place is for tourists where no regulars should go.

A place where you can sit by the Thames and have a coffee or get a great coffee to go. The staff is friendly and helpful. It's worth sitting down and drinking a Cappuccino or a double espresso.

This is the one by the National Theater on South Bank. The place was spacious and there were outdoor seatings on the back side. The barister was friendly and efficient. I only ordered a Mocha with oatmilk. It was delicious. The place was clean and there is a bathroom in this cafe

A good place to grab a coffee. The on in the Oxo tower is a little manic and dilapidated but the staff offer a good service. Didn't wait long for drinks.

De espresso is redelijk. De Americano te slap, ondanks het verzoek om weinig water. Blijkbaar maakte een 'leerling' deze. Het is rommelig. Ik heb zelf het tafeltje af moeten ruimen.

Just stopped for moccacino. Batista recommended the new espresso (El Salvador?). Was quite good.

The staff were super helpful! Ten stars! We left a phone on one of the seats, and the next morning they had it in the back office and gave it back to us. Honest people exist, and they are here at Caffe Nero. Thank you!

The barista was not very motivated to serve the long line of customers. He was having private conversations with colleagues, was working very slow and gave a rude answer to my question about a drink.

Oh yeah that’s life, deal with it. That’s how we make so much money! By swindling our customers and providing really terrible and slow service in a bland and dirty environment. Please come again! Happy friendly great staff, great work

Not one to write reviews but I really do not warm to one of the current managers here; overly keen to chat with some of the female customers (myself and other customers I saw come in after me) and unnecessarily, embarrassingly rude to the male customers (bad case of a God complex). Place closes at 10pm, I got there at 7 and he’d already blocked off over half the seating area & the toilet — a few people tried to use it and once again , unnecessarily rude and condescending. Fully blocked off where we were sitting **whilst** we were sitting in it. Used to enjoy coming to this cafe as an evening study spot, rest assured I won’t be coming back! In my hour sitting there the atmosphere was unpleasant, overly involved in our private conversation and generally just left people feeling uncomfortable. Acted like he was running a bar rather than a coffee shop 😭

my order arrived i ordered frappe/milkshakes and got half full cups of ice lattes with syrup in a small cup and some form of powder in the other not at all what i asked for

Standard Caffe Nero with all the usual menu selections. There are more imaginative eating and drinking options further down the Thames Path, but when I was there it had the benefit of being half empty. There are a few outdoor tables round the back, though I thought inside was nicer.

The cappuccino and croissant was good.

The review will be contradicted as we’ve been going to this Nero actually often, because it’s in a nice location, spacious, it has good music and nice ambiance. However we never use the toilet as it’s disgusting…even if we wanted to, last time was out of service for weeks…the staff is very slow, regardless if it’s only like 3 people in line. They have 2-3 staff but only one takes the order and makes the coffee even if it’s busy. I understand there are many other things to do, but any other places prioritise customer service and the staff would help each other when it is busy, and not letting 1 person to do everything …It’s frustrating for the barista and the customers too. The system is weird in regards paying. Every other place I go, you give your order, pay, step aside and get the drink after. Here you don’t pay until you get the drink so the line would not move, you can’t even sit down until your drink is done. The tables don’t seem to be cleaned frequently. But all in all, once we have our drink and sit down, the view and atmosphere are enjoyable.

Nice quiet spot to enjoy a coffee in the sun just yards away from the hustle & bustle of the south bank walkway.

Breath of freshness in a hot afternoon! I tried the Pistachio Iced Latte and the Salty Carmel Cheesecake! Delicious and can recommend it! The Cafe has a welcoming flair and the people are very kind! Thumbs up!

Its a cafe Nero in a very busy location all of your following assumptions based on this knowledge would be correct You will spend a good while waiting for coffee which is better than most chains but worse than most independents It is also very dark which is fine but am interesting choice considering how bright and airy the location surrounding it is, has a strange underground feel

Disgusting behaviour of the staff which is quite unusual for London in our experience. One and a half hours prior to closing time refused to serve food, were upset over an order of an iced coffee, closed the toilet and refused to open it, the place was dirty and extremely badly maintained. Lazy and rude staff. There are way better locations of cafe Nero or other coffee chains nearby.

One of the few places in London I was able to order a quad-shot Latte without raised eyebrows. Lovely Pastries. Husband, starved for a coffee shop that actually “smelled like coffee” was very pleased with my find.

Nice coffee and cakes but typically of most coffee joints. Most of the staff appear to be baristas in training though. There was a queue outside the toilet all the time we spent here!

I've given this Nero 3 stars overall because despite having 3 staff, 2 trainees and a manager on site... there were numerous piles of used cups, plates and cutlery around the café. No excuse for that kind of laziness, which just ruins the mood/experience. I enjoy Nero but would not recommend this branch over others.

The atmosphere feels cosy, esp I went there on a very cold and wet day.

Excellent coffee in a proper ceramic cup. The first proper cup of coffee for some while. Paper cups make the coffee rare foul. Also nice and warm with good service.

Went for coffee on boxing day.. the mess in the toilet is disgusting. Last check they done 8.22 am.. we here 20.22…. Please avoid. Never stop here again.
