Caffe Nero in Warrington

The service in this place is terrible! The manager leaves one person with a queue of 6+ customers waiting for a drink whilst she merchandises (in a fashion) and sticks stickers on stuff. The staff are slow, unprofessional and all look unhygienic, dirty fingernails, long scraggy hair not even tied up or back and creating an overall scruffy, un-inviting look and atmosphere.

I've been a regular at Café Nero in Warrington for a while, drawn by their consistently great coffee. However, my recent visits have been quite disappointing due to several ongoing issues. Firstly, the cleanliness of the café is lacking. Dust, dirt, and grime are prevalent throughout the building, including the outdoor seating, indoor areas, and especially the toilets. It's not a pleasant environment to relax in. Moreover, there has been a noticeable change in customer service recently. The new manager is quite rude and impatient, as are some of the staff. For instance, I experienced irritation from the manager when I paid for two coffees using different apps, and I was made to wait over ten minutes for porridge with an impatient tone. Another server also displayed a lack of courtesy when they served me the wrong coffee size and didn't correct the mistake when asked. While grabbing a takeaway coffee is still a bearable experience due to the quality of the coffee, sitting in has become a frustrating ordeal. Unfortunately, I think this may be the last straw for me, and I'll be exploring other independent cafés in the area where service and cleanliness are taken more seriously. I hope Café Nero addresses these issues soon, as it would be a shame to lose more loyal customers over these avoidable problems.

This was not our first visit but may well be the last!! Why is this Caffe Nero consistently so much worse than the others we visit in the North West? Today there was only one member of staff working causing a small but slow queue, yet I could see another member of staff sat behind the counter eating whilst chatting to her colleague!!! Not a good look!! We finally got served but our 2 large skinny mochas with extra shots and winter blend were awful!! They tasted weird and were only lukewarm. This is not the first time we have had poor service and poor quality drinks from this particular branch of Caffè Nero. In fact everytime we go we say it will be the last time. Why is this branch so bad - it feels neglected, it looks and feels dirty and the service and drinks are always poor. Only last week we had exactly the same drinks from Caffè Nero at the Trafford Centre and they were hot and delicious!! The whole point of chains is you get to know what to expect and you expect the standard to be replicated every time you visit.

The two Baristas were polite, friendly and clearly rushed off their feet, serving a long line of customers and cleaning tables. My coffee was made as I asked with an extra shot and with whole milk. I sat upstairs on a table near the bannister rail. I had sat in the same seat five weeks earlier when I first noticed the dust. The bannister was thick with the stuff so I wrote "Please clean me" with my finger. When I returned last week after a gap of five weeks my writing was still there, itself partially covered in new dust. The management is to blame, not the baristas; they should employ a cleaner asap.

I’m new to Caffè Nero but I have to say I think this is my new haunt for a hot beverage. All staff are very friendly and helpful. Good Job!!

Zero atmosphere. Slow service. We gave it a try. We wont be back.... Zero Nero. Travel from Wales every 2 weeks.

I have been coming here at least once a week for many years. Always had great staff and coffee. Food good too! But it has been closed for 3 days now with a notice saying it is closed until further notice? Does anyone know what's happening?

Called into golden square cafe nero. Lovely place. Pleasant staff . Only downfall is dogs being allowed in.. this cafe also sells food and I don't think dogs should be allowed in. On my visit there was a dog close to me. All it did was sit and scratch.. this isn't hygienic for a coffee shop. It has put me off wanting to go on again and I am a regular once or twice a week... staff should not allow animals inside..

I sat down with my hot drink and muffin at the Warrington Town center cafe and a couple with a large dog came in and they sat down opposite me with their coffee, the dog was lovely and very well behaved but not long after I left my foot itched and I noticed I had been bitten, possibly by a flea. Cafe Nero has no objection to owners bringing their dogs into their eating and drinking establishments but they really need to think about fumigating the premises if they continue to turn a blind eye to the health and safety of their customers.

Not good. Coffee too weak, poor flavour. Coffee remade. Wasn't much better. First and last time at cafe Nero. Staff fine.

This is my coffee fix, the coffee is always spot on and the staff are always friendly. Although Warrington has an abundance of coffee shops this one has seating outside in the fresh air as well as decent seating inside. Facility's are always clean and tidy.

On entering there was 1 customer being served . A trainee was making drinks another girl was standing about and the man who appeared to be in charge was talking to the customer. I was totally ignored and the manager and other customer continued to talk about the customers business, discussing the menu , freebies and looking at pictures on a phone. After about 10 mins the customer sensing i was getting impatient said oh are you waiting to be served , the manager looked as if i had just sprung up out of thin air. I will admit i said no i was their for the good of my health , i mean it was obvious i was waiting to be served as i had items in my hand. The customer was extremely abusive and still the manager said nothing , no apology for the wait or for not acknowledging me. He continued his conversation for another 5 mins then started staring at me ,which i took to mean he was eventually ready to take my order. I got no thank you or anything. Will never be going back there . That guy is not manager material and i felt really sorry for the trainee who was just left to get on with it. Disgusting .

This is a nice branch of Café Nero. I've not visited recently, however I highly doubt much has changed since my previous visit. The staff here are friendly and efficient, with one member of staff even remembering my usual order on a number of occasions, which exemplifies great customer service! The furnishings are upscale and the upstairs area in particular is very cosy and pleasant. The general cleanliness of this place is also very good, with staff keeping on top of cleaning and clearing dirty tables, which is always good to see. If seated downstairs, you can also do a nice bit of people watching through the big glass windows, if that floats your boat! Having said that, the sight is sometimes curtailed, as sometimes all you see is members of staff from other stores smoking outside, which is not the most pleasant view I appreciate! There are just a few shortcomings to note. First of all, this is not the best place if you wish to be frugal with your cash. Whilst the price of the hot drinks is generally in line with what other coffee shops charge, the snacks are generally quite expensive. This is commonplace is all Café Nero outlets, I believe. Also, the variety is sometimes a bit limited snack-wise, with this place honing in on more luxurious and fancy snacks as its general offering, which may suit some, but may aggravate some. The staircase going upstairs is also quite narrow and steep, so please take extra care if carrying a heavy tray of hot drinks upstairs. Having said that, there is ample seating downstairs and outside if the British weather holds up. Please note that if sitting outside, you often get a lot of people smoking which may not be ideal for you. It should also be noted that because the outdoor seating area finds itself right by the enterance, you sometimes have to walk through a swathe of billowing cigarette smoke in order to enter the establishment, which can curtail the otherwise pleasant experience of sipping coffee. Overall, I enjoy visiting this franchise of Café Nero, from time to time. It should be noted that it is not located inside the Golden Square shopping centre itself - it's just on the outside part, so make sure you don't miss it. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting the Golden Square who needs a hot drink and a snack!

I’ve been coming here for 8 years and I’ve never once had a bad coffee. The rewards program is fab, the staff are always nice considering how busy it normally is. Fantastic outdoor seating area and loads of space upstairs. Fave place to chill, drink my coffee and people watch.

I frequently visit for coffee and love the fact that the service is always quick and spot on. The staff remember you and always know what you want.

Love the staff at Nero, make you feel very welcome and they always remember what I drink. I go early in the morning when they open and a few regular people go and we all have banter. It's clean and food is always presented good. BUt every Nero cafe is so welcoming.

This the first time we visited Caffe Nero in Warrington we were impressed it as just been refurbished ideal place to go if you want a snack and a nice cup of coffee and a piece of cake and the staff are really friendly and wecoming

Very pleasant staff, being a regular they know what drink I have. Always a good place to relax in the morning, plenty of nice cakes to try.

Everything sticks, the tables and even the window sills upstairs. Please get a good and frequent cleaner in, to make this very well located place really enjoyable. You deserve better.

It's one of the very few places left in the town since Border's closed that you can feel comfortable enough to settle down and write. The upstairs room is better though it;s not easy to climb the steep narrow staircase clutching a laptop, a full mug of hot coffee and a plate of cake ...Still, once you're up there you can work quietly. I was a little anxious about leaving my laptop unguarded while I went to the loo or ordered another drink but all was well. Had the benefit of quiet jazz playing too. Friendly, warm, quiet, good coffee - what's not to like?

My wife and I called Wednesday 21.11.2018 around lunchtime. Coffee and service was fine. However, I chap brought a dog in left it with his wife and went shopping. It was definitely not a guide dog?? Won't go again if dogs are allowed which is a pity because the coffee was really nice and tasty.

The staff here are very professional and helpful. Coffee always really hot. Good outside seating area.

I sat in a comfortable chair in the Nero cafe, 324, by the glass window looking at a chair which should be put in a skip whilst listening to free music. Free music in Warrington Town centre which is on until 11pm on the 5/5/18.

Often come here to meet friends. Lovely quiet area upstairs. The lemon cheesecake is heavenly with a mocha.

Whenever I visit the staff here are so welcoming and friendly the excellent customer service stands out. Coffee is great, plenty of seating it’s always clean and tidy even though it can get very busy. I called in this morning and the young man serving was a joy to chat too, put me in a great mood for the day, and I agree with him- the Roasted Hazelnut Hot Chocolate is just like warm liquid Nutella. The only reason I have not given 5 stars is because they are part of a chain, I like local but that’s more about me than anything else.

These guys always do excellent coffee, in particularly keen on their caramel latte, it's fantastic. Also the staff are always nice and very friendly.

Me gusta caffe nero y yo siempre tenemos café con hielo, pero esta vez ella hizo poner mi caramelo, en la parte de arriba de la crema y que quería en mi café. El frappe batidos no eran muy buenos y mi hijo no me gustó. Era como una vez y me pareció que sería un batido y con espuma. El único miembro del personal que estaba trabajando ese día también lleno un latte que pedimos y no se propagan por todas partes. Vuelva porque su café es mejor que la de otros lugares.

Have visited here a few times, Coffee is average and compares to other Caffè Nero places. Plenty of seating inside and outside. Haven't eaten here so can't comment on food.

Caffe Nero tiene una variedad de bebidas calientes y frías para todos los gustos. Elegí un Grande Latte en mi última visita. Hacía calor, espumosos y muy sabroso. Frothiest latte I've ever seen/tasted over burned milk,standard selection of processed cakes, paninis etc like in any other similar business chain branch. Tables didn't appear that clean,even though it wasn't that busy. The girl behind the counter was too chatty,and there was another fella with a piercing nose that by the looks of it was the manager (and I use that term lightly) that was too young (inexperienced) to be in that position,his lack of know how was evident. Classical music playing was a complete contrast with the staff service.First time serviced at a Neros and definitely the last.

Firstlyi tengo que decir que soy un gran fan de cafe Nero en general. Yo bebo en uno todos los días. Mi Lunes a Viernes es excelente. Mis visitas de fin de semana son a donde me encuentro. He estado un par de veces y me cuesta conseguir un café hecha correctamente he pedido. Me gusta un wet extra caliente latte. Tengo un café con leche normal casi siempre. No sé por qué mi café (Calle Santa Elena regular lo hace brillantemente cada vez) y algunos otros lucha con él. Dos veces en esta tienda el personal no sabía lo que era un bar café con leche. El personal es educado y trabajan duro, ya que está ocupado, pero en definitiva estoy pagando un buen precio para un café de mi elección y me gustaría como me pidió. Este no es un evento. Hoy después de otro orden que se dignó incluso considerado ir a un voltean Costa. Ahora para mí es en verdad un problema.

Hard-working staff means that waiting time is reduced to the minimum. Good choice of drinks and cakes. Superb coffee.

It's nice cafe but if you don't mind waiting in the line for a few minutes. The staff are nice and friendly and will do anything for customers that are in there.

Great pot of tea and enough for two cups, large coffee and the latttes are one of the best I have tasted, no bitterness. The staff are very friendly and the croissants are very fresh.

Just came here for a little rest after some shopping with my baby and partner. The male member of staff at the till was very helpful and friendly. Lovely cakes and drink.

I've been with my friend there. Everything was allright but the staff listened loudly to hard metal music in front of customers. And also they were dancing with their heads. I hope it will be better in near future.

Elle, Emily, Will, Nathan, James and the rest of the team at Nero Warrington town center is what makes this not just another high street coffee chain but a fantastic local cafe. Their service, attitudes and welcoming personalities are they key to why they have such a large regular customer base, myself included.

Tengo que admitir que la esposa y yo solemos visitar un rival cafetería cerca de éste que quedará anónimas pero, en esta ocasión nuestra habitual Haunt estaba lleno, así que le di caffe Nero a prueba por primera vez.

Great coffee shop. Friendly staff & plenty of seating should you wish to sit in. Another good option should Costa be overrun & queuing out the door. Don't wait in line, try Caffe Nero.

Gran Café Nero 2 pisos, con un montón de mesas en el nivel superior si no se puede encontrar una forma adecuada en la planta baja.

Hay un montón de tiendas de café en la zona, pero este es el que elija visitar más a menudo. Una gran zona de asientos al aire libre donde se puede ver el mundo pasar. Ellos hacen un precioso blanco plana aunque no está en el menú?!

Caffe Nero en Warrington es exactamente lo mismo que cualquier otra rama de Caffe Nero, pero al estar en una plaza peatonal se puede sentarse fuera y beber su café sin ruido ni agotar los vapores que molesten. Nuestro café y chocolate caliente eran perfectamente aceptables y exactamente lo que esperábamos, y el barman era amable y eficiente. Me gustaría haber ninguna razón para no volver si alguna vez encontré en Warrington.
