Caffe Nero in Richmond upon Thames - Phone Number, Reservations, Reviews

On my last two visits to this cafe, whilst the service is always good, the toilet facilities leave much to be desired. It is clear that a regime of regular checks and cleaning is not in place. It appears that many non-customers are using and abusing the facilities. This is extremely disappointing and when I next visit I think I’ll need a biohazard suit!

We came here for coffee and although the tables were quite far apart, there was no cleaning of tables done for the time we were there. In addition one of the customer toilets was out of order. There were a few people milling about round the tables and one of the tables was right beside the toilets so that the people at the table were very close to the queue. What really turned my stomach was a table of four who sat a toddler on the table - just gross. Hope the nappy wasn't dirty! Then the got her to walk on the floor in her socks. Luckily they didn't put her back on the table. Not good. Staff totally oblivious.

I popped in here one morning for a coffee and sausage sandwich. I was impressed with the spaciousness of it all and the lovely seating. The staff were really helpful and I thought this was a lovely Cafe Nero.

A large and pleasant coffee shop with comfy seating serving the usual high quality coffee and fresh, tasty pastries. The apricot croissant is a particular favourite of mine,

but slow in clearing tables, so often place looks pretty untidy, lots of workers and students sucking up the wifi but makes for a nice atmosphere, just needs to keep on top of clearing away cups and trays. Toilets need a bit more attention.

We visited Cafe Nero, Richmond at about 10:00 in the morning on Monday 13 May. At this peak hour, there was one trainee barista behind the counter. It took far too long to finish the wrong order. The toilets were foul and filthy, and have always been but have been increasingly worse. Compared to other cafe Neros, Richmond is by far the dirtiest and shocking, given that food and drink are prepared on the premises. The floor and the toilet door are both heavily stained. The cleaning rota behind the door shows that it had not been cleaned on Monday at all despite cafe Nero being open since 6:30 in the morning.

I am a regular here. I like Cafe Nero coffee and croissants and this is a good branch. Staff are generally friendly, the ambiance is fine and the loos are OK. It is beside Waitrose and a good place for a coffee after shopping. They have a loyalty scheme that gives a free cup of coffee after nine. If you bring your own cup, you get two stamps on your card.

It’s always lovely to come here. Nice and clean tables, stylish interior. From my point of view it more feels like an individual coffee shop than just one of the Caffe Neros.

No complaints about the staff who were quick & friendly, or the coffee which tastes just like it does in every other one of these places BUT I was surprised to find this coffee shop grubby. Actually the whole place is shabby and in desperate need of a refit. It's unusual actually as most CN's are generally in pretty good order and in this location I would have expected much better. Withhold your business til they get it sorted as there are many other, and better, options very close by.

It is a very cozy café, the staff are very friendly, the coffee is excellent. A nice place to spend time with your friends with coffee :)

Usually dirty , unfriendly staff whom are clearly short staffed and n need of assistance . Tables are constantly left grubby and unclean .

Came here for a light lunch, the soup and the wrap were nice. the place did look a bit unclean but otherwise fine. We sat outside as it was lovely.

At twickenham for the rugby Walked to Richmond to get the district line back into town Freezing!! Popped into cafe Nero for a toilet break and a brew to warm up Nice coffee and friendly service Toilets not great but I reckon they'd seen a lot of traffic today also tables needed a wipe and the floor a sweep - again it was late in the day and they had clearly been busy so maybe I should cut them some slack

Nice atmosphere and lots of space to relax. Food and drink pretty standard fare for this type of place. Good selection of hot and cold sandwiches. Only slight frustration was that some of the staff preferred to banter amongst themselves rather than process our order. So we had to repeat it three or four times as the girl at the till kept breaking off to chat. When I asked for a receipt just to check she had entered everything correctly she did not know how to do this and her colleague had to help. Perhaps better training in basics and attitude required? Other than this (fairly minor) annoyance, all was fine and we will be back.

Nice spacious Caffe Nero, and only one in the Richmond area as far as I know, seemingly frequented mostly by couples and older ladies with dogs. Did have an Italian family there when I visited so that must be a good sign. Good coffee too and lovely patient staff.

Começava minha manhã todos os dias com o mocha do Nero , enquanto checava meus emails. Atendimento atencioso , lugar calmo, descolado e tranquilo , sempre com uma musica de bom gosto no fundo !

Excelente ubicación en la calle alta grande y espacioso interior con algunos asientos en el exterior a la sombra de la tarde. Diferentes tipos de asientos y algunos sillones.

Gran ambiente. Solía venir aquí a trabajar los fines de semana y entre semana la mayoría cuando tuve tiempo para. El personal es muy amable, pero a veces no hablan un poco más para no molestarnos que a los clientes. Le doy una clasificación más elevada si el hygenine era mejor porque todo lo demás es bastante bueno.

As Caffe Nero's go the Richmond branch is a highlight of the chain, a clean and highly professional and friendly staff make this a worthwhile visit. An intimate branch within easy reach of the station and shops in Richmond.

Staff don't greet people. Just throw the change back to you, no thank you at all. The worse kind of attitude and service i've seen from a coffee shop.

Management needs to apply the same standards as their coffee and service to cleaning the caffe. The skirting boards, floor corners and the comfy chairs and sofas' cushion gaps have built up crumbs, dust & spill marks. Off putting but easy to fix!

I often pop into Café Nero after shopping in Waitrose, which is nearby.Staff are friendly and the croissants and cakes are good as is the coffee.The café is quite large and it is often busy so service is sometimes quite slow...but I like it there and will return.

Beautiful hot chocolate served at the Caffe Nero in South Kensington, great service and nice atmosphere.

My favourite thing about Caffe Nero in Richmond is the space of the place. It is so big, not crammed and has got lots of power plugs for laptops. The staff is very nice and they seem to be working very well together. This is why this is my favourite place to go on an early Sunday morning for a nice cup of coffee or a hot chocolate while checking some emails or reading the paper… :)
