Cafe Nero always the best coffee house.

Called in for a coffee and a pastry. Met by friendly staff, great service. A really good way to spend some time. Would recommend.

Got served by the tall guy with glasses, I think his name was Herny. They made a nice latte but Burnt the Kitchen down in plate up, twice! Will come back again due to amazing customer service.

Hot chocolate was nice and the food OK

Drinks not great, could be hotter & the powdered content thoroughly mixed in. Tables not cleared, did that myself. Sticky & covered with crumbs. Staff refering to customers as 'mate' & 'hun'. My first & last visit.

Enjoyed it. We had Cappucino and biscuits. Staff were Lovely, We were at Altrincham Branch.

Love their coffee. The food options are fresh and delicious. The staff there are quite friendly too. Whether you're looking for a place to work or just to relax, this cafe is perfect. Highly recommended!

This is my favorite store in the world, the staff are just so hilarious and friendly and spectacular that i just keep thinking about going there almost every day. Not only is the staff outstandingly great but their drinks are so full of flavor that my taste buds explode when i take a sip. I would absolutely recommend this store to everybody!!!

Seem chronically understaffed- cups and plates not cleared away, often close upstairs seating, give takeaway cups to avoid washing up. I like the coffee, food generally overpriced.

This is a friendly cafe with great service, cheerful staff and tasty drinks. Been a few times recent weeks. Most recently Friday morning had the routine HoneyOatLatte and almond butter porridge. both were great. See photo of mobile office breakfast. The porridge scored a Goldilocks10. Staff brought it over to table very quickly with a friendly smile. Previous time, the lone barista was working like she had 6 arms with a queue and still made a porridge on the side, and the creamiest headed latte ever in no time, was so cheerful and chatty despite as she did! Other times also always been just as happy with the service and food/drink. The cafe is comfortable and clean and is a great place to do bit of early morning laptop work, sets the day up perfectly. Wish it was OK to go in more mornings.

I had to come on defend this neros cafe in altrincham after reading the previous review . I come in most mornings before work , they open 7.30am with a queue . only two members of staff on all pastries and furniture outside to start the day . I have always been served with a friendly smile and my order is always correct . If you do have a problem they always sorted .

Worst of the worst. You never get what you actually order and pay for. Waiters and baristas are incompetent and service is awful. Just attached photos of their so called pistacio latte and frape. Barely tastes like pistachio at all. Previously tried "luxury " hot chocolate which was basically warm milk with a bit of cocoa. They also charge you more than official price. What a shame cafes like this one exist at all.

Been a couple of times first thing in the morning and the team are absolutely spot on. Shop is clean, well maintained, looked after and the staff are always engaging and conversational. See you again!

Nice friendly, welcoming staff was knowledgeable in the coffee that they sell. Will definitely visit again maybe with my friend rather than my grumpy SEN teenager 🤣.

Regular hot coffee in a real cup is always a bonus for me. I feel its time for the company to spend a little money and sharpen up the Altrincham branch

I go to Nero regularly and keep returning, so clearly like it and the cafes are generally in a handy position so are convenient to drop in. This branch is a bit tired looking and I find in general branches of Nero could be cleaner and I avoid using the toilet as they tend to be smelly and not that clean, with non customers treating them as public conveniences! Oh and I've noticed cake slices getting smaller! Main thing is, Nero has a familiarity that draws me back and I like the mozzarella panini when hungry. There is a welcoming atmosphere but then again I love the smell of decent coffee which makes me feel at home! I like to sit in the window and people watch but it's not often those seats are free.

The food is OK, I think the baristas, despite being quite friendly, must train more to make better drinks. Pricey food but as many in the area. Will be back for a quick hot drink

Ordered on Uber eats. 2 of the items I ordered didn't come through and I was charged £2.85 for a very small slice of banana cake.

We took some family members here recently and to say disappointed is putting it mildly. The reason for this review is probably down to lack of staff as we know it is difficult to get staff at present and there where only two staff on, who to be fair where very pleasant and helpful indeed and very overworked, but come on guys, the floors where terrible, tables dirty and the old trick of saying the dishwasher is not working in order to save on the washing up and giving us cardboard cups is getting long in the tooth. I have excellent coffee at home and a clean relaxing atmosphere too so when I go out to pay for coffee and dessert especially with family or friends I would expect the experience to be at least the same. It will be some time before we come back I'm sorry to say. If you are the owner you should think twice before opening the doors to the public if you don't have the staff for the day or you can expect a poor review. Why not pay over the odds and get more staff, I know this eats into your profits but trust me they are being eroded anyway, we spent £23 for decent coffee in paper cups, we have coffee out at least twice a week you have lost this custom for quite some time now and who knows how many more, I am not prepared to stand for second best usually but to be so embarrassed with family is not a good feeling. I took some photos of the mess on the floor but decided not to post them.

Good, cosy atmosphere, quick service, delicious, hot coffee. Bit tricky with the seating, not a great deal of space downstairs and there is an upstairs area but hard to know if there are spaces without going up carrying trays of hot coffee. My son loves the toasties!

I have been going to cafe Nero's for a few years now and I find the coffee very tasty and effective. It's also a good place to meet friends and bump into the usual suspects. As I have been going there recently I have noticed a new team of staff who are becoming very well established with customers, in particularly there is a charming young lady who works there called Mars I just can't get over her natural stream of politeness a genuine well brought up young lady with a lovely welcome and smile . This + the coffee = 5 🌟

We got two Coconut Flat White’s and sat out in the sunshine. The Barista made our drinks the PERFECT temp. Would recommend

I got a hot chocolate (deluxe) and it was honestly the best I've ever had. I would recommend this place to anyone with its range of drinks that are all absolutely delicious.

Very rude behaviour by barista guy. Have been to many other Caffè Nero but this place was pathetic. I have ordered luxury hot chocolate he ended up serving me a lukewarm cup of drink. I was suppose have it inside restaurant ( I mentioned it) but he ended serving me in a ' to go' cup, when I asked him to change, he just pour it as quickly as possible into other mug aggressively, which was dirty with chocolate stains on the outside of the mug. I paid £3.70 for this rude service. I have returned hot chocolate , never ever....going back to this place. Such a rude staff...!!

Bit disappointing as we waited over 10 mins at the till to get our order as the barista was prioritising an Uber order over people waiting at the till and there was a queue. I get that you have to serve everyone however the cafe should then be staffed accordingly. Enjoyed our coffee and breakfast once it was served.

Nice food, decent prices, decent range

I have been frequenting 'Nero's' in Altrincham for many years, because the coffee is of a high standard, and the ambiance is quite relaxed. I would often meet clients there in the upstairs part of the cafe. However, recently things seem to have slipped. The surroundings have been allowed to become tired, & whilst I appreciate a major revamp isn't feasible in these troubled times, a lick of paint here & there would freshen the place up. My major gripe recently though is the lack of heating. Since late December until now everyone is sitting with their coats & scarves on! I mentioned this to a member of staff & they agreed it was cold, but they couldn't do anything about it. Sitting in a cold cafe in January is pretty miserable, so as there are plenty of coffee house in Altrincham we have relocated.

Love coming here, it's my go to in Alti if I want a large mug of tea. You can sit and work in comfortable surroundings. My only criticism is that the toilets need updating. Come on Nero let's get this sorted as it's been like that for at least 5yrs!

This is my local! I always get a warm welcome from the staff and the coffee is better than everywhere else. A great place to meet up for a chat first thing.

Staff very friendly and the coffee was nice. Went to the toilet to find not very clean. No toilet roll and the hand dryer was not working. Lots of tables need clearing .

Very poorly organised. No sign of a staff cleaning regime. No attempt to distance customers whilst they are seated. There was one long bench with tables every 3 feet. Even when there were only 3 parties seated none of the staff were cleaning or even clearing tables. A very disappointing experience when compared to a visit to a competitor earlier The tea was very good though.

Great. Lovely young chap served me. Made my son a delicious vanilla shake and as there was some leftover he poured into a separate cup and gave it me as otherwise would have gone down sink. Great service as always.

This Cafe Neto definitely needs a refit. Looks very shabby and considering the proximity to M and S and others good shops not really good.

Plenty of seating with an upstairs space. The brand is not as good as it used to be though. Coffee not the best.

Friendly staff next to the market

Most of the Independent coffee shops were packed, and we needed a coffee while shopping in Altrincham. Nero was fairly quiet, so enjoyed the swift service and good coffee !

First of all the four photos shown for this store are definitely NOT the Shaw's Road, Altrincham store. I am a regular visitor to this store each weekday morning and although there has been the expected turnover of staff over the years there is no drop in standards and all staff quickly recognise regulars and ask if I want my usual. Service is always good here and I do like Caffe Nero ahead of Costa and miles ahead of Starbucks. Coffee is always spot on in taste, although it can vary between different barista in terms of frothiness of my Latte or how much the cup is filled but I forgive that as I like the coffee and the staff..
