Great choice of gelato and good quality. Great for a special treat.

I visited the place today, the staff are awesome, they even sang a birthday song for my inlaw with just a short notice, they really made our day. Cool atmosphere, warm restaurants, I just love everything about their service.

I wanted to order Nutella ice cream with waffles but then the staff got me just ice cream with cone. I thought they would serve me ice cream and waffles separately. But they think is waffle cone. I ask them for Waffles but then they said that they don't have it. I ask them for an explanation then the staff said they don't know how to make one. When it says it on the menu that it's has waffles. The ice cream was nice but I think they can show their customer service skills a lot better.

My friend and I have been eating in cafe gelato since it opened. I have to say I have tried many different meals and I have never been disappointed at the food as it’s always cooked fresh. The staff are very friendly too. Lovely clean place to enjoy lovely food. Vegan food is very nice too. And the burgers.

Love this place for a dessert the gelato is very nice with lots of flavour. Pizzas are fresh and cooked to perfection. My favourite is the panini's, so tasty and make my mouth water for the next bite.

Service was slow, food was very good but they did forget to send an order to the kitchen then laughed it off and sent another dessert to our table, which was swiftly exchanged for a cash refund

I ordered a ladbible burger, which is normally fantastic. The site listing does not mention salad or avocado. However, when the burger arrived it contained onion pieces (which I can't eat) and avocado (which I also avoid).

the wrong flavours of ice cream were delivered again!

Ordered a waffle and 2 cookie dough from Uber eats. Driver left the waffle so rang up cafe gelato and this gent answered the phone saying he’ll deliver it to me himself. Lovely guy came on his bike. Tried to tip him but he refused. Absolutely lovely man and amazing customer service.

The delivery man was very quick and took very good care of my food, he protected it like it was his own :)

Popped in today for lunch .we ordered lates and the mushroom pizza coffees were lovely ..the pizza was ridiculasly good ..lots of cheese and mushrooms and piping hot ..we thought it was a really good price aswell..we'll be back

What a place! This is a dream location to bring the family. Friendly staff and friendly atmosphere coupled with amazing tasting food and literally ice cream to die for Highly recommended

We only went in for two cones and a coffee, they sat us at the table that apparently was reserved, took them over 15 minutes to complete the order, but we were asked to leave the table 5 minutes later. Also floor could use a good sweeping and moping.

The staff are so horrible. Two girls around my age and I would never be rude to anyone at my legal workplace. Completely unacceptable. Dont know who they think they are working in a cafe.

I don't know what the delivery drivers done but all the toppings was everywhere, it's not usually a mess when it gets delivered so not best pleased considering it costs over £20 for a crepe and 3scoops of ice cream.

I always come here for desserts and I think they’re great. But my 2 issues would be 1) the customer service, for some reason staff are always moody and rude to you and I’ve been here quite a few times but it’s always the case. No idea why? Are they told in their training to give customers attitude? My mum asked for extra sauce once and the waitress told her she should’ve mentioned that when ordering and then after being rude just never brought it. The money for the extra sauce isn’t coming out of your pocket why are you stressed? 2) the seating. There aren’t many seats so sometimes, especially in the evening, there is literally nowhere to sit so you’ll have to get a takeout. For a restaurant as popular as this you’d assume they’d have sorted this out by now but no.

Great spot for all types of food, we go for sweet stuff like crepes and waffles but the burgers and pizzas look great too

Always a pleasure to visit this venue, we enjoyed good gelato and fresh coffee but the pizzas look good too and everyone friendly. Good value for this quality of food.

One of my fav places to go when I'm in Hull

Collected a Just Eat order on a Friday tea time. Order was accurate and exactly on time. Food was very good quality with good sized portions. Had a pizza, pesto and chicken panini and 2x fries. The fries portion size is massive, definitely a two person sharer. The panini was served with salad and coleslaw on the side.

The cookie dough was very nice but the ice-cream was not the one I ordered. Twice nice I've ordered mint chic chip and received an awful mint / strawberry combo.

Had to get a phone call coz delivery guy was at the wrong house to then get wrong items and no items sent,think with the amount of money I spent you would at least get the order right

Food here includes pizzas, burgers, milkshakes, baked cookie pans and the like. Pizza was piping hot and cheese was gooey and stringy. Meat toppings on pizza were plentiful as well. Strawberry frappe was delicious and the portion was large too. Service here isn't the best as we didn't see staff walking around often and they looked kinda angry tbh. Ordering here is self service so you'll have to walk up to the counter to place it. There is no student discount here. Expect prices on the actual menu to be more than advertised online.

It has the best ice cream place in the UK. Me and my family love it. Highly recommend

Got a delivery Spent £100 on 3 toasties, a burger, chips, 2 crepes and 3 drinks - expected it to be worth the money from some of the reviews - However, delivery missed off 1 meal, did bring it later after a phone call but should have been together, burger ok at a push, the rest was very poor, very little fillings in the toasties, the ‘G slaw’ was served in a ‘thimble’ and no better than bargain basement cheapest -crepes doughy and soggy - all in all very disappointing ! Wont be using again, suggest you don’t.

Fantastic icecream parlour with amazing flavour gelatos

An absolute paradise of hand made ice creams. A modern warm environment, very friendly and welcoming staff. Spoiled for choice. Able to try first helps a lot to decide on which scrumptiously delicious flavours to choose from. Great choice of coffees to top your tasty experience. A must visit and such a great addition to the Princes Avenue gastronomy.

Great that this place is open later into the evening/nights. Ice cream was great, nice vibe in the place. Only downside was staff were quite slow and inattentive.

I visited as a birthday treat. Very good service and excellent food. I had a minced beef toasties. ( There was a posh name on the menu, but I forgot ). And a delicious ice cream. Which I only ate half. I have a very small appetite. Absolutely superb. 💯

Great dessert served in a very welcoming restaurant. A lovely 13th wedding anniversary celebration ended with the Gelato style.😋

Foods great and service brilliant. Full of screaming kids and parents allowing their kids to use the place like a playground. No awareness of everyone else.

I ordered the bbq beef ‘panini’ on just eat and it came with a tub of stuff and salad which was not specified in the food item description. It would be nice to be informed of everything that was included in the order. And it was more of a toasty and not a panini. Other than that their tiramisu is amazing

Great range of ice creams, light snacks & drinks

Food and service was decent but sadly completely undermined by a horrendous atmosphere. The amount of noise and children screaming could only compare to standing next to the launch platform for the Apollo 11 mission. Perhaps worth trying at 11am in school term?

Wonderful as always, quick delivery and tasty exquisite fresh food. Tried the new halloumi wrap, highly recommend - it is DIVINE! My only recommendation would be to find a way to serve it without losing all the sauce as due it being heated, the chilli & yoghurt went a bit thinner and ran everywhere. Very messy. But not a complaint, more a request as it’s too tasty to lose half of the sauce :) thank you for a lovely anniversary treat!

Nice ice-cream lots of choice, down side for me was we had to use serviettes to clean our table, I noticed other tables were not cleared and cleaned before the next customer had seated.

White chocolate cake I wouldn’t have again, sponge was over sweet and over firm, not a nice soft fluffy cake like I’m used to. Waffle my son had looked nice though

The kebabish wrap was really tasty, I enjoyed it. The place is kid-friendly, it was quite busy at some point. The lightning is good as well... The staff were friendly and smiling.

My order said delivery time 7.16pm turned up 7.39pm half melted... Suppose you gotta have a bad order once in a while.

Their mango madness smoothie was heavenly. Their strawberry ice cream - 2 scoops - came like a GIANT ice cream in the pot, a generous portion. Lovely and quick, perfect in this heat, and the delivery guy was fab, despite his gps sending his literally round the houses! As always, cannot fault my order, quality, or experience! Thank you :)

Pancakes were black and burnt, which they knew because the covered and tried to hide it with the toppings. Don't charge £12 for pancakes and send them burnt and inedible

I didn't so much eat this as inhale it. Had a chicken burger (crunchy batter and delicious meat) and three scoops of their wonderful ice cream. It's as smooth and creamy as you like and I took time to savour it. Great service and food. Thanks.

The donut was stale, and the black forest gateaux was stale and the cream on the top had gone off, not what you expect for an order costing nearly £15.

Ordered a Chocolate brownie ice cream sundae and some Charros both were absolutely disgusting. The sundae wasn't even full to the top and had no brownie at all just basically crumbs the Churros were not even cooked properly and raw dough. Because it was through Uber I only got one refunded which was a load of rubbish, even sent photos to them the same in this review. For what you pay I'll never order again they used to be really nice and filled to the brim but what a joke.

First time ordering from Gelato very nice indeed. Loved the ‘real’ lettuce used in the burger. The chips were great as they weren’t covered in chip spice.

It was delivered about 15mins late which isn't the end of the world but it was also cold. The churros and Nutella pizza can't be reheated so unfortunately they were out. We still hoped we'd get the pizza reheated and manage to eat before 10. It was a tuna pizza so we knew reheating it meant it would be dry and not taste great but we were so hungry by that point we just wanted anything to eat. When we pulled out the pizza we realised that they had substituted the sweetcorn with mushrooms. Partner can't eat mushrooms and by this time it's nearly 10pm, almost 2 hours after originally ordering. He decided to just go to bed hungry and I made myself a snack and it all went into bin. Very expensive to just throw away and it was made more annoying by the fact they had every opportunity to mention the substitution by 1. Calling on the number provided 2. Not offering menu items they couldn't provide 3. Mentioning it when I called prior to my order being made or 4. When it was delivered. Given the extortionate prices the very least to be expected is hot food that is correct. It should all be exceptional to justify the prices compared to other places and a lot of reviewers have had the same issues so they don't seem to care about making things right or customer retention or they'd correct their pretty fundamental issues as a priority instead of continually repeating them.

Wife decided to treat the family to a lunch meal here today. From the waffles to the burgers the food here was delicious and arrived to the table at perfect temperature I had the "You've Pulled" burger the combination of burger and chicken with a mayo/mustard sauce with chips was more than enough for me alone. I'd happily recommend this establishment to friends and family

I am absolutely appalled by what has happened tonight. We did a £50 order (see above) and one of the items was missed off. We called the restaurant to tell them this and they told us it’s not there fault and we have to go and pick it up obviously this is after we have paid the £1.99 delivery fee. Not happy! The restaurant then went on to blame the delivery driver and said that they took it (which I do not believe) and find this very unprofessional how they tried to pass the blame on. They ruined our night we ordered this as a treat for the kids we only get to see once a week and this then happened we had one child without there ice cream whilst the others had there’s not only that the restaurant then made me leave the house to go and pick this up! Also not to mention the fact I am pregnant and this was at 9:30 at night. I am not happy at all and will never be ordering from cafe gelato ever again especially after how we have been treated!! I am so disappointed and demand a refund for this and the inconvenience. A family night ruined! Also to add on the restaurant didn't once apologise for this.

The food there is good, and the service is very good with friendly staff only thing its always busy and need more staff at the cashier and to be more organised to take the order fast specially the waiting place is small and the seats are next to the till.

The price point may be slightly higher than some other places but it's worth it. The churros and Nutella pizza were delicious. The only thing I'd suggest is containing food better for delivery so it retains heat better, ans maybe add options to add toppings to the sweet pizzas. Overall really lovely. Was incredibly full and probably won't move for some time but I have no regret.

Appalling place. Place wasn’t busy yet took 15mins for me to able to actually collect my order. Once I got my order , I see the milk cake slice I received and what was advertised in their counter was half the size … which is ridiculous especially with the high prices and bad service.
