Caffe Gelato in Kingston upon Hull, City of

The pistachio ice cream was disappointing as it didn't have pistachio flavourful.

I ordered a delivery from Café Gelato Princes Avenue via Just Eat and it’s officially the worst food delivery I’ve had. The order arrived 30 minutes late The waffles were cold The ice cream melted The chocolate smeared all over the packaging And the worst part is my husband and my hard earned £30 has been wasted. Would have passed this feedback by call but the call kept going to voicemail. I support Café Gelato, but this seriously needs to change. I’m not ordering online from you again. Take care God Bless

We’ve ordered from here before and really enjoyed but this time upon ordering the Viral Pistachio Strawberries, we were so disappointed. Not only was there barely any kanafeh but the cup was filled with chocolate curls that weren’t melted and approximately two sliced strawberries. Not only this, but we only got half a portion. Literally ruined my day. Hesitant to order again…

food was good pizza, burger ans chips but don't think it was worth the amount I paid it came cold as well had to go out to driver who was stood at top of my street he didn't call I decided to go out after seeing him on the maps near my street for 10 minutes resulting in cold food wasn't too impressed

Part of the order didn’t turn up, Caffe Gelato wasn’t helpful blamed the delivery driver rude on the phone also, customer service needs working on.

I ordered 3 scoop of ice cream, and i was waiting 50 mins for it! Also when you go to coffe gelato and buy an ice cream the scoops are quite big quantities, but when i order…. Which is more expansive, i have 3 scoops in pot but sometimes is coming in a plastic container which is very big, so i don’t know how is that working… disappointing… is not first time, and also the nutella flavour was not like usual… different taste

So disappointing and we order from here regularly. Wrong ice cream sent, cookie dough was burnt to a crisp, even the paper looked like it had caught fire. Dubai chocolate only got 4 pieces for half bar?? Not sure what was wrong as usually no complaints.

Great quality food but sent the wrong items

I have been going there since it first opened and been running business like this for years myself but today unfortunately the service was not right at all as the staff don't listen or treat customers right .The young Arab lad working in the store brings the foods to the table and runs away back never listens or asks if we needed anything else just drops the order and goes back saying nothing at all. I have observed him doing the same things to other customers too but come one the staffs need to be properly trained people spend money there they don't come to take the food for free and it is called customer service .Working with People is not an easy job all you need is the right people

Delicious ice cream my grandson loved it! 😋

Even in a weekday lunch the venue was quite vibrant. We had the tiramisu and it was pleasant, however I found the top layer of cream quite dense and claggy. I felt it could have been softer like the bottom layer, but overall was still a nice dish served on a chocolate sauce

don't know if this place has got it in for us ? pizza and slice short after complain about cold food last night ,thought we'd give it benefit of doubt, what a joke

An absolute paradise of hand made ice creams. A modern warm environment, very friendly and welcoming staff. Spoiled for choice. Able to try first helps a lot to decide on which scrumptiously delicious flavours to choose from. Great choice of coffees to top your tasty experience. A must visit and such a great addition to the Princes Avenue gastronomy.

Everything is fine except for the fact that they brought us tablespoons for desserts 😂 please buy dessert utensils

I did not receive the blackforest gateau ice cream

Had a lovely visit. Ordered lunch, Drinks & the Dubai chocolate Ganache for my daughter. Staff were really lovely & smiley. Food came out pretty quickly & was all hot and fresh. The ganache was in my daughter’s words the best thing she’s eaten. She gave it 10/10. Lovely atmosphere. Will definitely return

Absolute trash. Messed the entire order up. Cake was stale. Ice-cream was half melted. Pouring cream delivered instead of whipping cream for the cake. Only 2 scoops instead of three. Requested a refund/replacement never heard anything back from anyone.

Don’t eat here with dietary requirements. I was told all waffles could be made gluten free and I raised this as some had brownie on etc. I asked to see the allergen menu which was a folder full of sheets and nobody could clearly tell me what was ok to eat. When I explained that it was serious the staff member threw the menu down and walked away, as nobody was sure I didn’t eat. The young female staff members were very rude and I was made to feel a huge inconvenience so I didn’t eat while all my friends did

Excellent food with reasonable prices. Very friendly and helpful staff. Service is rapid. Chicken burgers are great, as are the paninis.

always lovely great gelato but unfortunately gave two scoops of chocolate instead of one chocolate and one black forest! bit disappointed as normally spot on.

Absolutely delicious food as always

I visited the place today, the staff are awesome, they even sang a birthday song for my inlaw with just a short notice, they really made our day. Cool atmosphere, warm restaurants, I just love everything about their service.

One had just 4 pancakes but both of them were only covered by melted chocolate. Each have a 1 strawberry cut into pieces. Rediciless portion for 13 pounds.

I wanted to order Nutella ice cream with waffles but then the staff got me just ice cream with cone. I thought they would serve me ice cream and waffles separately. But they think is waffle cone. I ask them for Waffles but then they said that they don't have it. I ask them for an explanation then the staff said they don't know how to make one. When it says it on the menu that it's has waffles. The ice cream was nice but I think they can show their customer service skills a lot better.

My friend and I have been eating in cafe gelato since it opened. I have to say I have tried many different meals and I have never been disappointed at the food as it’s always cooked fresh. The staff are very friendly too. Lovely clean place to enjoy lovely food. Vegan food is very nice too. And the burgers.

Love this place for a dessert the gelato is very nice with lots of flavour. Pizzas are fresh and cooked to perfection. My favourite is the panini's, so tasty and make my mouth water for the next bite.

I ordered a ladbible burger, which is normally fantastic. The site listing does not mention salad or avocado. However, when the burger arrived it contained onion pieces (which I can't eat) and avocado (which I also avoid).

Ordered a waffle and 2 cookie dough from Uber eats. Driver left the waffle so rang up cafe gelato and this gent answered the phone saying he’ll deliver it to me himself. Lovely guy came on his bike. Tried to tip him but he refused. Absolutely lovely man and amazing customer service.

The delivery man was very quick and took very good care of my food, he protected it like it was his own :)

Popped in today for lunch .we ordered lates and the mushroom pizza coffees were lovely ..the pizza was ridiculasly good ..lots of cheese and mushrooms and piping hot ..we thought it was a really good price aswell..we'll be back

What a place! This is a dream location to bring the family. Friendly staff and friendly atmosphere coupled with amazing tasting food and literally ice cream to die for Highly recommended

We only went in for two cones and a coffee, they sat us at the table that apparently was reserved, took them over 15 minutes to complete the order, but we were asked to leave the table 5 minutes later. Also floor could use a good sweeping and moping.

The staff are so horrible. Two girls around my age and I would never be rude to anyone at my legal workplace. Completely unacceptable. Dont know who they think they are working in a cafe.

I don't know what the delivery drivers done but all the toppings was everywhere, it's not usually a mess when it gets delivered so not best pleased considering it costs over £20 for a crepe and 3scoops of ice cream.

I always come here for desserts and I think they’re great. But my 2 issues would be 1) the customer service, for some reason staff are always moody and rude to you and I’ve been here quite a few times but it’s always the case. No idea why? Are they told in their training to give customers attitude? My mum asked for extra sauce once and the waitress told her she should’ve mentioned that when ordering and then after being rude just never brought it. The money for the extra sauce isn’t coming out of your pocket why are you stressed? 2) the seating. There aren’t many seats so sometimes, especially in the evening, there is literally nowhere to sit so you’ll have to get a takeout. For a restaurant as popular as this you’d assume they’d have sorted this out by now but no.

Always a pleasure to visit this venue, we enjoyed good gelato and fresh coffee but the pizzas look good too and everyone friendly. Good value for this quality of food.

One of my fav places to go when I'm in Hull

Collected a Just Eat order on a Friday tea time. Order was accurate and exactly on time. Food was very good quality with good sized portions. Had a pizza, pesto and chicken panini and 2x fries. The fries portion size is massive, definitely a two person sharer. The panini was served with salad and coleslaw on the side.

The cookie dough was very nice but the ice-cream was not the one I ordered. Twice nice I've ordered mint chic chip and received an awful mint / strawberry combo.

Had to get a phone call coz delivery guy was at the wrong house to then get wrong items and no items sent,think with the amount of money I spent you would at least get the order right

Caffe Gelato sent 2 French vanilla ice creams when I ordered 2 Unicorn ice creams

Food here includes pizzas, burgers, milkshakes, baked cookie pans and the like. Pizza was piping hot and cheese was gooey and stringy. Meat toppings on pizza were plentiful as well. Strawberry frappe was delicious and the portion was large too. Service here isn't the best as we didn't see staff walking around often and they looked kinda angry tbh. Ordering here is self service so you'll have to walk up to the counter to place it. There is no student discount here. Expect prices on the actual menu to be more than advertised online.

It has the best ice cream place in the UK. Me and my family love it. Highly recommend

Got a delivery Spent £100 on 3 toasties, a burger, chips, 2 crepes and 3 drinks - expected it to be worth the money from some of the reviews - However, delivery missed off 1 meal, did bring it later after a phone call but should have been together, burger ok at a push, the rest was very poor, very little fillings in the toasties, the ‘G slaw’ was served in a ‘thimble’ and no better than bargain basement cheapest -crepes doughy and soggy - all in all very disappointing ! Wont be using again, suggest you don’t.

I visited as a birthday treat. Very good service and excellent food. I had a minced beef toasties. ( There was a posh name on the menu, but I forgot ). And a delicious ice cream. Which I only ate half. I have a very small appetite. Absolutely superb. 💯

Great dessert served in a very welcoming restaurant. A lovely 13th wedding anniversary celebration ended with the Gelato style.😋

Foods great and service brilliant. Full of screaming kids and parents allowing their kids to use the place like a playground. No awareness of everyone else.

I ordered the bbq beef ‘panini’ on just eat and it came with a tub of stuff and salad which was not specified in the food item description. It would be nice to be informed of everything that was included in the order. And it was more of a toasty and not a panini. Other than that their tiramisu is amazing
