Visited here yesterday with small children having ice cream and coffee for us. Everything was great and made to feel very welcome. Don't understand why people queue at other establishments when this is same price bracket and good quality. Will definitely visit again when in the area.

Absolutely gorgeous bowl of pasta. So tasty and perfect portion size. Spot on 👌🏻

The home made ragu pasta was fantastic! A side of greens broccoli or spinach, would have made it perfect but there was only salad option.

Usually love going here for lunch during the week. However on this occasion, I hadn’t been in a couple of weeks and asked politely if they had the menu for the lunchtime deal. A rude member of staff said no, following in with ‘well you can leave’ when we was more than happy to stay it was just a simple question. That didn’t need a response so rude. I then did leave as she was stood above us ‘looking down’ on us.

Lovely place to eat, surprised at the great value as well. Izzy was wonderfully sweet and attentive ☺️

First visit to Hull and we come from ‘down South’ so hadn’t heard of Bert’s. We chose a small plate each and some garlic ciabatta to share. Food was really hot and tasty. Great staff - friendly service by Poppy, thank you.

The service was impeccable. The waiter explained everything to us, small plates, etc. He made that everything was to our liking. The food was exceptional. I can not understand the other review about sizes. It states on the menu small plates, etc. I have been a couple of times & never had anything other than positive comments. I think some people just complain because they want a free lunch.

On a nice Thursday evening in Hull we headed to a favourite spot of ours, Humber Street. We have been to Bert’s Pizza restaurant in Hull many times and had various degrees of success, but this was our first visit to Bert’s Pasta. It was amazing! We were welcomed by Jake and shown to a table with great views of Humber Street and the Marina. A bottle of house Red followed along with some house Rosé and we were left to read through the menu. A great variety of dishes on offer meant we took our time deciding but eventually ordered 1 Burrata & 1 Beetroot Carpaccio to start. This was followed by 1 Tagliatelle Alfredo, 1 Beef Pappardelle & 1 Tuscan Chicken Pappardelle along with sides of 1 Broccolini & a portion of Parmesan & Rosemary fries. To dust this all off we had 3 portions of Tiramisu. The flavours in these dishes were amazing and we will definitely be back the next time we visit Hull. Jake was very welcoming, friendly and efficient, thank you.

Had a really lovely meal at Berts Pasta tonight - Jake and the rest of the team looked after us from the moment we arrived. Highly recommend and can’t wait to return soon.

An excellent experience (This restaurant is part of a family concept inspired by Italy. There is a place with the same name nearby that serves mainly pizza, it is also worth visiting DELICIOUS pizza, one of the best we have ever eaten)

I came in for food last night with my husband and the food was really nice compliments to the chef. Good portion sizes and food was to die for. The 2 girls chloe and hannah was lovely and really great service. We will be back.

Popped in about 3pm on Saturday and had a great experience. Love the spacious, bright layout of the restaurant. Our waitress was fantastic - knowledgeable and friendly and not pushy at all. The food was exceptional. I highly recommend the calamari starter. Both myself and my partner thoroughly enjoyed our meal and we will definitely be going again. Thank you!

Bert's Pasta bar on the corner of Humber Street is a very modern, popular, and stylish eating establishment. It is in the heart of the very trendy and modern fruit market and the Marina area of the city. I called in for a drink. There is not much of a choice of beers. It's more for wine and cocktails. It's a nice place. The staff are very friendly. I didn't have anything to eat, but the food looked very good. There is an excellent choice on the menu and some fantastic looking ice cream. It's not really a place for having a drink more of an eating establishment.

Iwona is such an amazing manager, always helpful with great food advices. Service and food on top top level. Best place in Hull with amazing atmosphere:) will be back

My partner and I had heard good things about Bert's so we decided to pop in for lunch. The starters were pricey but quite nice. The issues arose with the main course, after my partner was assured by the waitress that the alfredo pasta she had ordered didn't contain onions. The dish arrived and was full of diced onions. I queried this with the waitress whose response was "I've eaten it before and never noticed it had onions in it". No replacement meal was offered, and when it came to the bill no refund was offered for my partner's main, meaning she left the restaurant hungry and disappointed. The food itself was okay overall, but nothing to shout about, especially considering the price and portion sizes. Leave the tapas to the Spanish.

Amazing food! Literally the best pasta I've ever had. Service was great too. Only downside I would point out is no kids menu ( they did straight away say they could make her anything) and no normal dishes all small plates but once eating was worth the price quality was top notch.

What a lovely restaurant this is. Went on Christmas Eve. Lovely welcome, decorated beautifully and the food was outstanding. Definitely recommend.

Misleading menu and unhelpful staff. A nice atmosphere with stylish decor, however the large text on the menu stating that their pasta is ‘100% vegan’ is entirely useless when every pasta dish contained meat or dairy with no option to remove said ingredients. The waitress was very unhelpful but did admit that it was “super annoying”. Apathetic staff never returned to take payment for our drinks after which we left looking for something decent to eat. Will avoid in future.

What a lovely place, staff were brilliant with recommendations and friendly. Food was excellent, amazing burrata, Pasta was fantastic and tiramisu gorgeous. Will definitely visit again soon.

Food portions are tiny for the price and quality that was provided. Great atmosphere and location but does not justify the price or taste of food with nearby competition being so good

Beef Nachos w/ pasta tortilla chips Tagliatelle Alfredo Tiramisu In order of appearance: the service, the food and the view are all of the highest quality here. All three courses for a very reasonable off season price. I’d happily have paid a third more. Everything prepared fresh with the best ingredients and with love obviously. I had the nachos as I’d never had pasta tortilla chips before. Excellent, and the chilli delicious. I think more of a sour cream as a dip rather than just mayonnaise but that’s me living near Mexico. Things are different here but in a better way. They’ve evolved what we love and that’s a treat. Equally the Alfredo and Tiramisu so very tasty. I’ve had both in Italy and I prefer this resturant. You can tell they are always tasting their product. This is very important. The proportions were exactly right for the richness of the food. Get there now in the quiet season. This place is going places. I only wish I had more time in Hull to taste more❣️

Really impressed with this place. Ask Italia was full, so we went here, thank goodness for that! Yes, as others have said, the portions aren't big, they're served on plates about 20cm diameter, but the plates are full. I couldn't finish my tagliatelle. Really well cooked and presented food, full of flavour and so good not to have a mountain of food put in front of you. If you're still hungry after one, just order another, service was really quick, despite it being almost full. Lovely friendly staff too.

We had spare time in Hull and stumbled across this place. The food was amazing, some of the best Tortellini I've ever had (something I didn't think I'd say before visiting hull) and the Bread was nicely made. However they're not kidding when they say small plates, if you've worked up a bit of an appetite you'll need to order more than one portion to satisfy your hunger. As delicious as it was a couple hours later we started to feel like we needed another bite to eat. Atmosphere is really pleasant and Dec our server was super nice.

Best pasta in town, ravioli, burrata and parpadelle so fresh and sauce exceptional, couldn’t recommend enough.

Paid a visit to Bert’s Pasta Bar mid afternoon on a Monday and there were plenty of people eating and enjoying the fabulous food and atmosphere. The interior is really cool with really nice designer furniture and is light, spacious and airy. Both members of staff greeted us very warmly and were very friendly, professional and knowledgeable about the menu which had loads of choices of different sized plates. We had the Barata with bread, Halibut steak, seafood pasta, and a really yummy garlic bread. Everything was really good quality and we had a really nice glass of house Chardonnay too. All in all a great experience-you could say the plates are slightly pricey for their size, but the quality on offer is worth the price - we’ll be back for another visit.

The pasta itself is very nice but the portions are so small. My boyfriend paid £12 and got given one piece of chicken on a plate bear in mind this was our second visit to berts and initially the portions were a lot bigger for the price. When we asked the waitress why she said that it is a tapas restaurant- nowhere does it mention that berts is tapas, she then made it sound like it was our own fault for not knowing it was tapas when in reality they just didn’t want to refund or replace a £12 single piece of chicken. Thinking we were in the wrong we took a photo and not to our suprise everyone we knew commented how ridiculous it looked and we’re shocked to learn how expensive it was.

Beautiful location over looking the marina. A great spot for drinks with friends and family, enjoying tasty cicchetti/ tappas style sharing plates and freshly made pasta. The staff are really helpful and friendly and the restaurant is cozy and stylish.

After visiting Hull numerous times over the years we’ve always wanted to dine here, and we finally did. Food and surroundings were great! Would definitely recommend it.

First time here for Sunday brunch, absolutely amazing. We had the Italian full breakfast and is was the best I have had for ages, very tasty. Charlie was our server and was very nice and helpful. The decor is lovely and all is very clean. Will be back for more in the next few weeks.

This was the best dining experience I’ve had in Hull and East Riding for a while. The food was fresh and high quality. And our waiter Charlie was unfailingly attentive and accommodating. Good Gluten Free options too!

Absolutely love this restaurant! Lovely scenery, stunning bar, very scrumptious and reasonably priced food. The portion sizes of the mains aren’t huge; but nonetheless very filling and we are never dissatisfied. The staff are wonderful, I have only one singular issue, that being it’s closed from Sunday to Tuesday only opening back up on Wednesday which is super sad for me!

Gorgeous place in a lovely spot. Food was delicious. Menu was lovely and the atmosphere was nice however the service was quite slow for our mains. It wasn't a major problem if you're not limited to time but we had kids to pick up so it left us cutting it fine for time. A really nice place though and well worth visiting. Thankyou

Went for lunch had a good time although I've lowered the rating as the service was very slow.with very few customers. The food was brilliant but portion size could of been better as after 6 items I still felt hungry but the flavour was unreal.
