CaféGenic in Barnet

Just popped in here for a quick coffee. It was so good I had to have another, then, I saw the food delivered to the table next to me and had to order that too! All I can say is the food and the coffee were both miles better than you would ever get in a chain coffee shop.

About to leave London after a night out and decided on a brunch near where we parked the car in Hendon. The food and coffee was amazing, decently priced and in a buzzy atmosphere. The “Full Mediterranean” was one of the best I’ve had. Highly recommend!!

We will definitely be back to try the many dishes on the menu. Decided to stop for brunch to start our weekend away with a delicious brunch. The food was amazing, all four of us enjoyed our food. The yokes of our poached eggs were golden and runny. The bread was delicious. A special shout out to Alexandra who served our table. She was attentive and friendly.

Their busy and for a reason. Really good. Staff are all warm, pleasant and friendly. Despite how busy they were Sunday late morning/early afternoon brunch, I had to admire how the staff remained calm, polite and helpful whilst also delivering delicious food. Clean. I was lucky to get a seat. Seating is quite close together. There are some tables outside too. Excellent brunch selection from eggs to porridge, pancakes, smoothies and more. I had the homemade granola and black americano which was so good. Well presented, freshly made and a generous portion. The sweetness from the berry coulis on the granola balanced with a slightly bitter americano was perfect. A satisfying and delightful breakfast. The eggs that most people were having looked good too. I would come back to try this. Reasonably priced. Highly recommend.

Wish we had found this place sooner on our visit to London. Great atmosphere and excellent gluten-free cakes.

Ssshhh….it’s a secret….Cafe Genic’s birthday cakes are scrumptious. Ordered a gluten free birthday cake for a friend’s birthday at Cafe Genic again and now everyone at the party wants their details. What’s more; Bernadett’s impeccable service, she’s professional, friendly and organised and made the ordering process smooth and easy. Thank you Bernadett.

Best cafe in the area, we tried a few cafes in Hendon and wasn’t happy we was then walking past CafeGenic and thought we would give it a try as me and the miss are big coffee drinkers. Hands down best place we have been. Thank you guys staff are also very polite and attentive!!

We came here after a wedding at Hendon Town Hall to decompress over excellent food and drink. The lovely Bernadette (who has an amazing memory) took care of our complex orders (vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, carnivore), making sure everything was perfect. I can't recommend this place enough. The quality of service, food & drink needs to be experienced. Thank you!

Fantastic service and most importantly really good quality, tasty food. They allowed us to alter the food choice to accommodate our needs and all with a smile. We have already returned once and will do this regularly as it is great to have a cafe that both suits non vegetarian and vegetarian customers.

Coffee I live and die for . So i know a good coffee when I get one . The coffee kept me coming back, time after time. So now I’ve tried the juices, food and cakes. I’m dairy and gluten free and I can’t recommend this place enough. Everything is just amazing 😻 My favourite cafe in the world!!! Go and try everything. You won’t be disappointed ❤️ The staff are very friendly and welcoming too. 10/10 I’m so glad I found this little cafe . Thank you 😊

Had breakfast here on Sunday morning. The service was very helpful and friendly. The food was excellent. I would recommend.

Best brunch in all of London. Actually best brunch I've ever had anywhere. Highly, highly recommend. Ended up coming here multiple times throughout my trip. I was especially impressed by the mediterranean full and the very berry pancakes. They also have excellent vegan options, and the staff is wonderful!

Great coffee and great food. Brunch all day, dishes made with love. I’ve tried both the vegetarian shakshuka and toast with avokado, salmon and free-range eggs. I recommend this relaxed place!

Visited today with family, friendly welcome by staff. Ordered vegan on toast x 2, berry pancakes, mozzarella sandwich and chicken sandwich. Everything was very tasty. Drinks were good although not very hot. Definitely would return and highly recommend

5.90 pound for tuna sandwich which was burnt and hard as rock, terrible taste. Such a rip off and waste of time.

Lovely cafe. Good menu of brunch classics from eggs to pancakes, pastries and more. Very clean including the toilets. I don't normally use public toilets but these were clean. Free, quite fast WIFI. Tables outside and inside. Was quite busy on a weekday morning so guessing they are likely to be packed on the weekend! Nice atmosphere. I sat for about an hour. The americano black was perfect and spot on as was my omelette which came with a slice of toasted bread and a small side salad comprising cherry tomato and wild rocket salad. All freshly made, well presented and faultless. Loved it. Staff were pleasant but could be friendlier which is why I gave this a 4 instead of a 5. Service was good and they were pleasant but they needed to be friendlier and smile a bit more. Nice local cafe if you are in the area.
